No news from anet yet on if they are taking any corrective actions to disincentive such behaviour in the future.
That is exactly it, ANET is more than likely going to do what they did in the past to repeat offenders. Give them dishonor till the end of the season and tell them not to do it again. Meanwhile they participate in pvp on alt accounts while profiting through irl $ and in game items/currency. When the next season comes around they will repeat the same actions. Not to mention they are not locked out of the rest of the game on their dishonored accounts during this time, so they can still wvw and pve.
Meanwhile the pvp community in NA shrinks further due to their actions, they ruin the games and the fun of countless others and diminish the value of rewards, titles and the leaderboard.
In some cases permabans are warranted, how many times is enough for ANET to say enough is enough? They are doing more damage to the community than good, it’s time to cut ties with them and all their alt and tainted accounts.
If they want back in, they can buy a brand new copy of the game, chances are they’ll just use someone elses account; if they repeat the actions on the new account, you can remove that one to if you find out it’s a repeat offender in the future.
No one would care if they did it on their mains, that would be fine.
It’s against TOS what they did, now we’re just waiting for action from anet.

A message from the PvP team:
We have received many reports this season about match manipulation both here on the forums and via in-game reports. Our investigation revealed that a few players were sharing a handful of accounts, which is clearly against our User Agreement.
While the investigation into this is still ongoing, at this time we have enough evidence to take action. As a result, we’ve decided to give dishonor to the offending accounts for the rest of the season. As our investigation continues, further action may be taken should we feel it appropriate.
@Gaile
So to be clear – they are being punished for account sharing primarily and not for match manipulation?
It would be beneficial to the community as a whole if Anet could release a clear and concise statement on where they stand when it comes to Match and Leaderboard Manipulation; and sticky it to the top of this forum.
Here’s the page; https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Matchmaking_Algorithm
Scoring/Dishonor/@distance
Score added or removed based on the distance between the potential roster’s total dishonor and the total dishonor of all selected rosters, including both teams.
Scoring/Dishonor/@stack
Score added or removed per stack of dishonor the potential roster has on any of its members.
Since “dishonor” as it is normally understood would prevent the player from queueing, this appears to imply that there is another internal usage of “dishonor.”
Is that the case? If so, what type of dishonor did these people get? How is that “awarded” and by whom?
Is that how ANET responds to reports?
@Ithilwen.1529 please stop trying to make this thread about you and start your own thread, you are straying too far from the original topic. The odds of losing 60+ matches in a row is extremely low and I imagine extremely disheartening. I would not wish this on anyone. While I understand your concerns, it is off topic here and should get more appropriate attention in its’ own thread. I hope this never happens to you again!

Best,
A long time silver player who loves this game
Funny that this account that you’re posting from was actually played by a proleague player on a public stream.
So let’s not deceive people by pretending to be a real silver league player.
Kudos to anet for taking action earlier rather than later to prevent countless accounts from being affected by the actions of a few
It’s not really encouraging new ppl to keep pvping when we’re standing over their bodies and my idiotic teammates are saying things like “ez win” “l2p” etc.
But k if the community wants me to prance around on their dead bodies every match to further assert my dominance – I can do that to. /sarcasm
For me winning at this point isn’t about feeling better than others – it’s about farming champion brawler and minimizing match time. Every game is just another notch on the belt. People already know if they won/loss, no need to rub it in.
This pedestal thing with dead enemies on the ground after a game is unnecessary.
Adding insult to injury if anything.
What team of people approved this? It was fine before, match overview popup then back to hotm
I saw this the past few days against some serial re offenders who parade around as though they are untouchable.
Going to continue to record, screen shot and report.
Hopefully ANET takes action against guilty parties before they completely ruin the season for others.
There are a number of 1800+ players not appearing on that screen shot because they didn’t do that weeks minimum required games yet or are simply decayed. Just because they don’t appear on the leaderboard doesn’t mean they don’t exist and wont show up just before the minimum required games increases. Also that is very clearly Naru and Nos decayed/not enough games yet. This screen and comment is deceptive to anyone who is not familiar with this season’s pvp
