Go to any online game’s supppoer forum and the number 1 complaint is lag and disconnects, now if it was just A GW2 issue then there wouldn’t be an issue in any other game in the world but this is not the case if it was Anet, NCSoft, or any other part of the game with an issue then this would effect “EVERYONE” that is not the case. The only time I have ever had issues with the game is when the servers are having an issue “A REAL ISSUE” where Anet has come on to these forums and announced that they are having technical issues, or my isp is having issues I have been playing this game since release and can count on one hand how many time I have lost connection or have had lag and since the time this thread has started I have had no issues. So for those of you that can’t be convinced " IT’ S THE INTERENET" you might as well go play something else, because it not going to change anytime soon and it’s out of Anet’s control!

I’m sorry my friend but have you read any trace routes and can you understand any of the data in there?
The only two things that are consistent in the issues found across players both here and on reddit is that the issue started happening after the patch head of the snake and it’s a single Anet node that’s being problematic. cdnetworks-gw.ip4.gtt.net [77.67.71.122]

One more thing, do you work for Anet customer support? I noticed all your posts are in this subsection but you never really contribute to anything other than tell us to stop complaining and it’s always not Anet related. You should ask for a red tag maybe we can finally be happy someone from the company replied to their customer issues.

Nonetheless, I got an update from CS ticket myself, after a batch of troubleshooting and testing the new GM is asking me for the same troubleshooting tests as my previous one even though I keep sending data where NA works flawlessly and the EU account is problematic due to that node.

If this persists I guess I could ask the CS for a free transfer to NA for a season or two.

Connection error 7:11:3:191:101 [merged]

For the first time in years I had this error code (7:11:3:191:101) when trying to log-in with my EU account a couple of hours ago and it kept happening constantly for the past 2h, I’m logged in now but I’m still experiencing other issues.

I’m sure this error code, at least on my case, is related to my other issues that started with the Head of the Snake patch, posted with other players in this thread

Having same issues here. All started once the patch Head of the Snake was released.
Funnily enough it only happens to my EU account and not the NA one.

Firstly I would recommend you guys to do proper testing and post the data here, use a tool like Pingplotter or WinMTR (second one being free). Get the ip from multiple map instances with /ip in game and put it there and let it run for a while.

Also if possible you guys should make a F2P account and test it on both EU and NA like I did, I found out the problem seems to be consistently with a node cdnetworks-gw.ip4.gtt.net at least on my case which also happens to be the first node from Anet side on EU where ncsoft-ic-307707-dls-b21.c.telia.net is the first on NA.

I already am in contact with support but considering this issue is affecting multiple people here and also other friends from NA which do play in EU, I decided to post here and link this thread too to the support ticket I sent. All I can do now is hope anyone will answer else I will have to wait for another patch like this to fix or break things more.

Below are two tests, first on NA and second on EU. As it can be seen the latency spikes on cdnetworks-gw.ip4.gtt.net and after that everything goes wrong.

Also my 200 base ping is expected due to where I’m playing from, sadly can’t do much about that one but it’s still playable when you compare to 1.6k ping or even more (only on EU).

If we compare the average and worst values, it’s easy to see how the EU one seems to have an issue right now.

Having the same issue here, previous 100% map completion prior to HoT expansion and not getting anything from completing the new maps.

I just wanted my engi hammer, I kinda dig the skin and the map completion is the only item missing in the collection.

DC-ing today every 2-5 minutes. 7:11:3:191:101 everytime.

Having the exact same problem as him (Code=7:11:3:191:101), it all starter some hours ago when I was doing some world bosses, had a bit of lag, dc the first time then everything got unstable.

Alright, I usually don’t post in the forums but since the devs said it’s a WiP and they would like our feedback about the changes here it is.

1 – Thanks for the hobosack thing guys.
2 – Overall specialization (traits) changes sound pretty cool, we had some traits that no one picked and some that needed small changes.
3 – One of my favorite wvw builds was killed though and that made me a bit sad(more about it later on with a link if you guys want it for whatever reason).
4 – There’s four changes that I quite don’t understand / like so I will talk more about them below.

  • Robo Legs (Firearms Specialization)
    On paper, mixing power shoes and leg mods sounds amazing, specially for a bunker engi but from what I understood (and correct me, please, if I’m wrong) the power shoes part is just an increase in swiftness duration (maybe speed?) And not the flat 25% move speed bonus we used to have.
    Also, why would a trait (well traits) that were build defining for bunker engis be on the firearms specialization line which sounds like some sort of condition damage line just like explosives specialization sounds like something from a power damage line? Why not put it back at the new and improved bunker / medic line (inventions)? It totally sounds like something that an inventor would create to improve whatever he’s doing with his legs.
  • Formula 409 (Tools Specialization)
    I can see this trait working here and not depending on how I look at it, that’s why I’m still unsure if this is the right place for it, but right now I’m still more inclined of it being on the alchemy line and tools working more with kits / gadgets)
    From one side, it totally makes sense being on the tools line (We basically throw elixirs to remove conds) and since this line reduces the cooldown on toolbelt skills, it does synergize well.
    On the other side of the coin, this was one of the traits that defined an elixir build, engineers have poor condition removal and whenever you ran two or more elixirs, it made a lot of sense for an engi that goes deep on the alchemy line to get, not only this but fast acting elixirs (and in some cases, HGH). Whenever you saw an engi with more than 2 elixirs you could bet he was an “alchemist” with 409 / other elixir traits.
  • Protection Injection (Alchemy Specialization) and Stabilized Armor (RIP)
    Well this combo was what kept me alive many times on wvw, there’s a limit of how many stuns you can evade and you can bet one thing, on gvg and blob fights, there’s more than enough stuns to lock a poor engi.
    The juggernaut change which made it be what it was back in the day won’t be enough to make up for this loss due to many things, one being the number of stacks it will give (which would be extremely hard to balance since in spvp it would be ridiculous OP if it gave many stab stacks) and the fact FT simple sucks.
  • HEAL-SPLOSION (Inventions Specialization)
    Well, we don’t know a lot about this (heal coefficients, maybe internal cd? number of blasts we can have with the mortar trait changes?) so all I can do is speculate. The good old Elixir Infused Bombs was a build defining trait. The only reason we became grandmasters in the inventions line was for that thing It gave the bomb kit functionality outside of just DPS.
    This was another trait that made this weird gvg build of mine work and I will miss it more than any other engi trait, more than kit refinement and god I miss that thing while roaming.

To conclude, I think I will have a lot of fun roaming with the new changes, most of the time I roam on wvw and I’m happy to be able to run other things than crate for example, but how I play my weird gvg / blob engi will have to change quite a bit or on the worst case just stop existing but for that we need more info about the changes, I hope the guys at Anet have another look at it, overall things look pretty cool tho.

Hello, I don’t post at all in the forums (I have been lurking here for ages though) but since no one answered this yet I took your build and played a bit with it: Build Link

I checked your sign and it looks like this build is for wvw, right? I usually don’t run with grenades (just a personal preference) So the extra points in the explosives line would probably go to the firearms and inventions for me.

As for your original build, I have some things to comment about:

  • You should have sigil of battle on the main weapon, it has great synergy with runes of strength.
  • You had invigorating speed but no way to obtain swiftness (considering if you’re running solo)
  • Empowering Adrenaline is good but whenever I go with grenades, even with a power set, I would choose Shrapnel instead. (the might will give you a small amount of cond damage but the most important, it will add a good deal of pressure).

Don’t forget to experiment with other types of gear and utilities, I love bomb kit for example and I would never trade grenades for it, this kind of variety is what makes engis special for me.

I’m sure more experienced power engis will post their thoughts as well, so good luck.

I see, it’s just a skill explanation thing and they sould not work anyway with any of the skills I said except the well of blood right?

The weird thing now is that I just used a well of blood during the wvw and no one around me got a regen. Can anyone test this? Does this have a really small radius? (I was at the guy side anyway)

I will try later the following healing skills: Consume conditions and Prayer to Dwayna. Would the blood fiend minion also count as a “true” healing skill?

Greetings everyone!
This is my first post in the forums (even thought I used to lurk here a little), so let me do a quick intro.


My first and main character in the game, as probably many of you is a necromancer.
I played during the first week, then took some time off after finding some Orr skill challenges bugged (I wanted to complete the entire world, I’m back since things are fixed).

Right now I’m playing as a support necromancer (I hope I’m not that rare), I mainly use wells and marks. My current trait points distribution is: 20 Curses, 20 Death Magic, 30 Blood Magic.
I played with a minion necromancer until level 30 but the little guys didn’t help me that much and sometimes they actually almost killed me, wells in the other hand (except for the really long cooldown and small uptime, are really good).


Ok, That’s all for the introduction, now here is the problem.

My current set has the superior rune of Dwana on it (it’s Mhenlo’s armor) and My secondary weapon has the Superior sigil of water.

Maybe I’m not paying enough attention since I usually tested it on wvw but I can’t seem to activate the 6th bonus of the runes when using mark of blood or attacking with the weapon that has the sigil of water (it has 30% activation rate but it never procs)

this is the 6th bonus of the Dwayna rune:
“When you use a healing skill, you and all nearby allies gain regeneration for 5 seconds. (Cooldown: 10s)”


Can anyone who has a support necro and both runes and sigil mentioned help me test this?

Wich one of those skills count as healing for the runes to proc?

  • Sigil of water (on the weapon)
  • Mark of blood
  • Well of blood

Also, necros with any other healing skills that with to test this are welcome.
