You are entirely correct, Leo. The problem isn’t that some got better stuff than others, the problem is that so many did the event over and over and never got to the chest, because of death or lag, or dc. Actually, the better stuff was too much better. As a level 80 who has played regularly since beta, and done my share of grinding, I only have acquired 3 gold. I don’t think I will ever see the kind of gold needed for better gear.
I’ve played since the beta weekends, extremely casually and I made more than 3g without grinding a few days after hitting 80…wtf have you been doing? O.o
2 months of cursed shore farming, I’ve never had a single exotic drop for me and have made ~150 gold.
I spend 5 hours with bugs and boots today to get kicked at the boss, get nothing.
Similar person who woke up much earlier gets hundreds of gold in precursors.Totally makes sense.
That’s for you sir
Just like the people here got lucky.
Esrever, you’re not even worth arguing and quite frankly I can hear feel my brain cells committing suicide one by one with every word of your post I try and read.
Um…they’ve already said they were doing that. Working on a way to compensate players who dc, got booted, lagged, etc and couldnt finish.

Seems a lot of people are in the same boat as me then, also Kita, count your guild lucky, one of my guilds is caught in a massive rage war over this, half feel cheated and furious, demanding stuff etc. While the other half rile them up by rubbing their luck in.
Anyone remember Mad King’s Tower? Everyone had the same hard work cut out for them, but oh guess what, when you finished it, at last, you never felt cheated, because everyone got the same level/worth of loot, this should have been the same, with everyone getting a set criteria.
Actually I DID get a precursor out that chest.
Amodin, they’re working on compensating those who got booted or dc that participated.
Messing up the market? By adding more of the item to the market, thus lowering the price and making them more easily obtainable? Tell me who doesn’t know anything about economics again?
Please, cite your source that you know the drop rate was 25%. Because I know of only three people that got them and that was over the span of doing ALL my characters. Either cite a source stating the drop rate or stop pulling numbers out of thin air
Akasuki really likes kittens
Leo if that were the case then wouldnt you have that same bitter taste over people who managed to get a precursor ANYWHERE? It’s not like they were handed out like candy, and even if they were the price on them won’t stay that high. Basically what you’re saying is in fact that you’re envious someone else got lucky. If I went out right now, killed a zombie in Orr, and got Dusk, would you have that bitter taste because you went out, killed a zombie in Orr, and got a grey item?
Grind it out and hope it drops.
Not quite sure how taking your gold and making you start from level 1 is in ANY way relevant to someone getting an item that is an ingredient in a legendary.
Also, I don’t really care if people got them or not. I did the event on 5 different characters and none of them got a precursor. Still not envious of people who were lucky. Good on them for getting lucky, I’ll get there someday and maybe I’ll get lucky or maybe I’ll have to work. I don’t know and that’s the fun part.
ITT: Someone is angry someone else got lucky with rolls…that’s how RNG works…
Invite me please. Arklain is the name
Angelus, try not running with the zerg in WvW, you’ll have a lot more fun. WvW is a step up from GvG (Which was impossible to get into unless you played GW2 for a while ago) simply because everyone took it so serious and it was drama and elitist. Take a keep, fly your guild’s banner. Show guild/realm pride period.
That isn’t what he said at all, but I can understand reading comprehension might be hard for you. The people who always complain about the lack of GVG in a game called Guild Wars know nothing about the lore because the GUILD WARS happened long before the first game even happened. It had nothing to do with the players at all.
The might on the skill seems to be working just fine, except when I’m using Juggernaut. I’ll have my perma 7 stacks of might with Jugger, then chug an elixir B and get no more stacks.
Then your tests are stupid, seeing as how I can toss it on myself right now and gain only one of the buffs. This is sad to me seeing as how it worked as the tooltip stated in the BWE early on. I even built my entire setup around it keeping my boons up 24/7 in pvp and now I can’t because of the tooltip being wrong. It always gives ONE buff out of the list, if you’re getting some other buff from it other than the one its from traits or something else nearby.
