Hi all, returning player here. I’m wondering what DH people are finding to be both effective and fun for roaming in WvW. I’ve heard we aren’t in the best shape, but that still doesn’t mean we don’t have some effective builds.

Bonus points if your suggestion isn’t GS/LB bland.

Thanks for all the advice. I was aware MH axe isn’t melee but I just wanted something that doesn’t req max range for effectiveness.

I’m just tired of using GS tbh. I’ve used it for years and I never found the playstyle to be interesting with a GS on any character.

I’n currently running an iteration of the old shoutbow build but find the staff to be lackluster when fighting melee. I’m looking to add a better melee alternative and I’m leaning away from GS due to its telegraphed strikes. Would Sword/Warhorn, Sword/Axe, or Axe/Axe be effective in this or a similar setup? It’s a power based build FYI.

I’ve been running the FT Juggernaut build for a while now but I have grown kinda bored with it, so I’m thinking of looking into condi builds and could use some advice. I’ve got a full set of dire gear and the rabid/dire ascended trinkets.

I know I want to run an elixir build. Are there any viable Elixir + 1 kit builds out there, kinda like the juggernaut build? Maybe with Elixir Gun? It’s for a little roaming but mostly small group play or zergs.

Title is pretty self-explanatory. Do you think the new elite spec will benefit greatest from power or condition stats and builds?

Support for your opinion would be appreciated, as it’s all just speculation for the moment.

Since the forums got reorganized and mac users lost even more hope for help, I figure we should start a new meta thread for reports of the still ongoing trading post bug (since it seems to be getting even worse).

Post your system specs and how often it occurs and maybe this one thread will make it easier for the Devs to find.

My game has a 50/50 shot of crashing when using the TP, otherwise runs smoothly.

I was wondering if condition builds, while scorned in PvE, are any good in WvW roaming? Either playing solo or running in a havoc group. I was thinking Rabid gear with Krait runes but am very open to suggestions. Here is just a sample build I whipped up real quick.

I was wondering if anyone could link me a viable build for BM in WvW. I haven’t really ever tried BM so I don’t know much about it, whether it uses power or conditions or even what stats to look for. Mostly playing solo of in a group of 5. Thanks!

Is it viable to roam WvW as an MM? And if so, what type of spec/weapons would be advisable? I’m considering finishing off my necro and MM was my game back in GW1. Thanks.

Hi, old player here who has recently returned to the game. Looking to start a new character, and was wondering if MM necros was still a viable way to play? I played as one all the time in the first game and loved it. Thinking about mostly WvW and PvE (I know necros aren’t the hottest in PvE, but regardless).
