Please add Foxfire Clusters, Blade Shards and Doubloons to Material Storage.
I love it when someone I’ve just killed talks smack. It makes my victory that much more satisfying to know how buttmad you are about it.
I will not be rolling a revenant when HoT goes live. I will instead spend as much time as possible in WvW and sPvP killing all the people learning how to play revenant.
I would probably go with what I have for my main: a charr engineer.
The sheer physical strength of the charr would go a long way to ensuring survival in the brutal world of Tyria, although I would likely spend most of my time building things and showing the Charr and Asura what can be done with the technology they have (i.e. ranged weapons that can shoot more than 50 feet, vehicles, etc).
Then I would work to get all the warriors of the various races to coordinate (seriously, if an epic final world boss can be defeated by 100 or so players with the pitifully short ranged weapons currently in the game, imagine what could be accomplished by several thousand soldiers with modern weaponry, possibly imbued with magic for those foes that are supposedly immune to physical damage).
Once the various issues with the world are sorted out (wiped out undead, dredge, centaurs, branded, etc), I would try to coordinate with others to rebuild Tyria and upgrade the infrastructure to be more in line with modern standards and try to usher in a golden age for Tyria.
Or the races could get bored and decide to start fighting each other since there aren’t external threats to unify them anymore, in which case I would build my own airship and head for parts unknown and explore the rest of the world.
I guess I am a combat engineer back in the military again welp
Oh man, if GW2 was suddenly real life…
The first thing that comes to mind is that I’d finally be able to stop being single :P
Of course you would probably end up in a relationship with a guy dressed as woman and pretending to be a woman.
I would camp the trading post guy laying in wait for anyone who studied economy and thinks he can suddenly make bank for real now and show them the disadvantage of investment strategies compared to GREATSWORD TO THE FACE.
Abaddon had no statues nor high priests for over a thousand years prior to Zhaitan’s rise so it had no strategic point in comparison to the other temples. There was just no interest in the temple that couldn’t be found elsewhere in Orr. It was also hidden, sunken, and sealed. Per the story, Zhaitan’s minions only recently went into the temple to take some simple magical artifacts for the Mouth to consume (which they do just before we show up). So the risen have just been taking their time systematically consuming the magical artifacts (via Mouth of Zhaitan) throughout Orr – and Orr’s not exactly small or lacking in magical artifacts, nor are they restricted to Orr with such, nor were they in a hurry – Elder Dragons function on a different timescale than mortals thus are very leisurely in comparison.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
What you DO:
Get DOWNED people up (which should be fast if zerk is playing compact and balanced)
What you DO NOT DO:
Rezz DEAD people. The time they need to respawn and get back in the fray almost equals the time needed for them to be rezzed.
In this case, it is DPS minus 1 player…
If you do rezz them, it is DPS minus 2 players. (the dead player and you rezzing instead of attacking)
Furthermore, there is a strategy to prevent dying underneath Tequila’s feet..it involves the players :
1. Dodge the waves
2. have CC removal (for fear)
And ALSO turreteers, which main tasks are:
1. Use turret skill 2 to lower tequila’s scales (PRIORITY ONE! )
2. Use Turret skill 3 on zerk(s) when AOE fields appear on them
3. Use Turret skill 4 & 5 to provide boons , both offensive as defensive
4. In between turret skill 1 to do just damage
What would marriage grant you?
- Additional 10-slot bank tab shared between two players. There could be some sort of progression system that would allow players to upgrade it to a 20-slot one.
- 10% faster revival of your loved one.
- 25% magic find buff when doing activities together/being nearby eachother.
- Ability to send as many messages/letters to your loved one as you like, without worrying about the capacity of your/their mailbox. (Unlimited messages)
- 5% cheaper Gem Store gifts if exchanged between those players.
- Some kind of title. (“Bound”, “Taken”, “Happy Ever After”)
How would “marriage” be useful?
It would allow players to share account-bound items through the additional bank tab I’ve mentioned above. Things such as ascended materials needed for crafting would hold a higher value. I’m pretty sure that most of you have like 20 stacks of bloodstone dust sitting in your bank. I personally have 79 bloodstone bricks I will probably never use.
(Unless you’ll add some sort of amazing “build your own bloodstone house” feature. <3)
What would be the requirements?
A special ring bought in the gem store or acquired through map completion, or by other means. It would give people a reason not only to explore more, but to do it together. Perhaps after clicking it, it could give both players an ascended ring with the stats they choose. I personally like this idea.
Also it would be neat if there could be some sort of ceremony which would include a short cutscene of both characters holding hands or something. (Imagine all of the romantic screenies)
What if something bad happens?
Upon ending the marriage, all account-bound items would go to their respective owners. Maybe except materials that were used in crafting. That seems a bit impossible to fix.
Is it unfair to other players?
Maybe. I’m not sure. To me it seems like addition that isn’t too game-breaking and certainly isn’t “pay to win”.
No, this doesn’t have to be a “marriage”, but something similar. Like “BFFs” or whatever translates the best into the GW2 universe. I mostly just want to be able to do more things with ascended materials, and marriage seems like a win win. Add some sort of house additions and we have a much improved roleplaying game.
What do you guys think?
