For a GS/LB build:
Str: 20, V and IX
Arms: 20, VI and X
Def: 20, II and VIII
Disc: 10, V
This is what I have run and I can take on anything without a problem. Unless that is a Champion or more than 3 players. Then it gets hard haha. I have always run this build, feel free to add your own skills. I usually use For Great Justice, Endure Pain, (third utility is really up to you, sometime I use Stomp, whatever I feel like.), and Signet of Rage or Hounds of Balthazar from human racial skills.
I just transferred from Northern Shivepeaks to Sanctum of Rall. There wasn’t a huge population that was available on NSP so I came to SoR.
I’m looking for a guild that runs dungeons quite frequently, as well WvW, and sPvP. I do enjoy leveling characters, but the fun is where the dungeons and WvW is at.
I don’t enjoy guilds with a lot of rules. I can be hardcore or casual depending on the guild. I’m a laid back college student who just wants to have fun and play the game without having to worry about what I say. I’m also on Eastern Standard Time.
To precede all of this: I have played a Warrior since beta and launch. I’m always a Warrior though. I was in GW1 and almost every other MMO. With that noted, I love my Warrior for PvE. I will get into PvP later.
The Warrior is supposed to be able to overcome all challenges with just his weapon and his armor. They have the highest amount of HP in the game and since they wear heavy armor the Warrior and Guardian have the most armor. I use this to my advantage by using Power, Vitality, and Toughness armor (PVT). I always use it since it allows for me to be the most versatile and reactive for the group.
My track record with dungeons goes as follows: For mobs, I am always the last one to go down no matter what. For bosses, I’m usually tanking the boss, whether it is with my GS, Sword & Board, Mace & Shield, Hammer, Axe & Shield. I usually use a Longbow as a back up for the 2 handed weapons, but not always.
As for leveling, I knew that I always used Power, Percision, and Toughness. It gave me enough armor to mitigate most damage. This allowed me to pull a large group of mobs and take them all down at once. It made leveling a bit more challenging and intense which kept it fun. Taking on 7 mobs at a time instead of 2 or 3 and coming close to death is much more fun. Another benefit for the Warrior in general and for leveling is that they have the most weapon customization and builds to create. It always kept it fresh and fun. Being able to start over with something totally new and change your play-style was what kept me interested.
sPvP and WvW are a whole different animal and you can read more about those on previous posts made about them.
I won’t tell you what builds I run because you get to experiment with that yourself and to me that was the mokittenn.
I hope this helps and good luck!

I’m about in the same situation as you, but I have a guild on Northern Shiverpeaks called Valor and Glory [VG]. If you are interested we run all of those things, we are very laid back and fun and mature. If you are interested, reply here or message me in game at Atrix The Brave.
Hey everyone,
Valor and Glory is a new guild just starting out. We are looking for more active players who just enjoy playing Guild Wars 2 and want to group with other players to have some fun and accomplish things you may not otherwise be able to do by yourself.
We are very laid back and mature, it is a casual guild. It is a small guild and looking to only grow to about medium size. Large guilds get to crazy with too many people being lost in translation and never getting the help they need.
All I ask of you is to just play Guild Wars 2. The influence will start to pour in. Once we have that influence the guild will grow to whatever yours needs are. A guild is meant to serve the people that are in it, not to serve the guild.
We (The co-leader, Kuri Salmalin, and I, Atrix The Brave,) usually play around 8-12am est when we can, we are both college students so sometimes we don’t get to play as much as we would like. We run anything from Dungeons to Map completion to Meta events like the Maw in Frostgorge Sound. I’m looking to get into sPvP a bit more since I haven’t done PvP since Guild Wars 1.
We have VoIP or a Voice Client that you can use to talk to fellow guildmates instead of typing (who would want to type when you can just talk). It is Teamspeak 3 and we have a server. More info about that in game.
-Small to Medium Guild
-New guild looking for members to help it grow and create a strong foundation
-Fun, laid back, and Mature
-Play time 8-12am est and anytime on the weekends
-PvE and PvP, (would love WvWvW, but my comp can only handle small battles)
-Always ready to help anyone with questions or actual events (seriously though, we can help you anywhere when we are on. Any map is fun at anytime)
-I have a very extensive knowledge of the game and the previous game Guild Wars 1
Reply to the thread or pm in game. The name is Atrix The Brave.
We look forward to making memories and having fun! For Valor and Glory!
If you’d like my guild is just starting out, but we have 2 80’s running dungeons and events every night, as much as we can. Have a soon to be 80 on the way. If you want to help us grow and reap the benefits, by all means contact me in game. The name is Atrix The Brave and the guild name is Valor and Glory.
The Greatsword skill Rush seems to not work with Large Units. For example in the Cursed Shore the Veteran and Champion Giants Rush will only rush at him it will never use the final strike. The Warrior doesn’t even attempt to swing just runs then stops. Huge bug that can easily get you killed.

I run a GS/LB Warrior and I have 20/20/15/0/15 and I have no problems in PvE. I can actually accomplish anything I like besides actual [Group] Events.
1st 20- Damage % increase based on adrenaline levels and Increase GS Damage 10%.
2nd 20- +40 Precision per Signet and Forceful GS (crits grant might and GS skills CD reduced 20%).
3rd 15- Turtles Defense (Taken for the Health Regeneration based on adrenaline levels).
4th 0- Nothing good can come from this.
5th 15- Crit % increase based on adrenaline levels and for -5 seconds on Weapon Swap.
Right now I don’t even have full exotics, just running full Vigil Armor and I can go to any level PvE zone and own. My Jewelry is PPT with PPT sockets, my GS is actually PVT just like the vigil armor, Ghastly Greastsword from AC actually.
Skill wise I usually run For Great Justice, Endure Pain, (Insert Skill here) and Signet of Rage. For Healing I use Healing Signet for the constant regen ticks, I haven’t really thought of using a different heal skills because with the two regen ticks from the skill itself and the trait line regen from adrenaline levels it allows me to tank more damage because of the increased armor while above 90% health passive trait in the 3rd trait line. For Great Justice allows me to go over 50% crit a lot of the time and gives me a power boost. I usually use Signet of Rage and FGJ at the same time as much as I can to pump out around (In a level 80 area Cursed Shore for example 10-14k on Hundred Blades) every 6 seconds along with the other skills.
I can take on anywhere from 5-20+ enemies (hit Endure Pain then Signet of Rage, FGJ and then Hundred Blades, anything left standing Whirlwind through them and they are dead).
I can usually take on 9 enemies without having to touch Endure Pain. I rarely have to use Endure Pain, it is more of a fail safe in case I run into a WHOLE LOT of enemies that would bring down a super tank spec’d warrior.
Also eat your omnomberry pie and you are unstoppable. Just my experiences with my Warrior. This build can also apply to Dungeons, with some variations based on the Dungeon is how I run my Warrior.
I plan on sticking with Power, Vitality, and Toughness. It has really made the game more enjoyable actually making you feel like a hero, someone who is truly extraordinary, compared to the Glass Cannons.
If anyone tries it out, let me know how you like it!
