It’s just a creative use of armor and color mixing along with the right hairstyles. The armor is light armor but I haven’t identified all the parts and the dye order.

This is pretty much a solo game...

I tend to run with a group, but that’s made up of illusions or minions or a pet. Haha.

Apart from there, in the open world there is group content that people can definitely not do solo unless you have a lot of time, mainly being Champion events near chests. Actually most chests in the open world have either a non-soloable champion or a large mob that you need a group to take down – effective risk and reward right there.

But even with the implementation of these, most players just avoid it instead preferring to zerg quickly respawning events instead of these niche areas with one chest and a strong boss.

It’s not how the game is made, it’s how you play it. (Although sometimes certain things do have to be adjusted by the devs)

Laurels. Thoughts?

The main aim for dailies is to ensure that there is a constant amount of the playerbase around everyday. Like GW and WoW only implemented dailies when their playerbase starting going south. It’s just a method of ensuring people come back everyday instead of once a week so wanting a weekly instead of a daily will not happen.

Edit: I for one am not a daily gamer either. I try but there are times when I’m just too busy and sleep takes a precedent over getting that one laurel, 5 silver, mystic coin, jug karma and a random black lion item. Wow, that seems like rather a big loss but that’s the attractiveness of coming online and populating a game that needs active numbers to drive sales.

What happened to update while playing ...

GW2 has never had that…
I think perhaps you’ve confused this with another game?

I think he meant GW1 which did updates and map downloads while you were playing. I suppose it’s not possible now because GW2 isn’t completely instanced like GW1 was. But yeah if that could be implemented again it would be awesome. On my current connection at home, because it’s shared bandwidth it took me 7hrs to download the 1gb of files.

Didn’t help that I left it on when I went to work expecting it to be done, but because they added another patch in between, the update stalled and I had to start it over when I came home. And spent my time waiting (well at least I got in a few TV shows, chatted with family and etc) but still, big update chunks not good for people on slower connections especially when we’re trying to catch up on daily achievements.

My Sylvari Necromancer Arieon Ashleaf.

Started out as my 2nd char but ended up being relatively fun to play since he does pretty well as a midliner.

In Vigil light armor transmuted onto AC armor. I left the AC mask since it looks rather cool under his shroom hair compared to the Vigil headband.

[Suggestion] One currency for dungeon armor/weapons

But in reverse people would run the easiest dungeon to get the armor from the hardest. And the tendency is to run the easiest dungeon for everything they need dungeon-wise.

Sounds like the same for one of the skill points near the Ascalonian Catacombs. Can’t get to the top of the stairs before all the mobs respawn behind me. Stuck between a room with Ascalonian Healers and a staircase with warriors, archers and mages isn’t fun.

20 slot bags no money to be made.

Well, if you’re doing anything other than dungeons, you actually shouldn’t needing 20 slot bags since you can stash materials with one click and porting back to a bank/buying the banker item from the TP isn’t the toughest thing in the world. But if you’re in a dungeon without the bank/merchant item then you’d definitely be wanting bigger bags for all the loot you might pick up over a 2 hour run.
