An arenanet employee near a door told me they are not supposed to be neverending after I asked him, so yep, stay away.
I found an arenanet player in game near one of the doors and he said they arent supposed to be neverending, so stay away from them for the time being I guess.
It really that happen and I wasnt the one that did it either. Lion’s Arch had a good laugh at that. But nopppp, one person took offense to some people in the internet finding the name of the videogame world he plays at funny, gotta call the moralpolice, no fun allowed here.

Tbh, while Yaks Bend was winning, most of the rallying calls in map chat were something like: “Yak’s Bend sounds stupid, you dont wanna be beaten by stupid right?” So YB, you got your world’s name to blame.

- You are a commander for your guild, they will follow you
- You are NOT a commander for your world, you shouldnt expect people to follow you just because you bought the book.
- Block the people harrassing you and report them if its worth reporting, easy.
Are they randomly harrassing you or are you barking orders and then getting kitteny when no one listens to you? I’ve yet to see random hate towards commanders, but I’ve seen hate for random players barking orders and insulting people that dont follow them, if that random is a commander then that just gives their victims more ammo.
I havent really seen that many complains against NSP, what I’ve seen was A LOT of mockery.
I find this amusing after what happened in the ET vs IoJ vs SoS match. Also reporting for exploiting does nothing. I got the official response it was a “valid tactic” and not a violation. You’ll probably get the same answer.
I hope their take on wasting supply is not ‘valid tactic’, because WvW is not Eve, it does not have the scope to withstand much of these types of sabotage. Wake up, Anet! WvW is a big part of your game, stop dismissing it as ‘casual’ or ‘unbalanced by design’ or whatever.
If this spreads it could easily make things very unfun for players, and if it’s not fun, it will stop being so popular. Trust me, you don’t want that. WvW is what will keep bringing many of us back to your game long after the rest has gone stale as week old bread.
They were reporting ET players for recruitting in their mapchat and for telling them to stop exploiting the trebuchets in “safe spots”, which are now confirmed to be an exploit by a red. So report away.
So now that the newmatchups have happened, how badly is night capping wrecking your server?

Imagine how fun it was for Kaineng and DR to fight NSP… srsly, how did they get that low in the first place?

People are not saying that you shouldnt do it or are mad at you for doing it, they are just saying to not pretend in the forums thats not happening when it has been since forever.
It’s a bad concept implemented halfkitten 100s of games have gotten it wrong when it comes to PvP MMOs, it’s easy to yap yap about being all that and a bag of chips, but when it comes down to making a good structured PvP game, you gotta step away from the office chair and be a true gamer… Not a lonewolf crafting harvesting loner who loves his graphics and the fluff…
Shame on Anet, worst PvP MMO I’ve seen in years, if not ever.

Its to avoid harrassment, which we’ve already seen directed at guilds. Player names would be even worse.
3 people failed to kill a guardian with double the rally HP debuff that was getting hit by random mobs while fighting them? Sounds like the issue was them being bad more than anything.

I wasnt talking about Kaineng, I was talking about certain worlds that’ve been spamming this forums with hardcore QQ. Do I really need a /sarcasm? It was prettykittenobvious, specially if you’ve seen this spam threads.
A simple fix would be for orbs to not give buffs to the enemy if they capture it, but just deny the buffs to the world that loses it.
but but, wheres the step where you rage at your enemies in the forums and refuse to queue then rage at people that tell you to keep trying because you got the numbers?!?! /sarcasm

Its a player issue, the only thing Arenanet can do is close transfers to the worlds with stupid queues.
Keep it classy, Kaineng. Singling out a server over what a minute portion does just makes our server look bad. With free transfers it could just be some mutt that flipped over for a map clear from some long queue server.

Tbh, the fact that NSP, a high pop world, is facing Kaineng and DR is an insult to them already.
They’ve been doing that back when we were facing Fergusson and Borlis pass too.

My personal stance on this is we should just let this thread slide into oblivion. Stop posting in it. Lock it. ET is winning the war and RUIN is just one cog in their war machine. SoS should stop wasting time really push back in a coordinated effort instead of giving up. Use this opportunity to learn how to push back when you are facing unprecedented adversity. SoS is not fifth on the WvW rankings because we are good, it’s because we’ve never faced a strong enemy until today.
This so much, honestly, most of the posts from SoS here are extremely immature and give an extremely bad image to your world and to some even worse than RUIN’s reputation, since most of their explanations make sense while SoS only replies to them with insults.
You see them in game doing all this “bad stuff”, we dont and we dont care, but we see what happens in the forum and all this is pathetic and childish.
Depending on my gear my ele can crack 1,000+ healing power.
I have no issues farming events, always get gold, and the only time I lose out on badges is when I forget to loot them.
You’re probably doing it wrong and sitting in water thinking you’re helping with your Mist hot.
On the contrary, I think that “you’re probably doing it wrong” if you’re sitting at 1000+ healing and you’re wasting GCD’s in PvP on weak spam damage to get kill credits instead of using those valuable GCD’s on healing, preventing damage, crowd control, or buffing.
Now, if you’re going for a hybrid DPS/Support build then carry on. This thread is about dedicated support builds.

Some low/instant queue worlds would actually welcome more people. Kaineng for example, needs all the people it can get to fight against NSP.
It doesnt work like that for the defenses of the current tower/keep, so its still an issue.
Its a heart reward in timbermaw falls if I’m not mistaken. Mesmers opening portals in WvW are fine.
I dont really know why Kaineng is labeled as a medium world when it feels like a low pop one, in WvW AND PvE.
Someone needs to tell that to Devona’s Rest, they avoid NSP like the plague while taking Kaineng’s territory.
I dont really see it as negative publicity, since RUIN’s explanations are logical while the replies they get are “wah wah cheaters” w/o addressing any of their points
This same issue exists with several US servers which are home to many Australian, oceanic, and Asian players.
It’s a shame that WvW wasn’t designed around 6 hour matches.
Actually, the oceanic world is getting crushed by normal worlds.
