Guild Wars 2

More often than not I try and get a Queue when I try and WvW with my guild events. It is really annoying when I queue and people who queue way after me, get into WvW before me. Even though we queue from the same place, outside of LA. Is there any logic at all to the Queue system, because usually a queue means some sort of order. People queuing after me should NOT get in before me ! Really frustrating, happens nearly all the time. Currently in Q for 40 mins and at least 10 people in my guild have gotten in who have queued in the last 5 to 15 mins. I have tried relogging and re-queuing on different occasions, staying in Q without doing anything but nothing seems to work.

5 Zerg Warriors with Frenzy
4 Zerg Warriors + 1 Zerg Thief
4 Zerg Warriors + 1 DPS Guardian
4 Zerg Warriors + 1 Mesmer
3 Zerg Warriors + 2 Mesmers

What is the best combination now I wonder ?

I now always use Longbow and Sword/Axe. And I throw in Fear me for the adds for this fight, although always careful not to fear the boss.

My memory seriously sucks, getting old! I cant remember which paths Ive done and havnt done now lol

lol I didnt even know that fire-elemental had a chest until I saw this post. I see a chest for every other event just not fire elemental. First time I done this I also followed the crowd to an empty spot in the room where lo and behold the (F) Loot option appeared. I just thought there wasnt a chest here until I saw this post

Yesterday I ran Fractals level 18, 28 and 38 again. As always better loot the lower the level. Lvl 38 I got 2 rares, 1 of them a spine back junk piece. Level 28 I got 4 rares and 1 Core. Level 18 I got 1 exotic, 4 rares, 1 Onyx Loadstone and 1 Core.

Why why why do I keep doing anything other than level 18 ? :P

More and more people are confirming this too, I think Im just gonna leave Fractals aside for the time being. Its just not worth the time and effort now to do them, and end up with so little to no reward on the higher level ones compared to the lower ones.

I regularly do FoTM with a static group and we have all managed to get to around Level 42. We often do levels 18, 28 and 38 and 42 for the Dailies, for several weeks now. Myself and the other 4 I run with have noticed we seem to get 95% of the time alot better loot and more rares the lower the level of FoTM that we do. Our droprate and loot from levels 38-42 is incredibly poor nearly all the time compared to our level 18-28 runs. I know the loot is random but its been like this for all of us nearly all the time. Is this just a mere coincidence out of all the runs everyone does in the game or do any other people seem to notice this too ? Very curious. Thanks.

I know theres alot of discussion about the prices of precursors recently, especially Dusk, which Im trying to save for myself as I have the rest of the T6 mats.

Ive been watching the prices on the TP the last few days again.

3 days ago it was kinda staying around 700g.
2 days ago it went down to 670g, between 7-11 available.
This morning it went down to 650g then down to 600g, 10 available.
2 hours ago they were all back upto 680g, 7 available.
10 minutes ago all 7 are 780g.

I totally agree. All I am lacking now is my precursor, I am farming and playing 8-10 hours a day but the price increase each day is more than I can make each day. And those that already have their legendaries and precursors congratz but Im sure you didnt have the issue of precursors rising each day like this though, beyond the scope of anyone without a huuuge stash of gold. People are buying them just to put up for more now. Dusk was 640g 4 days ago, 700g yesterday and today its 770g.

Okay, thanks for your replies I dont mind if it does get reduced or not but wouldnt like to spend the 250 ectos to have it reduced a week or two later in the next update

The last couple of days I have heard plenty of people saying that the amount of Ectos needed for upgrading your Backpiece each time is being reduced from 250 to 50. So instead of needing 500 you would only need 100 in total to upgrade your Fractal Backpiece to the maximum, aka the glowing one.

I am almost at the point of having enough Fractal Tokens and Ectos to do this, probrably in the next day or two after putting in a ton of hours and effort, same as a couple of friends. It was rumored the cost will be reduced in a couple of weeks which means if this is true I would rather hold of until then because I would waste a hell of a lot of my time and money otherwise. Plus I am in need of 250 more ectos now for my Legendary which is almost farmed, just saving for the precursor now and a handful more T6 mats.

I would really, really be grateful if anyone could confirm if the cost is being reduced and any ETA if this is true. As I said I would be very sad if this happened without much warning.

By the way Im on Desolation EU Server, which is a heavy populated server on Peak Times.

I have been getting the same issue more and more recently. I am pretty certain that it is something Server Side though. Because it only seems to hit me at peak times. I think it may have something to do with the Login Server, because if Im not mistaken this is a separate server to the game itself ?

If I am logged in all night without changing character or anything then Im fine and have no problems usually. But if I am kicked, loose con, change character or anything that requires me to go via the Login Screen then it seems to happen during these peak hours. After a while it sorts itself out, could be minutes or could be hours. Sometimes Ive been unable to chat except for /say for ages and cant invite people to groups or nothing. If Im invited people see me enter the party but I dont see it on my screen, then a while later it shows me in the party. And when Im having this problem I get spammed with the “Unable to access the Login Server” message.

As I said I really dont think it is anything on our side, maybe just a heavy load on the Login Server during peak hours or something.

Yay! 3rd time in a row I got screwed over for our guilds WvW Evening. 2 hours in the Q and I never got in and gave up. But what annoys me the most is hearing almost every other guildy eventually getting in, even though they Queued AFTER me, some for like 5-10 mins.

So Im in the Q for an hour…someone comes along and queues and gets in 5 mins later…Im still queuing…20 mins later another guildy starts queuing and gets in 10 mins later…30 mins later Im STILL queuing and this goes on and on every single night Ive been trying now. Gonna give up on it all until/ IF they ever fix it I guess. Shame, the game is obviously broken and Anet arnt even acknowledging it.

When A-Net eventually find the problem and fix it, maybe they should reset the WvW rankings again, coz utill they do fix it the scores are meaningless in my opinion. Hardly a fair score when some servers are having to fight outmanned all the time because of a dumb bug. I know they wont and Im not totally serious but I do think the scores arnt gonna reflect Jack S*** because of this mess!!

A few points from the replies so far…

1) Myself or my guild never transferred to this server, we have been here since the beginning.

2) A few people have suggested transfering to a lower populated server. Well what if this problem wasnt fixed and the majority of us who cannot get in because of the queues transfered to a lower populated server along with everyone else from other servers with similar problems. The new servers we goto could then have a larger influx of players because of this and make the same problem there, causing these queues for this new server. So potentially we could bunny hop servers and end up reversing the problems to these new servers with them going from lower populated ones to over populated hour long queue servers. So without a solution I dont think this is viable. And as Skinnyb mentioned.. “You can’t just take high tier players and tactics down to a low tier server. You end up steamrolling every map and it ruins the fun for everyone.”

3) Porky bought up the problem about not knowing how long the queue is, you could be sitting there for 5 mins or 5 hours and not know when your going to get in. I like his idea about some kind of indicator or timer to let you know how long the queue may be. Not sure if this is possible but it may be quite helpfu.

4) Lastly, from our last WvW event I do actually remember something now about one of out party members remaining on the map even though he went offline quite some time ago. His party dot was on the keep waypoint throughout the event until we reformed our party at least. So perhaps the WvW is bugged and is unintentionally keeping players inside WvW even though they have left or gone offline. Of course if this is happening and until it’s fixed we should all try and leave WvW altogether when we finish/logoff etc to make space for others if possible instead of logging off inside.

Well either that or give up playing all together until the fix it I guess…..

The Queues for WvW are really getting too much, I really hope Arena Net has something in the pipeline for expanding the space allocated inside WvW sometime soon, because it is really ruining the experience of Guild Wars 2 for alot of people. Having to Queue for 1 to 2 hours to get into WvW is really not fun, and its beginning to spoil the great success so far of the game.

Tonight on server reset our guild were preparing to enter and fight it out in the new WvW Rankings. However we had to cancel the event yet again due to only 1 member of the guild getting in, out of 28 of us! Yes just 1 ! And this isnt the first time, in fact for the last couple of months now it has been getting worse with us all sitting around doing nothing for upto 2 hours before we can get in. And when we do eventually get in, we get in at different staggered times so the event is pretty much ruined with no co-ordination or anything possible.

We post-poned the event for 12 hours until the following morning, when we are able to get in. But even so, most of us are unable to play at this off-peak time and even then its not as much fun because theres not many other people about, mostly randoms and such.

It would be great if the WvW space allocations were improved somewhat so the majority of those of us who want to play, actually can at these peak times, not just a small minority. The importance of events such as these reset ones and other peak times where organised guilds can play can greatly effect the outcome of the weeks score.

Oh if only!! I have thought about this, and its pretty much almost at the top of my wish list atm !!
