My guess would be you missed this wonderful place
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vexa%27s_Lab
It has something to do with different levels of Bloodlust.
Example: my rogue has a superior sigil of bloodlust on his main weapon but majors on both of his sea weapons. So on land he build up a stack (10’s) and enters the water…boom no stacks. He kills stuff with his sea weapon and starts a new stack (7’s). He goes back on land and the stack size does not increase with the superior sigil weapon. However, I have a backup land weapon that only has a major as well. If i kill stuff in this situation with that weapon the stack size will increase (7’s).
So it appears that the lower intensity (7 vs 10) stack will overwrite the stack itself and not allow the superior to increase the stack amount. The superior will keep alive the stack of bloodlust but cannot contribute to it (in this condition). So the only way to get the superior stack working again, after being overwritten, is to equip a weapon without bloodlust, lose the stack entirely, and start over with the superior weapon.
Just conjecture based on one user’s testing, I could be wrong, but the UI indicates that I am not.

I think that it is a recent change.
On my toons that use Bloodlust, they have it on both land/sea weapons just to make sure this does not happen. The last few days has my Bloodlust using warrior running around Orr and every time I jump in the water…poof no stacks. And yes both of my underwater weapons have Bloodlust on them as well.

I understand ANet’s desire to “encourage” players to try other modes of play, but there has got to be a better way than having the WvW be part of the mainly PvE map completion achievement.
Suggestion 1:
Break the map completion into two separate achievements: 1 = PvE areas only and 1= WvW areas only. Obviously the easiest solution, so definitely will never happen.
Suggestion 2:
Add a fourth color force to the WvW for non-participating observers. Call it the white force. They are present in the WvW areas but cannot attack or be attacked by other players. This allows players to experience the area without being forced into “fight or flight” tactics.
Just my opinions.

I had a lowbie Mesmer parked at the Troll’s End puzzle chest and fully expected to find myself in another zone when I logged in to her last night. I was surprised and happy to find myself still there.
However as soon as I opened the chest, one of those beams of destruction from outer space blasted me off the rock that the chest is on.
Take heed, if you still have someone up there for this purpose, open and log out quickly as the blast will knock you off and is unavoidable.
Don’t forget that today is patch Tuesday and that might be contributing to this mess.
Confirmed, this started on 28 January and continues. Haven’t been there for every event, but the 4 that I have been in that area during for in the last 2 days have all been bugged.
If your looking for a PVE explorer/hunter/world boss killer build, here is my main.
Norn Longbow/Greatsword max dps on any PVE mission.
play style: pew pew pew from max range (usually attack 1 then 2) and when they get in close swap to the Greatsword and use attack 2 and a spread of 1 and they are usually done.
For hard to beat down mobs: summon spirits, pew from range, swap to Greatsword, run in and hit an Entangle, throw an area heal and then attack 3 for the burst regen effect and go to town.
I use a full complement of the Nika exotic armor set with superior Ogre runes. (the rock dog spawns a lot and is a good companion for my other pets. Until you can get the set, any yellow/orange Berserker armor pieces will work
I use a non-named Berserker longbow and the Ebonblade (Named greatsword) and they complement the playstyle greatly.
Its a fun build to explore Tyria with and run with other guildies with in a support role.
