Cheers. I’d still say swords are pretty melee compared to say, staff or great sword which im used to playing.

Is there any up to date builds or tips for playing a Sword\Sword Mesmer? I’ve played PU and GS at range mostly, but wanted to try a more melee oriented mesmer. Is there anything like that? Maybe some toughness to go to last abit in melee range.

What am i looking for, Phantasm build? Shatter? Tried looking for an up to date debate about S\S but the last “guide” i found was a MSS one over a year ago.

So, no viable build at all? Hints at what to go for? I understand if the whole scepter is weak in PvE, but its not my main point, consider it more S\S and pistol, just like to have the scepter in my other set thats all.

Anything but sPvP probably. Mainly PvE\Dungeons and WvW i guess.

I’ve played alot of GS and Staff before and before the big update i was using a blackwater build with torch etc. I just wanted something new and never really tried a sword\sword build and i really like my scepter and pistol so i wanted to try and have them in there aswell.

Hey, im looking for a viable build using Sword\Sword, and where i can be flexible enough to use a Sc\P as my other weapon set, i like to use staff and Greatsword aswell, but prefer it if i could use Scepter\Pistol as my other set.

I read some older topics where it seems possible, but with the new trait system im having a hard time finding out exactly which ones i should save my points for.

Are these weapons viable for a dodgy melee type of lockdown or interupt build? Or is it pure power and clone building i should go for?

I found it right away, was expecting a second chest, like with this Karka Event. Funny thing is i almost forgot the chest at this place, since i couldn’t see it. It doesn’t look like a chest at all.

I’d love a Dagger for offhand, then it could be more like a Florentine type of duelist. :P

Mirror Images, Decoy and Blink. Swapping Blink for either Null Field or Feedback.

Played around with some Mantras, and they seem cool once you start to use em.

Only got Time Warp unlocked so far but im liking it. Id probably pick the Stealth Wall over Mass Invis if i had to choose a group stealth.

So glad i swapped over to Gandara this week (it was free for some reason) I’ll be there! Looking forward to find some awesome looking outfits on mesmers, and hopefully find some stuff i can strive for to get myself.

I want Pistol Mainhand so bad. I made a Thief using dual pistols, just cus i couldnt use it on my Mesmer. Eventually deleted the Thief cus it wasnt a Mesmer, and even with 2 guns couldnt replace the gameplay of a Mesmer.

I’d love to know this. Found a few random chests so far. Or are they linked to your character\account so you can only open them once?

Im all for events in other places then just LA. Makes ut go out and explore the wonderfull world you actually made. And we all know Santa is a Norn anyway.

I remember the devs saying back in the day that GW actually was an CORPG and not an MMO. So yes the Devs themselves did say it wasnt an MMO. Ofc this was years ago so no i dont have a link to the quote, but i still remember it to this day.

So you played all the way to 50 before you realised you didnt like norn? Woah… were you even playing the game? Anyway, with the personal story and stuff its gonna be hard to change race. Just level a new character with the race you actually want, and hope you can stick with it this time. ^^

I dont see how Gear Score would make this game better, i hate anything that has to do with Gear, DPS meters and Raid helpers. This game is about skill and how you use the few abilites you have in the right way. I dont see how Gear would have as big of an impact in end game as in other games. Last thing we need is a bunch of elitist telling people of for not having that extra 5 power on their gear.

Spent 2 hours with the event only to have the client crash, and now i cant come back in. Such a waste, i really really hope i can get back in time for the reward.

This is the only reason im still playing my Elementalist. I didnt like staff, unless i went fire or maybe water for support. I frikking love D\D in all its forms, but really like it in air, and i use earth for show.

Now, would i be viable only sticking to 2 elements, or am i kittening myself? I might actually reroll my Elem into a Necromancer if im hampering myself to much this way.

I read alot about attunment dancing in the Elementalist forums, and was hoping i could play some other way then just spamming attument swaps all the time.

Dual Pistol Thief and a Warrior.

Beeing a duelist id love to see “rapier” as a weapon choice. Or at least a one handed sword that had that style.
