Hi!
Pretty much just as the title says. Whenever I cmd-tab (alt-tab) and come back to the game I get these giant ribbons of random color that move around violently across my screen. I’ve attached a few screenshots for reference.
I pretty much agree with everyone in this thread and am posting just to draw more attention to it. The armor mixing and matching is the main thing keeping me coming back to Guild Wars 2. With dye channels and mixing alone I’ve spent hours in the wardrobe. Every time an outfit comes out, I get seriously disappointed because it is a beautiful cosmetic addition to the game, but in a format that doesn’t encourage any creativity or flexibility. Even though so many of the armor pieces are human culturally themed (and subsequently one of the reasons I only play humans), components of them could more fittingly be used on other races if they were armor sets—that would incentivize buying them even more. The armor components that they do release now seem to cater mostly to heavy classes, but also contribute in reducing the aesthetic variety you’re exposed to in the game because they are cross race, profession (armor rating), and gender. Arguably, shouldn’t looking unique be a priority of a roleplaying game?
The new data-mined Anise outfit has to be the biggest disappointment to me if it becomes an outfit. I’ve been anticipating its release since before the game even had beta events. It was showcased as an armor set in multiple blog posts prior to the game’s launch. On top of that, each piece is simple enough to have huge mixing and matching potential and beautiful / detailed / unique enough to use as a complete set. I seriously hope it doesn’t become released as an outfit, even if that means delaying when it is released.
I was switching back and forth between the two and settled for this, but thank you for letting me know! (: I’ll remake this in GW2 Discussions then.
Hey everyone! I’m not entirely sure this is the correct forum for specifically this development question (but it seemed most appropriate). Basically, as the title states, I’m curious about the process that GW2 designers & developers go through to design and implement armor sets in the game.
What programs are specifically used?
Are there any A-net supplied files associated with the programs (like character models) that can be used as bases to build off of?
Thanks a ton!
Same issue as everyone else! Submitted a ticket, and am installing Win7 with bootcamp now. I give up. :C
Unfortunately, none of those ones either, thank you for looking though! :C I was looking through the same set of videos actually. The song is more mild and staccato, and a little less cinematic sounding. It doesn’t really have a recognizable melody to it though—not a rendition of the GW2 theme.
I’ve been searching for a long time trying to find a piece that plays in Divinity’s Reach and Queensdale. It’s incredibly upbeat, the main instrument is a flute I think, and it has a baroque/classical mozartish feel. Can anyone help me it? D: Driving me crazy a bit. I’ve looked through a bunch of songs that were listed as being in the human area, and tried looking through the complete soundtrack as well. Thanks!
