Honestly Reaper is an amazing improvement, I don’t know what everyone is going on about. Reaper is lots of fun to play, do I think its the most damaging class in the game? No. But it works just fine. Did you guys even bother swapping out of that Cel gear? Put in some Scholar runes, equip an ascended gs? I can’t wait for launch.
I mean we can hit 100% crit in reaper form no problem, we can stay in reaper form for a long time, and when ya have to drop out ya just spam shouts auto attack couple times and your back to full and in reaper in no time at all.
I’m very pleased with reaper, by far my favorite elite. I’m swapping to main my necro in HoT. But I do have two change I’d like to suggest. The first is a graphical one. In my opinion one of the biggest issues Necro suffers, is despite having a pretty good amount of team support now, only none of them are easy to see. Reaper is already getting labeled as the most selfish class in the expansion. Even the new projectile destruction is very easy to miss. So please Add some kind of clear visual to necro support. Every one can see when a guardian puts up a reflect wall, party/raid members need to see what their Necro has done for them.
Finally combo finishers and fields. Necro’s are still lacking in the comboing area, a blast finisher on a shout would be very helpful to solving this problem. I’d suggest “suffer” as a good candidate. But anything that would let necros contribute more in the comboing system would be very useful.

Breaking the meta away from zerker, is such a game changer, I’ll believe it when I see it. As is this spec only really does one thing, heal like crazy. I seriously doubt this will be remarkably popular come the beta weekend, when ranger need 3 mins to kill something the other classes drop in 30 secs. Conceptually a support roll is fine, but this is pigeon holing. There isn’t wiggle room or really any decent synergy. This may play great with the raids, but I’m fairly sure many in the player base will want nothing at all to do with this.
Pretty sure everything I have to say has already been said, but I feel compelled to echo the events need to be designed in such a way that the most efficient thing to do is that thing you want players to do. I feel sure the Dev do not want player jumping from a spawn to spawn, ever 40ish secs b/c getting bronze contribution and moving on is most efficient reward method.
The events themselves aren’t compelling, an intro letter and spam npc in LA, isn’t sufficient story, Silver waste works because it has story woven into it. This just feel disconnected, and with high grind intensive without reason. As we get more and more players returning and more and more new F2P accounts becoming active, we need events that encourage conversation, lend themselves well to good leadership.
To call the zone chat in event zone as unpleasant is something of understatement. It doesn’t put ether the game or the communities best foot forward. Go back s1 stuff if need be, but use the great experience executed in the past to shape the events of the future.
Test servers and shards exist for a reason, if this event had been test last weekend so many of this event issues could have been avoided. I don’t know how this stuff got through whatever internal testing system you guys use but this never should have gone live as it did.
Uniqueness each of the three zones should have had a different feel, with different things at risk. Rewards should also be more useful. New players aren’t going to get much use out the current vendor, adding exotic sets maybe the guild weapons sets for example could go a long way to helping new players.
I super enjoyed the reaper changes!
It’s so much fun, and such a huge improvement over the last weekend.
