Totally agree! Dagger is now terrible. No longer will you enter battle and do a quick ninja strike. Now you enter and do flop on the floor like a confused fish, but hayy, maybe the idea now is to confuse your opponent, as they stair at u flopping around confused. Hopefully they will fix this! The only fish like thing I want on my ranger is the underwater pets!

Thanks for the advice Zenos Osgorma! Ill try it out.
Ankittenyel i’m not to sure about necro, so far all the ones I have come against have been quite insane. But I don’t play necro so can’t really have an opinion on it.

thnx to off-hands trait change dagger is no longer a ninja jolt towards your enemies, but a slugish flop on the floor. And I don’t agree with you on the fact ranger is in a better place. Condition builds with ranger are no longer viable. Zerker gets wiped far to often due to the changes in traits such as “bark skin” what now makes you have higher toughness when your above the fresh hold instead of below. And I agree that pets are buggy right now. And most of the rangers new traits are a bit on the bad side.

So the new specialization feature has effected everyone, some classes being a lot stronger than ever now with the ability to 1 hit players, and some classes becoming a lot weaker that its questionable if they are viable in pvp regardless of build. The class i’m here to talk about is the ranger. The latest changes have been very negative on the ranger where going any form of crit build is no longer capable due to the low damage. Ranger also lacks the condition ability of the other classes unless it gives up all its survivability making it become an easy wipe out. And so far with all my experimenting I am yet to find one build of ranger that is capable of not being 1 hit killed by some stealthy thief, or condition spec necro, ect. I have even gone to the limits of making a ranger with no focus on any damage, only focus on defence, condit removal, and trying to keep a constant regen. But even then this got 1 hit killed.

Sorry if I sound a bit moany, but can anyone give any advice on any builds that are actually now viable as ranger? As far as I currently see the class is pretty much a “no-go” for pvp.
