I’m pro norn – human relationships
Curious as to how plant people relate into physical prowess.
Yes, no? They seem like they are larger.
I enjoyed the gear progression in WoW. It made me feel like I am accomplishing something, like I was becoming superior.
Have a leveled 13 Ranger.
Really like the GS playstyle. Really dislike the Lowbow, Shortbow is cool. Axe I don’t like.
Is viable? GS?
There’s no benefit in joining a guild, in a game called a Guild Wars.
How ironic.
You guys are exaggerating the downsides, yes you had one or two guys that acted like they just wanted you to fail. But that generally doesn’t happen, especially not after a certain ilvl dungeons. You are all there with the same goal – beating the dungeon and getting loot. Being a kitten is detrimental to your own progress and gold.
Kick and move along, where the SYSTEM RE-QUEUES YOU INSTEAD OF YOU HAVING TO LEAVE AND FIND ANOTHER PERSON IN LIONS ARCH.
No one would rage quit cause no one would be waiting for a SPECIFIC ROLE to be fullfilled. No tank, no 10 min queue no derping.
Yeah. Yeah?
Bleh, terrible system. They completely destroyed server communities with it and now it’s spread like a disease throughout the whole game. They have the worst gaming community because of that awful system.
If you want to play WoW, go play WoW. This is GW2.
Quite frankly this is not true, I played WoW for 5 years and LFD was the best thing that ever happened to the game.
You want social? Go to SW, type in, ‘look, all im saying is that GW2 revolutionized the genre’. You’ll start a social discussion.
You can crack jokes with your guild mates.
Elitism existed way before LFD, sorry to burst your bubble.
Yes, any other answer is wrong.
GW2 does not have a Holy Trinity system. The biggest and only flaw with WoW’s LFG system was the queue times. DPS had queue times of 30+ minutes before they implemented dungeon satchels and got the queue times down to around 10 minutes.
The fact that GW2 can remove the Holy Trinity and not implement a LFG system that queues you, is simply ludicrous. There would be no queue times!!! Everyone would wait equally long, ergo the system should balance itself out. All Arenanet needs to do is make it so that you can’t be queued up with 4 other Warriors. It just needs to balance the classes per dungeon.
So… Why is one of the biggest selling points in GW2 not being utilized fully?
Guys if you don’t want bots to spam you with gold don’t have an alluring name.
Something like ê or ì or xarthasxasdl won’t get a lot of spam.
But lord, I name one character Lord Internet Swag and it’s like I’m a botmagnet.
That being said, more for me to report! Good job Anet. Whack away at dem moles brah!
Well, humans had the sharpest stick back then, mainly thanks to their gods. Since then kitten has hit the fan. Tigers got their act together and decimated 2 human kingdoms, nearly takin 3rd too, few new races popped up here and there with superior strength or intelligence and suddenly human stick were only of average sharpness.
Humans never were the most advanced race either. Dwarves had better craftmanship, asura brought superior ever evolving technology, charr started to evolve human and dwarven technology further….one could very well say that humans were pretty stagnant race happy with their gods, magic and the way things currently were.<edit> o_O kitten filter made my statement sound brutal….
lmao love that you used ‘tigers’ in your reply.
Well how did Humans have the sharpest stick due to their Gods? Is this portrayed in GW1? Cause I find it odd that Humans can spend a game and 3 expansions dominating a continent and then get overthrown.
But yah, your reply doesn’t make Humans sound very powerful at all. Like they’re a dying race destined to follow the footsteps of the Jotun.
Fascinating stuff
I could only get two crafts, so you can’t get all of them?
The Human lore must have been great due to the fact that they were the only playable race, dominating everything and everyone, no?
Think of it this way, if Tigers suddenly develop intelligence equal to ours – they’re still not going to be able to defeat us. They lack many factors, they don’t have 4000+ years of technology and craftsmanship behind them. Everything we have is designed for us.
It’s why all the races in these games are Humanoid – we simply can’t comprehend using equipment for any other form/shape.
Yet if we ran on all fours like Tigers for the last 4000 years we would have designed everything to revolve around that. Cars would look different, drive different.
I did not play GW1, inform me.
20 and already got wrinkles!
Only lvl 27 because I got irritated by my characters hairstyle and started over.
Everything is German.
Only this section, no other sections have this issue.
When I click General Discussion it takes me to a German page.
@RenRen, that looks fabulous! Especially with the glitter
And with the appropriate attire
Here is how he looks like Dorian Gray
Guardian here, I noticed you didn’t mention us in your OP. Then I realized we have no issues taking you down.
^_^
I modelled my Guardian after Dorian Gray.
I swear they have his exact face and hair style in the character creation screen.

I made my guardian tall – not max height, but close and lean. Not skinny, lean. He is tall, handsome and it really suits his voice.
Overly manly Norns with chests the size of small cars are soo overrated. Human males are not as bad, but still. Buff is so cliche, unless you’re being buff ironically or something.
My guardian was inspired when I saw Renth during the Human noble storyline. He was attractive, tall and lean.
Add Dorian Gray’s face and bam – you have the face to swoon over. A true Guardian, also a Thief – of womans hearts.
TL;DR buff is out, tall, dark and handsome is in.
Seen this mentioned on the forums, idk what it is though.
Lord Internet Swag
Option 1) Save the City Well
Option 2) Save Quinn
Uhm, okay? WTF is the Seraph and Thackery doing? Why can’t he save the city well while I save Quinn?
His apathy is the death of innocents, not my vendetta to save Quinn.
I agree, split PvP and PvE.
Well I played WoW for about 5 years and my focus was always PvE, I eventually managed to down DW on normal and Mor’Chok on heroic before the tryharding stopped. (google Unshackled, warrior on Mazrigos EU)
But GW2 is completely different and I haven’t even found a guild yet :|
You mention PvP, but tbh my focus is PvE. I’m already struggling to kill mobs vs when I was a lower level.
I have a lvl 27 Elementalist which I enjoy quite a lot. However I’ve heard terrible things about Elementalists and level 80, both PvE and PvP. This makes me want to reroll.
What is a viable class?
