It was a great concept, but the technical issues, DC’s, Auth server dying and the inability for players who spent 3 hours in the event to get any kind of reward really bites and makes me really reluctant to join in future events. :/
I really hope you guys find a way to resolve this.
No, not going to happen. We have every right to be upset for wasting 4 hours grinding through mobs to then be denied ANYTHING.
^ I was kicked due to the Auth servers dying and got moved to another overflow with the event already finished. It’s utterly unfair that I should waste hours grinding on mobs and then be denied even seeing the event finish.
Score update? Is ET beating SF? The posts here make it seem like SF just died, lol.
ET doesn’t even have more then 10 people bothering to fight as of a few hours ago. Sadly, I’ve made the difficult decision to move to another server in hopes of finding enough players who will enjoy WvW to make a battle possible. :/
This isn’t a sport, nor an esport for that matter. The rating system is completely fine the way it is.
Careful, You don’t want ArenaNet hearing you say it’s not an esport.

Two full pop servers vs a medium pop server…makes sense, right?
@Predator, Deserted is incorrect. Thing is, 70-ish players working in two groups are nowhere near the strength 500 man army. Not everyone has given up and some fairly strong pushes have been made before the zergling rush caught up.

I got panda’s and went to lose my mind to the dark side. Fell off the wagon, even with nearly 4 years of recovery. Yes, It’s horrible and yes, I’d rather be playing WvW….but of course I’m on ET which just got crushed. :/
Meh, this is so broken it isn’t even funny.
To folks who think the system is working as intended: This is not about steamrolling the enemy or rage quitting. This is about actually having something where there’s a chance, however tiny, of making a real difference. The enemy can simply crush anything we attempt to do.
Tactics? The only thing that matters is the numbers and there is no way we can compete. Furthermore, Rallying is next to impossible as no one sees the point in playing once we’re behind by 15k points and frankly I don’t blame them. They just transfer to the winning server anyway.
The entire WvW system is broken and honestly that’s a shame, because it’s a great deal of fun when there’s actually a chance, however small, at winning.
