Can’t agree more. I’m out too. I’ll be collecting my LS content upon release to hold it in hopes that the game improves.

I know it’s maybe a poor way to play, I only play on one character, and only have interest in my one class (Guardian) and virtually saw no change to anything beyond a few skills changes.. I’m unhappy that almost nothing was added to my experience other than that I need to get a lot more items to get more achievements, most of which my character doesn’t even use. I’ll likely not being playing anymore, beyond logging in to collect my LS content so if this game ever does improve, I won’t need to pay gems.

I agree that this fight was tedious, mainly due to “Another Mender is on the loose” being said over and over. But there is really no way for this fight to be called anywhere close to impossible. It might take a bit longer than you want, but if you’re downed, Rox instantly goes for the resurrection, which I really liked because it’s in here character to do so, not just a game mechanic. Also, this fight encourages you to have a friend, if you find soloing it too challenging. An MMO encourages players to play together?! My God, what a thought!

This should be the precedent for all future special events. Its spread out allowing everyone to participate. There are good gifts. All of the gem store stuff is cosmetic only, and you can acquire everything with in-game items that are easily obtainable. Wintersday=Win

Dude, i suck at jumping puzzles, you can even watch my youtube videos to verify this, but i could get both holiday events completed.

I loved this jumping puzzle, its challenging, but very doable.

My growing disappointment with this game came to a peak tonight when trying to play with some friends in open world PvE and we see that the Shadow Behemoth had just spawned. We rushed over to find that not only were there no players there to help us in combating the giant, but that we couldn’t target the portals OR the Shadow Behemoth itself. Seriously ANet, I know no one does open world pve since it has been completely destroyed by the introduction of the Fractals, but could you at least have it working properly? Thanks.

Here’s the dealio: I get why everyone is super upset, it was poor advertising, we get it. Are people honestly mad that they didn’t get a skin? Or are you mad that you wanted to cash in on a quick way to make a few gold in game? We all realize that the exchange rates aren’t the greatest on gems, and we all want those very valuable skins. I saw something that made me really sad earlier in this thread I believe, stating that a player just wants the gold so that he can get the best gear. Gear isn’t what this game is about, at least not on my server, its about being a community and having fun with each other. If you want the best armor, run dungeons with your friends, or don’t spend your money on silly items. I’ve never run into a group that gave me grief for my gear, I had run most of the dungeons before I even had level 80 armor, and I did well. Why? Because I took the time to find a build that I knew would work within a five man team and I make sure that group members know the role I’m going to play. They were completely correct in calling this a skill based game, not a gear based game. I’m really sorry for the lack of skins being produced from Black Lion’s Chests, but think about your motivations for why you’re mad, why do you want those skins so badly anyway? Are you actually going to keep the skin? Or are you going to sell it for a quick amount of gold just so you can get some better armor because you think that’s what makes the experience better. I wish you all the best and I’m sorry about any misfortune

Well, completed the first Act and had some keys leftover and played the weapon skin lottery lol. Got the dagger skin on my third chest. Called it a day after that. Thanks ANet!

Maybe it will come at the end of the event chain, but they should really announce that. Right now, even if they are trying to play the good guy, they are going to get a black eye. I imagine them as running a local business that relies on name and word of mouth the build business. They’ve angered enough people to where the long term costs are going to hurt them

Maybe they’re trying to get people to quit now so they can re-release the game with a better ending? :P

I wish they would make an official post regarding this issue. Even if it’s just telling us “Too Bad”

I’m a big fan of the one token for everyone. That way, the players who were in this particular event can commemorate them being there and makes us feel special, kinda like birthday presents in GW1. Make the items a testament to how long you’ve been dedicated to the game. If people want to sell that away, let them. People will keep buying the game further down the road, and the people that have been here since the start want that recognition. Great idea, OP

You are correct in assuming that a customer probably wouldn’t ask for his/her money back on a lottery ticket. However, this is a game that people spent up to $150.00 to get, not a five dollar piece of paper with some numbers printed on it. ANet claimed to be a visionary gaming company that would cater to the players that purchased the game. They come off as a customer service oriented company (don’t get me wrong, they do a great job of resolving technical issues) at first glance, but employ many of the tactics that an F2P game does.

I’ve spent $0 on keys, but I’m a tad disapointed that we’ve paid at the bare minimum $60.00 and nothing is guarenteed. One of the big things that I loved about GW1 were the Holiday events. This game is not F2P, I understand that the unique stuff is %100 optional, but obviously people want to get the cool stuff to commemorate that they were at the first GW2 Halloween. I don’t know a solution, but seeing people get this upset over something so trivial has clearly marked failure on making a successful and fun holiday event.
