It also got me thinking, what if there was a way to lock necros out of deathshroud? I think this is really interesting counter play!

You already can lock a necromancer out of death shroud. Its called Moa.

Good point! Give Moa to 2 more classes to make it even.

Give Moa to 3 more classes to be fair. Make it 900 range AoE with 20 sec cd. Moa would last 4/6 seconds. I think I’ve heard already of a similar skill out there. HoT is gonna be too cool and nice!

EDIT: Reveal skills will not only hit badly the only current decent, far from being OP, and only viable spec thief have in the current meta that is D/P, but will destroy also the sub par D/D thief, that has never saw the light since 3 years ago in any pvp team or environment but some sporadic wvw roamer nostalgic that still remember the old good days when revealed was non existent. Was at that point that the thief hate started on the forum.

Comparing moa form and reveal is one of the worst argument i have seen for while. Reveal dont lock your utilities and weapon skills, it just stop your camping in stealth for 6 seconds. While you are revealed, spam blind, shadowstep away etc. Lets give other classes so easy access to stealth and such powerful traitline around it with lack of counterplay without reveal

If steal could lock F skills then way to many things would have to be rebalanced with that in mind, including steal itself. So while the idea sound simple enough its pretty unrealistic and impractical to implement.

but it is realistic and balanced and practical to implement multiple skills that completely shut down thieves main offensive and defensive abilities? okkkkk

Stealth is best defensive mechanic in the game currently and needs reveal to be countered. Simple solution is add casting animation to reveal skills so you can dodge it, if you cant, you suffer.

Don’t make me laugh the last ones are all instant,1 random and more to come. Trolling the trolls.

I know reveals are instant, but BALANCED SOLUTION is to make these skills dodgeable = there is your counterplay to reveal.

Yeah, its very sad thiefs cant be anymore class with no counterplay. Year ago thieves can disengage with stealth any fight they wanted, they could reset fight with stealth whenever they wanted, they were allowed to stay invisible for 20 seconds and wait all cd’s recharged. Its not anymore possible and its very healthy change for pvp balance

By watching Scrapper yesterday, my first thought was…
*"They just made SneakyGyroF5 what “Sic em” should be for years, an AoE 900 range reveal!"

Sic em:

  • 2000 range
  • self reveal
  • can miss it if person goes in stealth before you trigger it or lose target
  • 40 sec CD (32 if traited)
  • reveals ONE (1) person for 6 Sec
  • 40% pet speed and dmg, (BM pets move 30% faster in default, so no change here)

Sneak Gyro: (two components)
- ELITE SKILL:

  • Applies AoE stealth to you and other allies nearby.(we dont know how many probably 5)
  • 30sec CD on reuse
    *30sec duration of 3sec intervals of 4 sec stealth (which gives you 34 sec of total stealth)

-ELITE GYRO F5:

  • Remove stealth from up to 5 enemies in a 900 range, no target required.
    Stealthed people are revealed for 6s.
  • 20 sec CD (untraited)

Now comparing this to sic em. Sneak Elite Gyro effect on F5 is alone already better then sic em for soooo much more! And delivers a lot more to the game play.

Some funny NOTES:

  • Rangers lost ground targeting trait because of guardians getting traps and in order to remove rent they decided to break one of most amazing mechanics of ranger that could throw traps if desired, thx to Dragon Hunger, we got this removed.
  • Spirits, no longer movable, just to make Scrapper Gyros more awesome, again nerf to ranger breaking the mechanics to make other elite specs look better.

What does other specializations do to make Druid better?
(so far Scrapper looks the most rushed, and least mechanics added to playstyle)

Yeah and gyros are better version of mesmer’s illusionary defender and illusionary warden + feedback utility skill. Thats what we have wanted for years aswell.

You dont have sustain but you have stealth + regen with stealth+ condi remove with stealth and best mobility in the game with decent damage. You cant have all =)

you forgot that our whole trait line is based on stealth…. i wish i had a 900 range, aoe spell on 20 sec CD that prevented mesmers from using shatter and creating clones for 6 sec

Yeah, while you lose your stealth for 6 seconds you still have blind spam, shadowsteps, steal interrupt through stability. Im sorry your glorious stealth got counter but you have still a lot defences and after 6 seconds you can disappear again +15 seconds and full reset the fight.

So what do you say is that out of stealth we can only blind or shadowstep away for surviving. Thanks for proving that we need stealth for setting up our attacks or it’s better to run away. The new DD specialization might come in hand but having again only 1 viable build to be on par with other classes when others have 2/3 viable choices is not what I call balance

I mean you have to kite or run when you are revealed, then just stealth and reset fight. Yeah, thief need some buffs but D/P thief is not one. That spec is OP if you dont have any counterplay against their stealth and Shadow Arts line.

Thief just got balanced to state of other classes. D/p thief was superior overpowered in 1v1 vs anything. Its fine now.

Just noticed this weird ground color bug. I have this same ground color bug in spvp and wvw (not looked Lion Arch etc, the whole area is colored like this. This bug is only with ground with grass.

I have 1 month old Asus rog matrix 7970 and all other games and areas of gw2 work fine (only grass is bugging probably). I dont think that is about my computer.
