Guild Wars 2

I’ve been opening them on a level 55 toon but some people told me to start opening them on a 45 toon, for that I’d have to delete my 55 toon which I spent a total makeover for. But people can’t seem to tell me the difference between a toon’s loot at 45 and 55.
Q: Is opening them @ a 45 toon really much better?

not with Hobbs, but I guess I’ll try tomorrow since you can only loot SB once a day.

They keep giving us these worthless trophies for collections and I thought it was one of them, turns out I needed to put it to rest on Grenth’s statue.
Will I be able to get it on tomorrow’s SB chest? or do I have to send a ticket?

well its not really like an advertised trade. its just my friend(cousin) asked me for some gold and i said sure send me ectos in gw1. and she said we could make an exchange, its not like im making a market our of it.

no theres no other .dat and i actually searched for any “gw2” “guild wars 2” “guild wars” file and nothing except the guild wars 2 folder and my copy of guild wars 1.

I patched it and now it works fine. So for those having the same problem just patch the 17k file and you’re good.

Make sure the gw2.exe you start is the same one that is located in the folder
where your gw2.dat is located.
Also don’t put games in general under the “program files” folder.

I did just that and still nothing happened… btw thanks for replying guys. ill just patch it and see what happens. Ill reply here if that fixed it for future players who might get the same problem.

Ok I just trued running it just now and it bumped up to 19k files seems like the 1.7k you mentioned just added to it wtf is happening.

Well they did push a patch out today. Are you in the Beta as mine only had 1700 files to download.

no I was not in the beta and its not just 1.7k for me its 17k…

I do start the app inside the folder where the .dat is also i deleted my old one when I copied my sister’s and my friend’s folder so theres no possibility of overlap. Here is the location of my gw2 folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2
i dont think im doing anything wrong thats why I started asking here in the forums hoping for somebody to know what the problem actually is

So today at morning I logged in with no problems, I got my daily chest run around the grove etc. but later on in the afternoon i tried to log in again and there was a 17 thousand file patch so i proceeded patching until my sister told me there wasnt any patch today and she logged in just fine. So i decided to delete my folder and copy my sister’s gw2 folder (thats what we did when our friend bought an account and it went flawless) but even after i copied her file when i ran it there it is again the 17k file patch, I tried restarting, repairing gw2, and after it didnt work I copied my friends file but to no avail. I just got a new copy from my friend and still like that. Can anyone help me please?

The farm where you throw maize balm to ambients, Ive tried it for some days last month and Im disappointed that this is still going on. Ive seen below 1k ap players doing it and after talking to them for a while (were in a party) i found out thats what they do all day and they are legit new players. I mean the gold is great yeah but what happened to exploring the world? doing dungeons? learning the story? This game has so much to offer. I know some people from my country that does the farm and sell gold for real money…. wtf.
Anet once said that its simply supply and demand, well the “Trick or Treat Bags” are from Halloween event which is supposed to be a temporary event every november, so aren’t the bags the same? At least put a high cooldown on it.
