Did you play at the servers prime-time? And did you check many areas or just the one you were currently in?
The game is far from dead.
Please don’t get me wrong as I am not trying to say that the sky is falling or anything but I couldn’t find anyone but that one guy. I went all over the place from the start areas to the high lvl ones and nothing…. Why is the server load listed as very high if there’s nobody there?
Just felt the need to ask this. I logged into Fergusons crossing after being away for a while and only found one person playing. I thought everyone might be doing RvR but much to my surprise there was nobody there either. My server selection screen said ‘very high’ but I can’t find anyone to play with. Anyone tell me what I am missing please?
Thanks for the replies there guys, much appreciated. I thought it must have been something like the buy low sell high thing but with this weeks new ‘catchword’. Oh and don’t worry Sky, I won’t undercut you.
The ‘flipping’ terminology has me a tad interested too, care to expand a little please Knuckle?
Hmmm. This game was never meant to be WoW or function the way that WoW does. I am glad about that. Healing and just about every other aspect of this game is different and again I am glad. I do share your concern over the loot thing and I hope some changes are made there too. It’s a free to play game so why not just hang around for the things that you do like and wait for some changes to be made? It sure beats having to play WoW or EQ2 or whatever and have to pay a sub. I hope you change your mind as it’s early days and things will improve.
What does it offer at endgame that isn’t a total grind fest exactly?
I will get it straight for you.
You clearly take it as a total grind fest because mainly you are grinding for something. You are never obligated to do so but you still keep doing it. I don’t feel like writing an essay to explain what the endgame offers. So, good luck. No, I played like the rest of you, enjoyed 1-80. it came around all too fast being an easy and pretty void of challenge to that point. like any other mmo levelling, although it was flashier and more immersive, I guess that’s what the kids like these days.
This may have a different approach to MMOs, but it is still marketed as an “MMO PERSISTANT WORLD EVERY CHANGING, CONSTANT THINGS TO DO” …. but those things to do are so minor compared to pretty much all the competition (in PvE at least).
All of you say you could write a really long list, all of you talking nonsense when simple bullet point format would do.
Prooblem is all you can do is make a small list look big like the stupid PR garbage they blurted out the other day “things to do at 80 – things you have already done now go through them with a fine tooth comb because there is literally nothing else other than token and materials.”
And you know full well that is the reality for PvE’rs.
I had to laugh at the “void of challenge” bit. If you want to be challenged then go to Uni or feed the starving or something. last time I checked this was a game and people came here to enjoy their travels and socialize. Void of challenge hehe, still chuckling here over that.
I think it’s time you took a break from games and got some sun or something. If people enjoy it they will play it and apparently the masses are doing just that. Just because this game isn’t the picture perfect image of what you wanted doesn’t make it bad. I’d step off the soap box if I were you and realize that hey! Guess what? You don’t speak for all of us…. Or more from what I’ve seen pretty much none of us.
Don’t pay Birdy any heed Renith as he has little clue and has been spouting negativity in pretty much every thread he has been in. He will toddle off and whine on some other forum soon enough and still wonder why he feels so rotten all the time.
Silly, dungeons are not suppose to be rewarding, they are suppose to be about the fun of mindlessly bashing near tacticless boss encounters offering nothing.
Guild Wars fans love the concept. didnt you know?
Indeed we do! There’s more to be said for explore and adventure than sitting in a queue with you waiting for easy shinnies a’la cartoon flavor.
The less than stellar pro-reviews have really targeted endgame being an issue

The game is not WoW. If it were I wouldn’t be playing it. I love this game for so many reasons it isn’t funny. The end game WoW kiddies can all go rot in their own game along with the kitten reviewers that wouldn’t know a good game if it slapped them in the face! Let them all roll pandas and then whine about how unsatisfied they are with everything I say. The less there are of them here the better.
Oh and when a company has to stop digital sales due to demand and server load it screams of goodness. Yeah yeah most MMO’s kick off this way I know; but this one, well I just got a feeling it might be around for a very long time.
Im pretty casual when it comes to gaming atm and im halfway to getting a full set within 2days..
omg what a grind.
Seriously, there is no such thing as a huge grind in gw2 atm.
GW2 is by far the easiest MMO to get top notch gear in, i really dont get how anyone can whine about this, and i bet 99% of the whiners could probably get the gear in the time they use to write these huge walls of text.
Must be awesome to be you? Care to share your wise leetness with the masses?
