I don’t know if this is a problem or not buy I wanted to ask.

I have purchased the game and started to download. After 91% of thedownload is finished I tried to enter the game. It allowed me to choose a server. I picked a serve and pressed proceed. Suddenly game throw me back to Windows and opened installation agian. Now it started agian from 0% and I have around 41k more files to download.

Is this usual ?

I will try with ranger if not suits to me or If I feel I am underpowered I will try something else

Even watching videos about GW2 and trying to decide my main char’s profession is interesting and fun.

I will start playing today GW2 first time in my life.

I want to build a ranger. I read some topics about rangers. Can anyone tell me if a Ranger can find a place in a group for dungeons, raids or other group activities ?

I’m kinda scared to build a ranger and at the end realising low dps.

I am just downloading the game and probably start playing tomorrow. Before I play I searched reviews about the game, classes, professions etc.

I was really bored from WoW and ESO. Hopefully this game will be the medicine I was seeking.

I know you have answered the question that I will answer below 1000 times for other players but I really need to ask : Which profession I should choose ?

Ok I like to play stealthy and in most MMOs I loved assassin type chars which is equal to Thief profession in this game I guess. Also, I loved to play as a ranger, keeping the distance and shooting things.

But after I read some reviews about these classes most people complains about them. So please help me which one I should start with ? Thief or Ranger ?

In most of the MMOs dominancy of ranger is declining. For this game, as I read, Rangers lack of aoe dps and somehow not that good on also at single target ?

So I am willing to choose thief. What do you say ? and please help me to choose my race. I dunno if races has some advantages on certain professions…
