downstates can also get boons, resistance too. someone told me downs cant get boons from allies, dunno whether thats true. but at least runes seem to still work (rnd durability-proc). fact is they get boons.

big epis are still possible but like Threather.9354 wrote theyre " barely […] reliable damage". epi becomes more and more luckdependant which feels bad.

for poisonapplication you can use sigil of doom (dmgloss vs utility), corrupt regen which many builds have, staff 3, rs4 and there are other choices i forgot for sure^^.

after hot hit u dont want to poison ur enemy though and slowly whittle them down (well there are exceptions – e.g. ghosthief ) with the dmg and resistance/condiremoval (bersi with cleansing ire for example) hot brought us. bursting in between is the way to go imo.
sure its still usefull and you can negate cleanses but it lost impact compared to prehot.
plus the attrition type is condi i guess, so poison doesn’t fit that much to power necro; admittedly condi bursts too^^.

about the minions i dunno, they feel unrewarding in general^^.

though i like the idea of more interactions with condis/necro-only special condistuff.
putrid defense is the only minion-gm-trait in the “minion-traitline” so it will probably stay. i mistook putrid defense for death nova …
unholy sanctuary could be replaced, its useless in todays gameplay and was severely lacking even prehot.
i would also gladly give deathly chill for sth else.
-> im not into pve, mainly wvw and a bit of spvp.
in bigger groupfights deathly chill is mostly only applicable via direct chill application (skills), corrupts and frost aura (from eles).
—> too many fields, its rare to combo with your own or other ppls ice field, so no rs5+4 or frost aura via leap for you (at least in public groups and zergs).
therefore from my wvw-perspective i would gladly give deathly chill in its current form for sth else, preferably necroonly like some interaction with corrupts.

edit: quickly thought example: after applying chill to an enemy that enemy cannot gain more than 3 boons within the next 3 seconds. (situational usefull)
10s cd/target to prevent it from being op in wvw (cd “on” target, not per necromancer and target).
(without poison since i dont see it as very useful anymore).

hey,

i feel that pulmonary impact in its current form is too strong/rewards headshotspam vs certain classes. as proven by many other threads a lot of players agree.

so here is my suggestion:
let it work similar to powerblock, i.e. it only works on interrupted skills that have a cooldown.

that way u can at least autoattack him and are not that much of a sitting duck anymore (especially on necro^^).

what do you think?

Nothing has been proven in other threads as to whether it PI to powerful. People have just expressed opinions on their matter which is different than proof. Spamming a headshot does lss overall damage then spamming an unload or spamming a shadowshot or spamming ones AA especaiily if one factors in the fact that not all those headshots will interrupt in order to get that interrupt applied one has to get past an extra boon called stability which something lie Shadwoshot, Unload or an AA attack does not have to concern itself with this.

The damage is fine. The skill is fine. By design the thief was made so that they can use the same skill several times in a row. That is what makes them dangerous and that also has downsides that can be seen as a weakness.

if you are interested in a serious discussion about this matter please read other users input properly. if u happen to be unable to comprehend the context thats another matter

1 or two other thieves helping out? How is that different then trying to cleanse conditions when there two enemy rotating their Condi bombs or different then two warriors Stun locking you?

If you want to argue a given skill too powerful, you can not usee the context of being outnumbered by two or more of an enemy using said skill because were this the case there a whole lot of things that could be deemed OP.

so in essence you say i shouldn’t expect to win bc outnumbered, sounds fair.
but thing is: it is and should be possible to win outnumbered as a decent player vs scrubs. i realize that hardcounters exist. pi is such a hardcounter for certain classes.

issue is: pi is overperforming by far in relation to skill and investment required.
should it be possible for 2 – 3 guys completely rendering an enemy useless and killing him fast by using 1 skill each and autoattacking? the enemy can either dance/run/jump/sleep etc. or try to play the game and die even faster.

so in short and especially for you, babazhook.6805: i do not think that pi is OP, i do in fact think it is overperforming in relation to the skill and investment required.

try waiting for wasted ini when he got 1 till 2 other pi-thieves taking turns headshotting and AAing you. besides unless u have pulsing stab he will just steal it …

i think in general a pure power build is stronger than a hybrid one bc of dmgmultiplicators. pure condi doesnt rly have them imo but it has the hated double defensive stat option (at least in wvw).

so its a lack of synergy.

you realize that stuff like rune of durability with its passive contributes to the lag too?

i think they mentioned some years ago there are too many passives ig causing lag.

hey,

i just was in a match when i noticed i had the wrong build (yeah, my fault), so i attempted to switch chars.
“match in process”, okay i thought they changed it. wanted to come back with old char (with wrong build), same message. so my team is left with 4vs5.

pls for the sake of god make it possible to come back with the “right char”.

edit: addition: some instances of niflhel are bugged, game crashes for some ppl, myself included, when either loading in map or out of. dont have the ips unfortunately but it happens for quite a few ppl.

exactly this.
i regularly try condinec in zergs and regularly end up going power when things go rough.
WHEN we roflstomp them and run quite some condis we can kill them even faster with powerbuilds cuz they suck, simple as that.

so what if the enemy stacks condi? get some revs and push them hard, they dont have a directdmgbomb to prevent it. light field + whirl is ur friend.
they can corruptbomb a few of you to remove boons (resistance) and get very low condistacks. if you fail to keep cleansing the group at an adequate rate they even get 10+ stacks via other attacks.
now luck kicks in when trying to hit epidemic:
– target cleansed just before epi hits?
- random dodge?
- blinded? (epi wont hit, a lava font will still be placed;))
- target goes down just before epi hits?
- target dies just before epi hits?
- obstructed maybe?
- (nonluck: u cant just place it on the ground and keep running, need to be in range)
sooo u managed to epi those stacks. what now?
right! the majority of them still has resistance, u can only strip a few ppl. “team condi” gets heavy dmg now and can be trained.

u can spice up ur comp once u reach blobsize to epi the condis applied by directdmgbuilds, this can have a bigger impact than a 15th powernec.
i played condinec as kind of a delayed/second bomb since many cleanses are bound to heals that get spammed when the primary bomb hits plus i can epi some downs.

there are ways to increase the chance of epi hitting. but dont powercomps also have their own tactis?

hitting epi during purge spike means a huge burst, if their revs are competent they give resistance and have probably already activated dwarf elite while engaging. so u get 1 – 2 ticks in at most.
the burst this way is higher on single targets than the regular wells/staff ele hits.
over time/bomb condi deals a lot less dmg.
a lucky epidemic can help create downs.

@op: u think epi is unfair? then tell me how is this fair? my gunflame can be unblockable too. i need to build glassier than condinec but on the other hand my dmg comes way faster, more reliable, …
(pls note: i did not have high might stacks, target did not have vuln on them, i didnt even have all dmgmodifiers and best food …)

edit: why stack 4-5 condinecs when 2 riflewarrs get the job done too? (less condipressure which btw is applied by powernecs too [condipressure is not just about dmg] in exchange for quite sure spamable kills)

hey, today (before the patch on 08.02.17 18:25 utc) i encountered a bug with the necromancer skills [signet of spite] and [plague signet]. afterwards i asked another player about it and he told me he encountered it some time before too so its nothing new i guess.

what happened?
i had both signet of spite and plague signet equipped, at one point when i casted [signet of spite] it would also activate [plague signet], additionaly the later would go on the exact same cd like [signet of spite], 60s cd without trait, 48s cd with trait (signets of suffering).
the trait “plague sending” didnt affect the bug either.

after the bug appeared once it persisted and i played a bit with it.
once both signets were on cd i equipped plague signet in a different slot and suddenly had 2x plague signet in my utility slots. i didnt check whether it would corrupt 2×2 boons with “signets of suffering”. when i activated one both would go on cd so technically i probably still had 1 equipped and 1 empty slot i guess.

if u come across this bug just flip ur utilities a bit between the slots/change utlities and it will disappear.

the bug is low priority i feel.

attached is a screen of the double plague signet.

edit: the bugs persist after todays patch.

nonetheless most guild teams are rather bad i feel, higher divisions are no exception (see pic attached^^). nonguild-premades are dangerous.

independent of time of day i keep getting very laggy games since yesterday in the evening.
40 ping in hotm, 300 till 400 in some games with spikes of 1k, even 3k are possible. 1 game with 3 dcs …

a) its not continuous, some games are super smooth other laggy as hell. reconnecting my router doesnt solve the issue plus
b) others have the same issues according to teamchat

edit: the lags started on 19.05.16 in the evening

Hey,

what do u think of the following suggestion:
every respawning guard drains some supply from their related objective (except camps), if the objective has no mats, no guards will respawn.
so effectively u can dran supply by killing guards. i thought of amounts like 5 – 10 per guard.
maybe the guards outside the keep dont need (as much) sups (cause the drain at keeps could be too high).

roamers would be more important and consecutively scouts to conter them
a) in draining mats
b) if guards dont respawn soloroamer could use some new sneaky positions

Hey,

i think the trait Assassins Annihilation is bugged.

it doesn’t seem to work at all in pve for me and another guy i talked with. he told me though it works for him in pvp on the dummies (dunno when he tested it, might be it worked in the recent past).

i dont see anything related to this trait neither on screen (like numbers or sudden changes in health bars) nor in the combat log.

i noticed it on november 4th in the evening.
tested it on the dummies in pvp just now (05/06.11 midnight) and it doesnt work there too for me.

Can u confirm this observation?

so. noticed the same issue, he thinks its just not shown in the combat log (ger forum)

it might be that it’s not a problem with the skill itself. during the last days it occured to me in champfights that random attacks “miss” as u say. i cast them, they should hit (no reflect etc.) but i don’t get any numbers.
can’t exactly tell u which attacks though, was on mesmer in eotm.
