Ye the mobs are easy, was more refering to the bosses but I guess it’s just a matter of dodging at the right times

This thread made my new level 80 necro a sad panda
I’m the kinda guy that enjoys WvW, PvP, PvE, and all aspects of the game but being say a power necro in Silverwastes seemed extremely hard. Wonder what one should reroll as :P

How exactly does the power necro play out in PvP? Tried searching for something about it but no luck. Is it like a in, do dmg, get out kind of build or?

And is it Dagger main /warhorn off?
Thats what I am using with wells for leveling atm so any tips would be nice cause yes, I have noticed that if a team backs me up, I am kind of unstoppable as a terrormancer but if not then I get focusfired as soon as they see me

I am not 80 yet, still leveling my little necro just tried power instead of condition and holy crap in a crapper what a difference.

Anyways, how is it with necros and PvP?
What build would be good to use when I am not max level?
Or should I just leave the PvP scene alone until I am 80 and live with the fact that my gear is not up to date to everyone else’s?

Havn’t tried WvW yet so this is only the small scale PvP I am talking about so any tips at all that you can give me would be highly appriciated

Played some more last night and clearing hearts was really fast as condi! Hitting up single target mobs on the other hand did take some time but I guess I cant be good at both

Ye think I’ll stick to the necro tbh, love they way the feel and since I can do PvE with my guild I dont think it will be a problem, home to try out Condition again

Question is if they are fun aswell? Maybe I’ll level the ranger to max level to just see the game and then level the necro.

Hmm how are the rangers in PvP then and WvW? I solo alot and I mean alot, sometimes I will do dungeons with my mates but mostly solo and map completion and some pug pvp from time to time and WvW aswell. Maybe I have picked the wrng class anyways?

Well it was between my necro and my Ranger tbh but they ranger seems even more useless in PvE then the necro does and the ele or mesmer is not something that interests me at all tbh So I went with the necro

That kinda sucks but I have alot of friends who I play with and hopefully they can take me along and I do enjoy the PvP scene alot aswell

I have not played with minions alot but from what I can tell they engage a few seconds after you yourself have engaged the mob atleast that’s what happened to me last night so I decided to play without them instead :P

Interesting, have to check that out! Thanks alot for the tips, going to try some more conditionmancer when I get home, just felt that single target was abit slow but maybe I’ll get used to it or just have to tag some more mobs

Basicly what I do now, think ill try condition again but rebind my keys, completely forgot about that so when putting down curses it became a hassle lol

Hmm maybe Ill try that, what minions were you using then? And I am guessing you also used epidemic so thats one less minion?

Tried some condi last night and it was fun when the mobs were grouped up. For single target it kinda sucked.
Then tried minions but they just seem to stand still for me =/
After a while I just equipped dagger/warhorn and used wells for aoe and that was fast all round but abit more squishy

I am very new to the game, played a warrior during the summer, got him to level 15 and quest. Now I am back and playing my necro and my ranger both level 17.

Question is regarding the necro when it comes to leveling. All I can find are old and outdated guides. To keep it short:

I am looking for a fun build I can start using now and that would still be viable in dungeons and in pvp aswell (if there is one)

Right now I am using dagger/focus and a staff for offhand and its working okey I guess but feels like I go down quite quickly compared to my little ranger.

Just looking for any kinds of tips you can give me tbh. And I have tred searching but I might just be bad at searching cause I havnt found any new info about leveling.
