That’s… interesting. But good to know. Thanks!
Hi, I made a new alt recently and in the character creation, I gave his armor a mix of blue and white dyes. As far as I remember, normally equipping a new piece of armor would make the armor inherit the dye scheme of the previous piece. But when I equip new armor on him, it all defaults to a “Dye Remover” brownish color.
I don’t know if it happens on my 80s because they don’t exactly get new armor, but it seems a little too strange to be intentional.
I’m not 100% on the set but I just hit 80 last night and like it a lot.
The goggles are Eagle-Eye Goggles, something engineers can pick at character creation (yay wardrobe).
In regards to Mordremoth knowing that Zhaitan is dead, even if he didn’t discern that info from Scarlet’s mind (or someone else’s), I have a hard time imagining that one of the most ancient, primal forces of the planet working in tandem with the others (obviously the dragons don’t like each other, but it seems like they’d rather eat magic and go back to sleep) wouldn’t notice it when one of those forces is completely destroyed.
I think Aerin (whatever that sylvari guy’s name was in the Dry Top story) also was ‘talking’ with Mordremoth. I figure it’s not a real conversation so much as the dragon’s influence hitting them, their commands hitting the sylvaris’ minds, like Old Gods I guess. If Zhaitan can see through his corrupted servants, Mord probably can too.
The Marionette battle.
I’m really casual and unlike the 3-headed jungle wurm which was practically impossible without a buttload of coordination, the marionette was possible to do, didn’t have ridiculously difficult mechanics, and had great music.
The Scarlet fight was cool too, but was a little too long and obnoxious for me (which I guess is alright, given that it was kinda the ‘last boss’ of S1).
I liked it but yeah it was a pretty pointless system. In the end you could totally game it and change your meters as much as you wanted with the 3 NPCs in southeast Cursed Shore anyway.
nvm found it. kitten .
Change is real weird tho.

What Would Your Character Have Said to Jory?

Charr Warrior: “I don’t really care, but I think I’m gonna go … clean some of those drill parts out of Lion’s Arch. Yeah. Clean. For Iron Legion.”
This wouldn’t bother me so much if the pet AI wasn’t so stupid and wild.
I usually tote around a sylvan hound for the heal. When I put it on passive, which is something I do very often, there’s a 90% chance that I’ll notice within the next 2 minutes that it’s out in combat anyway. I don’t tell it to attack and its heal spell doesn’t initiate combat.
Pets are annoying but an understandable part of the class…. my problem is that they seem absolutely uncontrollable unless you’re looking at what they’re doing constantly, even if it’s on passive.
I just realized I had it. I tried to join a Manor story group on an alt and got removed moments after.
There should be an option to accept or decline someone who’s trying to join. As nice as it sounds to force myself into groups, it feels a little rude, and if the party just doesn’t want my class then there’s nothing I can do about that.
I think it would be nice to have an option to advertise ourselves, not a party. Like, I still need to do Arah story on my main, I’d like to just put myself up on a list with a little description. Something short like, “Unfamiliar, but I know how to not stand in bad stuff”, or nothing at all. A party leader could browse through the list and pick out people.
I understand if they don’t want a queue system, but it definitely needs improvements.
Yesterday I played just fine, like most people who seem to be having this issue. Now I’m trying to play with my friend but after downloading the little patch, my connection to the game and GW2 servers seems to have tanked. The site and launcher are also slow to load, along with lag spikes ingame, but my connection elsewhere is normal.
After the new build a few minutes ago everything worked fine for a little while, then I lagged out again, and did a pathping to Tarnished Coast.
