I don’t know of any 1 button to kill yourself, but every skill you use takes a little bit of your life force to use, so spamming those skills would make you kill yourself faster at least.

Question for ANet about Legendary Weapons

The last time I had read something about this, it was Anet’s stance that any kind of transmuting would change the weapon’s status to exotic from legendary. So if ascended weapons became a thing, yes, your weapon would not increase in stats.

Mesmer or Guardian?

From your post, it looks like this is a choice of looks, of which mesmer and guardian are two classes that I think look the best. I think it all comes down to if you prefer light blue or purple better.

Odd Race/Profession Combinations

I have been playing the game for a while and I noticed a trend of what race makes what class and so on. Charr is most often a Warrior. But the thing I want to know, is what Profession the Charr(or other races) are most often not. For me, Charr mesmer is a pretty rare sight.

So guys, what race/profession is the strangest combination and why? Let me know down below!

In Mount Maelstrom, other than the big event chain around crucible of eternity, there are several “Keepers of ____” that you can fight. They respawn fairly quickly too.

Oh, you're an Ele? go away.

Several people up here have stated what I believe is the Ele’s problem in dungeons. Warrior’s especially are a very forgiving class. Having the highest HP pool and the highest armor class lets them if they happen to do something foolish. Ele’s on the other hand sit on the other end of the spectrum. And when you run with a PUG, nobody has any idea of the skill you may have with your class. Some people just decide to go with warriors because they believe they will survive even if the other people are idiots. So don’t be discouraged if someone turns you down because you’re an ele. That person is probably not too confident in his team’s ability to begin with.

What race do you think suits an ele the most?

In case all the others weren’t enough support, roll whichever one has animations or aesthetics that you enjoy. I tried human first and just couldn’t get into it. But I tried a pipsqueak Asuran, and I feel like I’m a bullet whizzing by my enemy. Granted, the smaller the race the slower their arm motions go(warrior greatsword was killing me), but it is very forgivable with a casting class.

If you staunchly want to pick a race suited to the elements and lore is an important aspect to you, skip the Charr and the Norn. Charr are the geniuses that create things WITHOUT trying to rely on magic. This is opposed to the Asuran who use magic in everything they do. Then you have the Norn. They are a little too focused on the battle and the brawling in my opinion but an argument could be made for a shamn type of Norn. Next you have Humans. They pray to the gods for things. I’m quite sure they are willing to pray to the elements for help, especially if the elements respond quicker. Sylvari are new and young and very curious about the world. This screams magic to me. I think it is because as a kid you were open to more possibilities and the Sylvari represent that part of my life very well. And we have the Asura who in my opinion have the greatest lore based qualifications.

I forget where I read this but if you transmute your legendary to an exotic, you will lose its ability to move up to ascended stats.

Sylvari and food

Just in case everyone wants to know, the amount of energy that movement takes is tremendous compared to the daily requirements that a plant would have to spend to stay put. However, by becoming a plant people, they need far more energy than photosynthesis can create. Therefore, they need food just as the rest of society would need to. I know it is a fantasy game and fantasy mechanics, but I believe this idea would make the most sense.

Charr, the second smartest race?

If I recall, I believe one of the Asurans said that the order of IQ went Asura, Sylvari, Charr, Human, Norn. I believe they gave the Sylvari a slight edge because as a new race, the Sylvari are quite curious and the fact that all knowledge that one Sylvari learns can be transferred to the Pale Tree to help the next generation of Sylvari the Pale Tree produces could be a powerful force. The Charr obviously come next because of their wonderful structures and raw inventive power, even if it is almost solely for war purposes and lack a magical element. Humans come next. They aren’t quite as inventive as the Charr but they are still miles ahead of the Norn when it comes to sophistication of their buildings. Norn come in last and this is not really a shock to anyone. Granted, these were just my opinions as to why I think the Asurans would say this, though I believe I agree with them.

Reasons you like your Asura

I cannot say that I am a complete fan of the Asura. When I first saw them, I thought they looked similar to the house elves from the Harry Potter movies. That being said, I have grown to appreciate them more and more. For starters, their movement is fantastic! Not only are the animations of jumping and dodging hilarious to watch, but because of their size, they appear to be moving much faster.

Plus I just love the witty banter that Asura have.

Manual or automatic?

My thoughts on the Elementalist so far(I’ve only done minor leveling, some SPvP, and even less WvW) is that the Elementalist is your average spellcaster or Wizard. Granted, I am most definitely not referring to the glass cannon that most every game has made this into this archetype. When I read about wizards in books they seemed to have a spell for just about every occasion. The fact that Guild Wars brought this back is not surprising, though I really do enjoy it.

Sylvari Physiology

Just so everyone understands, photosynthesis does not directly provide energy for cells. All that it provides is a food source for plants to convert into energy through, you guessed it, cellular respiration. For me, I think that lungs would be necessary for a mobile plant such as the Sylvari. Much more oxygen would have to be taken in to support all the physical functions that the Sylvari perform. That being said, I believe they also need mouths and a digestive system similar to humans as well. I imagine they would have died out long ago if they could only use photosynthesis as a food source.
