I am gonna try this against stacked WvW zergs!
I found one at the south-eastern point of Cursed Shore, still looking for the other one.
Since engi’s lose the stats of their weapons when they equip a kit, I was wondering if it was a good idea to get healing stats on you main weapon. In many cases you won’t be using your weapon that much and whenever you need to heal you switch to your main to get a healing bonus. This way, at least one of your weapon stats is used to its full potential.
It will probably not be viable for many builds, but maybe worth considering.

I have a bomb/grenade combination at the moment. I am constantly spamming almost all conditions AoE style. Bleeds, burn, posion, vulnerability, blind, freeze, cripple, confusion. It’s nice being able to go short range or (very) long range depending on the situation. I also buff myself with lots of boons, including basically permanent vigor nicely combined with leaving a bomb on dodge. As support I can take conditions from allies with my 2 thrown elixers. So mostly conditions, being somewhat though and doing decent damage both direct and through condition damage. I have never experienced comments like ‘no engi’s in this dungeon run’ and so far most people seem to be happy with my performance. I am at lv 34 fractal’s and still going good. It is more challenging to play than with my mesmer but I just cannot stop playing engineer.
Sort of funny I found this thread when I found this little.. let’s call it a oddity in talent points. We get a 50% increase in endurance regen in Grandmaster Major. To put this in comparison, here is a small list.
Ranger – Minor Adept (50% static)
Ele – Major Master (though only 25% and with a sceptor)
Ele Again – Major Adept (100% when channeling)
Thief – Minor Master (returns a portion, but can be considered faster regen)Other:
Warrior – Minor Master (50% on burst use)
Engi – Minor Adept (10% on toolbelt use)
Ele – Major Master(25% on signet and arcane use)From the logic I can gather, as a primarily ranged class we are SO OP we have to be hit with less dodging. And what’s worse, is it used to be a Minor Adept, but like usual we were nerfed. (big surprise right?)
I found another oddity.
Ele – Minor Grandmaster (2% damage per boon)
Engi – Minor Grandmaster (1% damage per boon)
I have that too. No response yet? I will make a bug report in-game.
My dad figured it out. In my case it had to do with AVG antivirus filter. It’s explained in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfqMKbtxbUY
It works on a PC I haven’t tried before. It has worse performance than the tested one but at least I can play the game for now.
I have the “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” as well in the first screen that pops up when I open Guild Wars 2. I have not downloaded a patch for about a week. The same problem occurs when I try another PC in the home. Attached is the test result of Game Advisor.
