Not that you see them too often.
Only in cities players are around together without scaling. In other places you get scaled near enemy level and rarely see greater color differences.
Try going to orr on a level 2 character, I promise you that you will see a lot of magenta
I’ll take nr 10, so please make sure that number is drawn

When I first discovered people were selling this path I always assumed that people just did it several times in a guild group.
Something like this: They do the dungeon once for the dailies, then again in less than ten minutes. Then the owner of the dungeon stays and tries to sell his 4 spots, while the other 4 complete the dungeon once again and completes the path yet again. Now the owner of this dungeon sells his 4 spots and the previous seller joins up with the group again. So 1 sells, 4 speed-clear it and then they just rotate the instance owner and splits the proceeds.
Then when I bought a path to level up one of my alts, I realized that this is by no means how it’s done. Instead everyone exploits the dungeon, and no legitimate seller has a fighting chance.
But is there really no way to report someone doing this. They aren’t botting, they aren’t scamming (they do uphold their end of the bargain), they don’t really abuse the LFG-system either.
So what should one do to help diminish the numbers of all these exploiters? Should one resort to spamming Anet’s mailbox?
Or is it nothing that can be done, other than to be sure to not buy any paths, that is sold on the AC-subsection of the LFG-system?

Hi,
I bought AC p1 via the LFG tool a second ago, and here is my question.
Are everyone selling AC p1 using some form of bug in order to skip parts of the dungeon?
Every seller I saw seemed to be a thief, and in the two instances I joined both were at the boss, despite not having done the hodgins’ parts.
I know that the selling of paths is allowed, and I actually regularly buy different paths due to time constraints. However is the act of bugging out the dungeon considered exploiting (there is definitely personal gain involved)? How do one report someone using exploits? And is it deemed acceptable by ANET to sell dungeon paths were exploits have been used?

Thought I should post here aswell (as the review forum post).
Almost a week has now gone by and still no answer from support.
Please make sure nothing is wrong

Also, can paste the answer in its entirety if that would be helpful.
Be warned though, all the previous responses was quoted as well. So it’s long :P
Wow, thats a quick response.
Well, it came at 00:31 CEST, 11 minutes after I had sent the email.
The title of the mail was:
[Guild Wars 2 Support] Re: Can’t redeem my Mr Sparkles code (request #6923) [Incident:131025-000734]
And it was probably the wording that made me think something was wrong. I felt it would be weird to get that mail if nothing had gone wrong.
Hope this will help you get to the root of the problem

Hi,
Thank you for the response and here comes the header as it was written in the mail.

On October 23rd, we transitioned to a new support system and will no longer be accepting tickets through our old support system. To make things easier for you, we have included the links to our new support sites below. We will respond to all outstanding issues submitted prior to October 23rd via email between October 23rd and October 30th. Please bear in mind that you may need to update your support bookmarks and/or shortcuts due to this change.
After October 31st, your ticket history will no longer be available. If you wish to back up any information from tickets closed before October 23rd, we offer you two suggestions:
1. You can log into your previous support account at https://plaync.custhelp.com/app/account/overview and either save your ticket history to your computer as an .htm document or print the tickets you wish to archive.
2. If you primarily used email to contact us, you can access your email account and save the emails related to your customer support tickets.
To submit a new ticket use the links below. Helpful tip: If you are following up on an older ticket, providing a copy of the previous discussion within the new system would be very helpful

Hi,
For some reason my mail response to support didnt seem to go through. Due to the updated support system. So here I’ll include it aswell in the hopes that it reaches support.
Thank you for the swift response(s). Please do manually apply the code to
my account. Seems like a simple and effective workaround.
Since my arms are getting a bit weary, from carrying lab equipment; relief
in the form of Sparkles would be greatly appreciated.

Hope this was an acceptable approach to the problem.

The thief is viable in WvW, and PvP. They are just alot harder than most classes to play successfully, in WvW/PvP. SB 2 is the best blast finisher in the game; thanks to stealth and burst they can easily go behind enemy lines and cap sentries, camps and get in a kill now and then.
If you don’t believe they can be effective, just look at any of the more experienced thiefs’ channels on youtube or twitch.
Here’s a video for your pleasure:

The warrior and guardian, as always, is the backbone of a successful zerg. But a thief has a given place there, as well as in roaming or whatever is deemed neccesary. Thiefs bring a seldom seen mobility and versality to the battlefield that is WvW.
But if mashing buttons is your thing, don’t whine about thiefs being kittenty and instead go play a warrior.

Hi,
I played a lot of TM when it was available. I found it really fun and challenging, though with quite a bit too long levels, in the second world. However what I irritated me the most in tribulation mode wasn’t length, spiketraps, flowers, invisible traps, etc. It was the Thunder Clouds.
Sometimes it took me dozens of tries to outmanouver a single cloud and get by it. Invulnerable was it aswell, so I couldn’t take my frustrations out on it. This I want you, Arenanet, to change.
I still think the cloud should be invulnerable. However, if one is like me, they may get extremely irritated on the cloud. They may want to, like me, be able to kill it after the character has passed it. Im asking for something like: When you’ve gotten to a cloud save, after the cloud, you can find a sword bundle (in a difficult to reach place) that makes it possible to kill the cloud. With that bundle one can backtrack a bit to the cloud, again backtrack, and kill it. Make it a somewhat challenging boss fight that, other than maybe an acheivment first time you kill any cloud, doesn’t give you anything. Just the satisfication of killing it.
Sorry for unneccesarily long exposition and I also want to make it clear that I personally isn’t an aggressive/easily irritated/murderous/etc. person. The clouds sometimes simply really annoy me. Once one done a zone five times, they really don’t pose to much of a challenge. But still the ability to get revenge on the cloud when it wipes the floor with you; is something I ache for.
I really hope a dev(/josh) reads it and takes this into consideration, but anyhow thanks for reading.
Cheers
Ps. To avoid someone bringing it to the next cloud, maybe have it removed if one wanders past a checkpoint or something. Not a programmer so not sure, but seems like a feasible workaround. Ds.
Finally I can find the legendaries/champions, before they die.
Much appreciated
Thank you for the response. I’ve emailed them now and hopefully it will all be sorted out in the near future.
Cheers
Hi,
Lately I’ve been unable to buy gems for money on the TP, says payment approval failed. But when I try to contact support about it chrome tells me that the site support.guildwars2.com no longer have a valid security certificate. Is chrome bugging out or is something else wrong?
I would love to buy gems but at the moment it seems an impossibility, I’ve even tried 2 different cards.
My question really is this, could a dev tell me if it’s really safe to vistit support, despite the big warning bells, or could support please help me via this thread, or PM me?
Thanks in advance
Hi,
I was wondering if a guild would be allowed to create a lottery, where prizes could include money, precursors and legendaries.
I was thinking of a setup like: Everyone who’d like to, deposits X g in the guild bank. At the end of a period, that money is used to buy something and is given to the winner of the lottery. Who’s determined through a randomizer, where the participants are those who deposited money.
Would this be against any rules, or policy or anything, in Guild Wars 2?
Patiently awaiting a response

A wonderfully written post by the OP that perfectly expresses my feelings and obviously a lot of others. ANET please listen to the community! This thread is only one of several saying exactly one thing: No darn treadmills.
