easy to answer actually (at least for zerg fights)…
Berserker brings much more to the table than vanilla warrior. Your burst skill is suddenly useful again since the stun from the normal Hammer F1 wont matter since the stability changes. The Beserk Mode Hammer F1 gives you an aoe root and still has a daze in case someone doenst have stability. You also gain more dmg for free from the beserker traitline. You still can take discipline and defense as a berserker so you dont loose much from taking beserker.
in case of roaming… beserker is mostly better than the other traitlines since most of the beserk mode burst skills are much better then the normal ones (especially greatsword for example)
The tooltip for Arc Divider says the range is 150.
But it actually hits at up to 450 range…
no tooltip states 450….
Nice fights trying the build atm and having quite a lot of fun with it^^
what food are you using for roaming?
Hi all,
I have been roaming with my warrior since some time now using the well known axe/sh+GS build. Now i want to try rifle over axe/sh but i am not quite sure what i should change.
I thought about using something like this: Rifle+GS Build1
reasoning behind the changes:
- Signet of Might for unblockable Gun Flame over Endure Pain since you can also kite a bit with the rifle (not sure here if it wouldnt be better to swap out Outrage)
- Cleansing Ire for more condi remove (since you lose two imob removes from axe f1 and shield 4 and it is a bit easier to land Gun Flame often)
- Dogged March over Shield Master for obvious reasons
- intelligence sigil for 100% crit gun flame. force for more dmg
now some things i am not sure about:
- is it worth to still use strength runes (since you lose the might stacking from shield master)?
- is cleansing ire a better choice than rousing resilience?
- if i should swap out strength runes what kind of buffood should i use?
-should i use other sigils for the rifle then intelligence/force?
hope some of you who tried roaming with this setup can give me some help
If you want to be useful in WvW/zerg then go for the Shout Frontliner:
http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Shouts_Frontliner
shout has been outdated for quite a while, you want berserker to be useful because of the stability changes the old hammerstun isnt worth it anymore.
i run a build like this (gear also included):
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQNBiYD7kKRoLEsKEwMEgTEsUFYK9gGXOAZx1ACAvj2W7sF-TFDEQB+TliHcQAAwRAweqrIFlYORZA82fIKKN6iSQAeBA+3DAoN6GIDQxYA-w
you should aim for 3k armor and 24-25k health… add more or take some away if you need it (or dont need it)
basic strategy:
-try to get full adrenaline before you engage so you can use berserker and instantly use you hammer f1 skill when your commander pushes into the enemy
-use stances when needed (pain can be a real live saver, same with your healing skill so dont waste them to early)
-banner should be used if you see some downies
-warhorn and sword for getting out of problems and for waterfield blast in your regroup
edit: runes can be durability, Hoelbrack or melandru… those are the best choices

nice vid, some awesome fights^^ would you mind sharing your build?
I’m using mace/torch sword/shield Berserker, Discipline and Strength. Full dire with krait runes and i was able to melt people really fast.
ah ok gotta try that aswell
did you run healing sig/3 stances/headbutt or did you use other utilities? and what berserker traits did you use?
My thoughts on berserker WvW roaming.
Pros:
- Condition berserker is really good, (it will be nerfed, sadly).
- Synergise really well with Rousing Resilience.Cons:
- Blood Reckoning is now more terrible, 25 sec cooldown is bad.
- Sundering Leap is really clunky.
- Rupturing Smash was good, now is terrible, 1 sec imob is almost nothing.
- Fatal Frenzy now has a THREE SECONDS SWIFTNESS, why? (maybe buff it to 10 sec).
- For most viable build, warrior still defends on discipline.Overall berserker is feeling really good, i hope it doesn’t get too many nerfs.
What builds were you running for condi berserker? I was trying defense/disc/bersk with mace+torch / sword+shield with perplexity runes. was quite fun^^
wow nice gameplay there^^
would you mind sharing your build?
this is what i have been running (for zerging in wvw) and i can only say it rocks^^ you have really good survivability 19k life (21,5k life with stacks), nearly 3,2k armor (through trait number 4 in valor), nearly 2k power with stacks and a good critdmg/critchance. 716 healing is also nice^^
depends on what you want to do:
if you want to stay ranged an deal damage and only get close when you have deathshroud up: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNBmODbkRrSPTTcjfThIV4agK4eRKKmhh6BAgOfIA-jkyAYLBZCCGZJQUB4sHR0aCEsNUENWtNmyFQFvoapAsaZE-w
the equipment can be changed but you should try to keep 2,6k armor, 30% critchance and about 20k health, with this you wont instantly die if you get hit and you will have 100% critchance for 5 sec when in deathshroud (20% from fury+50% from deathly perception). A good tactic is to drop your wells and then switch to deathshroud. The first trait in the soul reaping tree is variable depending on what you prefere.
for melee you can use the same trait setup but you should try to reach about 3k armor
hope this can help you

I’m currently trying to build a guard that can be used for zerg v zerg/smallscale/solo and thats what i came up with:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fUAQJARWlUgqCnFyMEf4ERWBRi9AjZsjXPoYCZIA-j0xAo/ARMCEBBJ5XEN2qWR0YV1ER1KbMpAMXZE-w
you have 3k armor (nearly 3,2k with the 160 thoughness from strength in numbers) 19,5k health, 31% critchance, 90% critdmg, 3,1k power with bloodlust and above 700 healing power
In our Guild we have some Necromancers that run with Condition builds (and i run it on my twink). Your aim is to get as much condition damage as possible since you conditions wont last long.
You have some free trait points but the basic build looks like this:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNAW7IjMaZ6db8bJApCXH9Y4iDG-j0BBoOCy0Cwk0BKHqIasVTFRjVJjIqWpETIgFrBA-w
From there on you can take what you prefer. I personally went 20 into Soul Reaping for longer Fears and 10 into Spite for Condition remove on kill. (wich leads to 50% condition duration with food and 100% fear duration which is especially nice with the spectral wall)
But you can also got 20 into Death Magic for unblockable marks and 20 into Blood Magic for the healing traits/well cooldown reduction.
30 into Soul Reaping for stability/50% increased crit chance are also a viable option.
Condition necros in zergs become more useful the longer the fight continues. In the first few seconds you wont deal as much damage as a power necro but once they have spent most of their condition remove your damage will outperform the power spec.
One of my guilds necros calculated that you will already outperform a power necro if your bleeds can tick at least 2 times, but i dont have the formulas at hand for that.
As for gear, you can combine dire and rabid gear. Runes should be undead or scavenger since they provide the best boost to you condition damage. Sigil should be bursting on both staff and scepter and minor corruption on your offhand. Once you reach 25 stacks (remember it stacks while you are in deathshroud/plague if you had your s/d equipped when you changed forms) you can take another sigil (i took earth).
I hope that this can help you.
@ Rozbuska
What Trait setup are you using for that?
Shouts heal up to 5 people, and if you use soldier runes (wich you should use with this build) ist also removes 1 condition for each shout
I’m running with one of those builds for grp/zerg pvp:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNBiYDbkzJ5t5x4hJOggeohZBXoKYHpHiBbkGA-j0yAYLBZiCEZBg+An9KiGbltIasaHMVZSVnRW5C4NY0qFCo8WA-w
If this doesn’t have enough survivability (or too much)for you, just change some armor pieces for knights/berserkers or trinkets for knights.
with this build you have 3 roots (sword autoatk.3, hammer 3 and sword burst), 3 stuns/kds (hammer 4&5+hammer burst), 4x condi remove with the shouts and the warhorn, 2x (3x in the 2nd one) stability and still some decent dmg
Nice gameplay, after watching it I’m starting to reconsider about giving my necro a condition spec once he hits 80^^
What Accs are you using? also Pow/Tou/Vit or different ones?
