I think that every get store item should have a buy option in gems and a buy option in gold. The gold price could change with the market so you are still paying the same amount as before. This removes the need for gem conversion all together and I believe this would be the easiest system for new players. There is no need to convert gems if you are not using them so no one would lose out there. If anet truly wants the simplest system for new players I think this would be a better option.

Mace does cleave 100% certain. second skill is aoe and third skill is pbaoe so it is far from a single target weapon

mace shines in trash fights with multiple mobs were you take little amounts of damage. If traited the symbol also applies aoe vulnerability so I use it in some bad group comps. It has about 2% dps decrease to sword so I always switch to sword on single target fights with mobs with small hit boxes. On large hit box mobs I switch to scepter. I’ll have my two weapon sets be scepter/focus and scepter/torch. BTW this is about the only time torch is viable. In case you were wondering I have 1500 hours on guard with 2000hours in total. I had four activated commander compendiums activated on my account prior to the feature pack and have still not received my refund. No. Adding torment to the scepter auto attack would create a spec that requires little to no skill that can easily 1v1 any class. Even managing your cooldowns would not be necessary since a majority of you damage would be on your autoattack, even clones can be spawned using the autoattack. My fear is the new pvp Mesmer meta will be a build with a bunch of passive defensive abilities and will require no skill.

I feel that the scepter does need a buff however and to make the scepter less overpowered the torment should only be added to the final strike in the autoattack chain.

I currently own multiple commander tags on several of my characters and wondering what will happen when the feature pack comes out and the commander tag is made account bound. Has Arena net made any statements about this?

There are a bunch of items in game that require you to double click to open/activate them. Using items like essence of luck can be very tedious when you have stacks of the item built up in your inventory. I think that there should be an option when you right click on a stack of items, like essence of luck, to use the stack. This option would use all of the stack in one click and save you time and effort. In terms of bags this option could stop opening new bags if your inventory fills up. This is something that I have personally wanted to see in the game for a long time since it could make my life allot easier.

Come on Anet I have been working on my Eternity for months now and I was ready to craft it on Friday but then I saw the ticket vendor would not be released until Tuesday. To my dismay you have since then delayed the release even further. I could have farmed up half of the obsidian shards I need in this time; I have not though because of my faith that you would have the problem resolved in a reasonable time. I do have faith you guys are doing everything you can to fix the problem but can you guys at least tell us the minimum amount of time it will take to fix the issue so I can start using my time effectively.

Just as a disclaimer before you read this, There is no dps meter in the game so all of the calculations are done completely off time of kill and that I only did 10 tests per weapon.

I ran several tests in pvp today on heavy target dummies and found that the range in time to kill a heavy golem using the sword is almost exactly the same as the mace. During these tests i used the same amulet (berserker’s), the same rune set (strength), and the same sigil on my main hand weapon (superior sigil of force). The only thing that I changed was the build. (Note that none of these changes effected any of the gs trats)

I did ten test using sword/focus and ten tests using mace/focus and timed how long it took to kill the golem. The dps rotation I used for sword was simply auto attack since in the dps guide written by obal that is sticked on the forums says that the sword 2 skill is a dps loss and that the 3 skill has almost identical dps to the sword auto attack. The build I used for testing sword dps was 4/6/2/0/2. The range in time for the kills was between 10 and 9.5 seconds.

The dps rotation is used for mace is starting out with the 2 skill and then using auto attack. The build that I used for testing Mace damage was 5/5/2/0/2. The range in time for golem kills with the mace were between 11 and 9.5 seconds. Keep in mind that these dps tests did not take into account the heavy hitting mace skill protectors strike which hits for about 6k damage on crit. The reason i didn’t include this in the test is simply that the golems dont attack and the skill can not be triggered.

If my tests were in fact accurate this could mean that mace could be a more viable weapon for pve given the fact that the 2 skill provides regeneration for the group to keep the scholar rune bonus up and it also pulses vulnerability on the foe.( the vulnerability is very short lived though). The skill protectors strike is also another block which improves your suitability with out a loss to your dps.

So what do you guys think, could mace be used viably in pve?

Do we have an eta on when this will be fixed yet. I could have gotten my eternity on Tuesday but the reward bug prevented me from getting it and still is preventing me from getting it. I have been working on this for months now, please fix this soon.

I was having the same problem and i updated my graphics drivers and the problem was resolved hope this helps you.

Every time I launch the game the menu pops up and i login and hit play and then the screen goes black and a error message pops up (the game music is playing in the background don’t know if that helps) the message says that “a serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run.” I have checked and my systems requirements are up to date and all of my drivers are also up to date. I have also tried repairing gw2.exe but i get a serious error message again at 34,522 files remaining. This problem started when I updated for the feature patch and i have never had this problem before now. Please help i already lost out on the free transmutation charges because of this error.

i am getting the same exact error upon launching the game. I get the same message when i launch the game with the repair command as well.
