You were right. Moving it to the top displayed the rest of the box. I didn’t even realize that it was cut off! Thanks so much for your help!
It’s been a while now, but I’d still like to thank all who tried to help me, or were able to help others with this issue. My fix for this was to use bootcamp to install Win 10 64 bit, and to install a Windows 64 bit copy of the game. Since then, no more false starts, or game crashing, period. Dual booting using bootcamp is easy as pie on a mac. I’d reccommend this to others that can’t quite get their game to run without false starting, or who’s games are constantly crashing at the WORST possible moments.
When creating a squad, I no longer have the option to choose any color tag that I want. I can still create a squad, but I no longer have the option to choose the color tag. I am just given green, each time. I’ve tried to repair my client, and changing every option back to default. None of this has helped. Each time I create a squad, my tag is green, with no option to change to red, blue, yellow, or indigo. I also cannot open up the squad option to turn off the tag. I actually have to open chat and type /squadleave to turn off my tag. I’ve asked for help in-game, and no one else seemed to know what to do. Everyone else was telling me that their squad comm tag color options were visable, and normal. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing (did) wrong please, and suggest to me how to fix this?
Thanks all!
I am having the same problem. My first step was to uninstall the game, and to do a fresh install. Afterwards, when starting the launcher, nothing happens. I’ve waited hours, and nothing. I’ve tried restarting, running first aid on drives, removing and reinstalling again, launcher still does nothing. I’ve not changed anything on my system. I was in a game, and it crashed, which it did frequently anyway. I tried to restart it, like always, and nothing happened. That’s when I began the first uninstall, and reinstall. Now I have a product that I’ve paid for, that does not work.

I’m just going to add my two cents here. My discussion will not be about the technical limitations of Mac hardware compared to PC’s, or visa-versa. I’m just commenting on the mac client of the game available now. I’m currently on an iMac, and running the beta version of GW2. The beta version client is the only available GW2 client available for OS X at the moment. Graphically, it’s beautiful, and the sound is top notch as well. The only problem I was having was constant crashing of the game, but only in highly populated, or high action circumstances. For example. I could go to any major city, speak with vendors, work on my professions and such for hours, and the game would run fine. But, when I was out doing a cf in The Silverwastes with a group, the game would crash at least once per a round for me. Or when I was doing the major events in The Silverwastes, on VW, I was guaranteed to crash at some point in the fight. Usually it was right at the end, and before I could get my loot. That also made me miss the train run on the other bosses right afterwards. I usually had to beg for someone to take me into a party, or just party up with me, so that I could at least get back to the same map afterwards, and at the minimum claim my loot from the initial fight. I have communicated with support over this issue, and I have to say that I honestly believe that they have tried their very best to help me. I am more than satisfied with both the quality of their suggestions to assist me, and in how quickly and professionally they addressed me in the first place. But the bottom line is that the current Mac client is just still too unstable at the moment. As I write this, I am now unable to even get into the game anymore with the Mac client. The game crashed on me once again, just yesterday, and I haven’t been able to get back into the game since. I’ve tried uninstalling, and reinstalling it (several times), to no avail. I’ve checked, and double checked my firewall, and security programs to be sure that the game has the correct permissions to push and receive online traffic. I’ve run first aid through the disk utility to be sure that my drives are ok. I’ve tried rebooting at several points of uninstalling, and reinstalling. But nothing is working. I can install the game, but when I try to start it, absolutely nothing happens. When looking under force quit, it shows that GW2 is running, and that’s all that I see of it. There is no window of the actual game that I can change to see it running. Right now, I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this problem or not. I do know that Mac players need a working client that’s the equivalent to the 64 bit version for Windows. Please Area Net, help out your Mac players.
I’m a new player, and been trying to do the events in The Silverwastes. Each time I’m with a large group on the bosses, the game crashes. I’m on an iMac, and it’s more than powerful enough for this game. It happens so often, it’s to the point where I feel I wasted my money on this game. Are you guy’s aware of this issue? Yes, I know that it’s still in beta for the Mac, but I would just like to know that you guy’s are working on it. The bigger problem is that after the crakittentempt to get back in game, but wind up on a different server. EVERY TIME! Why can’t I at least join the last server I was already on? It’s time consuming, and VERY frustrating to get to the end boss, only to crash, and relog onto a different server (or map, or whatever). Or to finish the boss, and crash just before I can get the loot. Yes, I could join someone’s party, but I run solo, and know no one in the game. I have tried to use looking for group, but I always wind up getting kicked, because of the crashes, so that’s no help at all. When it crashes, there is a different fail code each time. Nothing else on my system crashes. NOTHING! Just this game.
