This is only a game’s pre-purchase, nothing more. All who have already pre-purchase it have been bought big in a poke, without seeing the product. They have a faith that expansion will have enough content for that money what Anet asks for.

Those who haven’t bought it yet, haven’t bail themselves out yet from expansion. They want to see what they will get to their money, does it have enough content, is it worth to buy. There is plenty of time to buy product when it comes on the market and even then when it comes to first discounts. That’s how marketing works, first comes those (innovators) who will spend their money for the product, no matter what it cost, then comes those (majority of the users) whom want to see is it worth to buy product and then finally comes those who will only buy when product is cheap and “old” for those first rushers a.k.a innovators.

Why Anet choose this time to open pre-purchase? It is because E3. Maybe they wanted to brag about how fast that pre-purchased started and how many million copies they have sold in few days. Now… they can not brag about anything, everybody in E3 is laughing at them. Their marketing department fail them badly and they got total ashamed in E3.

I haven’t pre-purchase game yet. I want to see first is it worth to put my money in it.

No, it is not going to end like this. Don’t worry. There are always players who are playing just core game and those who can play core game and HoT too. Playerbase is just divided for a while little bit.

There are plenty of ppl who have already pre-purchase HoT. If you did pre-purchase it they will be with you in HoT area. Those who are staying in core game are in there.

I am sure that many of those who does not have pre-purchase game will wait until they see what they will get with their money. If it is worth it, they will buy it when they have good information from it.

Some will wait until HoT have first discounts and buy it in there and join to those who have already played in new expansion area. And some will never buy it.

It is like in Guild Wars 1; There were those, who had all games Prophecies, Faction and Nightfall and expansion Eye of the North. Then there were those who own only Faction, or Nightfall, but not Prophecies. You can imagine all combination with these 3 games:
1. Faction yes – Nightfall and Prophecies no
2. Nightfall yes – Faction and Prophecies no
3. Prophecies yes – Nightfall and Faction no
4. Faction and Nightfall yes – Prophecies no …

You can continue the list as long as you want.

And yes there will be a lot of playerbase to speak after the release of Hot. Just calm down and enjoy the game

A lot of people do like new dailies! And I am one of them ArenaNet did well to change this daily system

Perhaps it will be Gem Store item. It is access stone to the past Halloweens, like Halloween 2012. So all could get their Mad Memories and fight with Mad King in his dungeon.

For anyone from anet reading this: I CANNOT stress enough… what a dangerous thing you folks have going on here. As I’m sure NCSOFT would be quick to remind you guys, you are a business foremost over everything else. I’ve been an excellent customer to you guys and I love your game, but it really feels like you arent taking these hacking attempts seriously. I say this because of the /one time rollbacks/ and the finger of blame being pointed at US for being hacked. I know that there are tons of people playing this game and it’s a TON of work to take care of all of us. But at the risk of sounding like some spoiled kid, you need to take care of us. We’re customers and we deserve not only assurance that our time and money werent wasted, but assurance that if things go wrong, we can rely on YOU to help us. And i mean always, not just once.

You’ve helped me out with problems before and I really appreciate the work you do. But it’s important that your customers feel safe and cared for. These account hacks really make us feel uneasy. A good first step to help would be to rescind your strict rollback policy. The fact that we could be abandoned if youve already helped us once is such a horrible thought, that it makes me want to run for the hills and never play this game again. Empathy is key here, just want to remind everyone of that = /

I feel by myself very stressed out because of all of these hackings. I have used 6000 euros to gem cards and PaySafeCards in this game. I have a total of 40 characters that are level 80’s, as well as a nameless number of lower level characters. I have several accounts in this game and I have used most of the money to my main account. ( In fact, I do not dare to log in even to this forum with my main account information, because I am afraid that these pages are not safe either. ) Part of these gem cards I haven’t use yet, but I do not intend to invest any cent on this game anymore until its safety is guaranteed and until I can be sure that I do not loose all those invested time and money on this game. I have so many accounts in this game, because it was cheaper to buy whole new game in Guild Wars 1 than buy one character slot.

My friends account was hacked some time ago and that way he was forced to use the ArenaNet’s offered only one time roll back. Since then I have been in quite a panic with this situation. I might log into the game during the day just look at the guild information, that any of our accounts have not loged out from the game. In this way I found my friend account hacking last time. When I saw what have happened I informed him immediately that his account was log-out at that time when he could not be at the computer. And what he only got from these forums was mocking, facepalms and harrasing by some specific ppl who usually answers in the forum.

ArenaNet can not understand how they cause their customers to panic and stress, as well they don’t understand how they cause psychological violence same time by saying that it is always their customer’s fault if they got hacked. I did like this game very much, but now I have started to looking for new game, which I could invest my time, my money and feel secure same time.

Astral mentioned in one of the her responses in this Forum, that Gail Gray have told that they are going to ban 1000 accounts that have been hacked. I think, this is just the tip of the iceberg, and the actual amount of hacked accounts will never be known. Some have already used the roll back feature, so they are just giving up and suffer their loss.

I do not have a smart phone, I have only old Nokia’s banana phone. If ArenaNet thinks that I’m going to buy a smartphone just because of one game, it is totally wrong. I think ArenaNet should take this situation very seriously, or ArenaNet will soon realize that they don’t have many customers who are using money to their game. They should develop a safety feature in this game that it does not require customers to purchase new gadgets, but to secure their accounts by other means, such as a PIN code or otherwise.

I do change the passwords for my e-mails every week. Apparently, I need to start to change my password every week to this game too, not only monthly like I now do, until I find a safer game. My accounts have not been hacked so far, but the danger for it is growing every day, I can feel it. Maybe Anet does not care, they have already have those money what we have spent in here. They have got those money what I have used in those gem cards too.

I have made my Sylvaries the same model, but I have tried to colour them to match their profession. Because you can only do that with Sylvaries.

Specific Race Titles

- These titles are obtained / unlocked only by playing a specific race.
- When the title becomes available, it will be use-able by all characters in the account no matter what race they are
- There should be 1 Major title for each race
- Example of titles:

- Asura: Lab Genius
– Sylvari: Champion of Pale Tree
– Charr: High Tribune
– Human: Commander of Seraph
– Norn: Hero of Hoelbrack

- Each major title will have 10 tiers, each having its own name (mini titles) which can be displayed only by the respective race once it is unlocked (remember the title tiers in GW1: Kind of a Big Deal, I am very Important, etc.)
- Earning tiers will involve doing various activities in the game like Personal Story, Jumping Puzzles, Crafting, etc. done with the specific race
- Example: Finish all JPs with a Charr, Finish the personal Story with a Charr character, Buy all cultural armors for a charr etc.
- These tiers can be cumulated with the achievements we already have as if you see above, finishing the story or JPs have already their achievements but they are account related not race related.
- So these “new” tiers will make these achievement more specific.

In this way there is not any auxiliary system added to the game but it will build upon the ones we already have

I have done a bit of thinking on how to obtain these titles what you are talking about and here is what I have came up with.

I have modified a few of those you put in there too.

If others have better title name ideas, feel free to add/change them

1.) Racial Titles
2.) Order Specific Events (Priory, Vigil and Whisper)
3.) Add meaning to the existing Personality System (Charm, Ferocity and Dignity)

This issue is happening to me right now. Game shows that I am alone in a guild roster, it does not show what rank I am in the guild, it does not show guild’s influence, no upgrades, no history.

I am located in the EU, but I am playing NA (Fort Aspenwood) server.

Please Arena Net, would you please fix this problem asap.

Same problem in here. I am also located in the EU and playing in NA (Fort Aspenwood) server.

Only thing what I have found bottleneck to enjoyment from this game and from living world (which is whole Tyria, with all maps and areas) is, players do not get rich just by playing.

Players can not enjoy whole game and it’s all aspects if they do not have decent weapon or armor. I am talking in here Exotic level 80 armor and weapon.
- Players do not get enough Karma by playing this game, when they hit level 80 they do not have enough Karma for Orr Exotic Armor
- Players do not have enough money to craft some Exotic armor or Exotic Weapon
- Players do not have enough money to buy those Exotic armors or weapons from TP
- And just for running same stupid Dungeon day after day after day, will definetly take their enjoyment from the game, just for getting enough tokens to get Dungeon armor or weapon

- Solution for this is very simple. Players should earn enough money or Karma just by playing game, so they could get their first decent armor when they have reach the level 80.
- It should be more profitable just play the game not playing with TP or doing same mindless dungeon runs.

I have played Charr’s Personal Story an when I have got to do The Tribune’s Call quest. I couldn’t continue, because the Charrs what I was spying on, in stealth mode, were not moving anywhere from beside of Tailoring Station.
