There isn’t a answer, if the behaviour of this forum doesn’t tell you nothing, and 5 minutes on map spamming a “Hey guys do you like fractal farm and fractal racism” waiting a couple guys answer “So cool, ye. LFM fractal lv 21 no noobs, link your gear or kicked”

Oh, I was just really curious what people would do if they did find out the people complaining were actually the “minority”

I’m just curious haha anyways enjoy your night or day (I don’t know where you’re from so, yea)

Wow, you speak with such confidence.
It seems you have gotten it all figured out.

What if the result was something you totally didn’t expect? What then..?

Considering i read forums on multiple languages, and all of them are quite similar to this one, uhm ye, i’m confident about it.

Didn’t really answer my question. Haha.

Well, if what you saw 5 minutes on map is majority, i guess it’s useless explain you what non english speakers thinks, the real number of gw2 playerbase, what ALL of them thinks etc. A realistic way to understand what is going on is a survey , using multiple languages, asking questions about geargrind and fractals and if they are happy with it, and if they was asking / hoping it. (Not the funny survey we saw recently ) Now, watch the results

IRL I would actualy say work hard to get rewarded. But the problem is I play this game for fun. I have already payed 60$ to have fun and I would prefer not having to grind to have fun when it would be possible to create an option that wouldn’t force me to grind before having fun.

So you would have a problem in real life about an option that would allow you to be rewarded without working hard?

I am curious why you think an online game should have easy access to fun while real life shouldn’t.

Would you have a problem, in real life, if you first have to carry 1000 stones of 1kg just such that you can play a friendly game of chess with friends?

Would you have a problem (in rl) if you first have to eat 100 big macs before you can watch the movie you like?

I like a little collecting, sure, but you compare a job with entertainment. For entertainment you pay a ticket (50 euro) and you can experience it and to not want real life principles creeping into it is a reasonable demand.

I think why some people like vertical progression is the means of getting to the “end” although for some its a grind.. for some its actually fun and they enjoy it, it’s pretty psychological.

Dear gamers, please don't ruin this for me.

The amount of bitterness is proportional to the amount of wrongdoing (perceived).

What your calling “wrongdoing” other people may call it “doing the right thing”! Don’t you understand that?

Exactly.

I don’t think of it has “wrongdoing” at all.
It is still a great game regardless of direction.

If I work my butt off for something it better be something that’s better than something I could have gotten in 5 minutes!!!

Don’t hate me. <3

D3 community anger was: company’s fault
GW2 community anger is: company’s fault
Pretty clear, isn’t it ;)

Maybe but maybe not..
Some just argue for the sake of arguing..
Some do it to make them feel better about themselves.
Some do it to feel like they are a part of something.

Honestly, I for one dont care about which direction GW2 goes. Even though lot of you say its turning into another WoW clone its still an entirely different game.

Well, it could very well be true.
Keep in mind that it is usually the same people spamming all the threads about how much Ascended gear sucks.

Those that are happy does not hang around on the forums most of the time and even if they do they might not spam all those threads.

I have seen almost as many: “I like this” or “I am okay with this” people as I have seen “This is worthless, ArenaNet lies!!” people. Which most likely would mean that the majority is actually happy or at least okay with it.

^This

Everyone that complained about the content did it so much that they became the “voice” of the community while the people that enjoy it are playing and not hanging around on the forums!

Bitterness, Bitterness everywhere!

Anyways I don’t think you guys should tell OP to get out of the forums..
He does have some solid points..
D3’s community seriously was one of the worst communities ever
although now it got a lot better.. there are still people who blame blizzard for everything.. EVERY SINGLE thing.. they come up with arguments that don’t even make sense.

I am truly afraid this is what is going to happen to this community.

Good: leveling zones are being looked at

And I think having seasonal events focused on a particular zone (which Halloween did to some extent) would help too. Christmas in Hoelbrak! Valentine’s Day in the Grove! Back-to-school in Rata Sum! Each with its own cluster of temporary level 80 (or scaled) content encouraging players to revisit a low-level zone.

This sounds like an awesome idea it would make these zones lively!

In just one weekend..

Everyone’s got their own opinions
There’s nothing they don’t know about
But in the end nobody’s winning
‘Cause nobody’s got it figured out~

Oh the things we think we know
But honestly we really don’t
Save the worry, stop the hate
It doesn’t matter anyway
