Whay can Russia or US do whatever they want?Simple they both have full Ascended(and best food ). Unlike Ukraine that is in blue gear and has no “food”(not in a fancy guild also).
Increase in power you get from ascended gear is noticable.Again its DPS base from weapon all added power and mults.This translates to around 15-20% bonus dmg.Faster kill rates also reduce the dmg you recive,so in the end you are much stronger then in exotic.
Ascended gear was not made because exotics were so easy to get.Who ever belives that is well…“sapecial”.Ascended was created to force people to think:“credit card vs time wasted”,“buy the gems and have fun
”.Conveniently exchange rates are better by the day…
I can understand alot of people cant afford Ascended gear,or they get dishearted when they see what is needed to get that gear.But dont tell me people dont NEED and WANT best gear,its just ridiculous.

Every NORMAL player wants and needs best stats.The dmg increase and % dmg recived due to faster killing rate is more then NOTICABLE.For greatsword increase of weapon DPS is 52.5 + all the power and crit dmg is closer to around 20 or more dmg then 5% hehe.only builds that dont have noticable gain from Ascended gear are condi builds,but they never were good anyway…
I see forum “you dont need ascended gear” trolls are as active as ever.Which is no surprize because they dont realy play the game…
No grind = no goal to work towards = no point to continue to play. If you don’t want asc items no problem you can still effectively play the game. The problem lies that our society lacks patience. We want everything yesterday with as little effort as possiable.
Dont wory you and people like you will get what you need/want?Anet just removed %bonus on gear so its redy for adding new tier/s of gear.All the people that grind already have full ascended and they are bored hehe,wonder if Anet can catch up with adding tiers and keap all the people in the game that dont like gear progression.Lots of lies “statements” and spins will hapen funny times ahead hehe.
I totally agree with you,becouse I had same problem with the game as did you.I lvl up all 8 professions,did all the dungeons,solo lupicus,WvW,PVP,got legendary but for me game started to fall apart when they added laurels.I am not doing dailys only dungeons and WvW,I rarely ended up with laurels so I started to force my self to do dailys so I can get ascended amulets.It got even worse with with trinkets,becouse I am EU player on NA server so I am off usualy when guild is doing missions.But as it always happens it got even worse when they added weapons only by crafting,the thing is I never crafted anything till that point becouse I did not find it fun or intresting.Now I had 1 more chore to do and becouse crafting is expensive I had to start farming gold.That is when I saw the cruel reality of “reward system” in GW2.All time I spent playing the game(dungeons,WvW) was far less rewarded then farming and later champion farming.All the karma I had,all the tokens I had were worthless,like all the time I spent in dungeons was inferior playtime to the one of gold farmer O_o.I then realized that in order to gear my toons with full ascended I will have to play segments of the game I dont like at all.Game which claimed to be based on horizontal progression now has more vertical then horizontal progression which is realy sad.For that I blame the living story which functioned more like a chore and grind then new content.Think about if we got few new dungeons and old dungeons redesign,new WvW maps and features,world events evolution,I would prefer that over living story anyday.Problem is lack of vision or just general lazyness,if they for example added a hard mod to the game it could alow a new progression inside a tier of gear we had already and options for that type of progression combined with expansion in trait system could offer all the progression people could ever desire,without forcing on particular segment of the game like PVE gold farm.I play Neverwinter now but I still hope GW2 will get better.I played GW1 for long time and to see how GW2 is doing now is realy sad.
First this game favors DPS and the amount of team play required to stack might,fury..
2nd you prolly never played ranger as other trolls here.Ranger needs 500 distance on longbow for higher base auto attack then sword,gs,axe or sb.On 500 range ranger can buff him self,party and recive buffs from party.LB has burst and aoe burst+arrows pierce trait 15-20k dmg …
As long as you are zerker and things die fast it doesnt matter who puts fields lol.Problems start with condition bunkers and bunkers in general.
Most important thing for a game you play is that you have fun playing it.GW2 game segments:PVE,PVP,WVW are unrewarding and most importantly unbalanced with each other in terms of rewards.Dungeons are not intresting some are fast some longer but all are the same,cleaning a lot of OP trash and bursting bosses with little to none mechanics.PVE is turned into zerg fest,PVP is linear and over time boring,WvW is best segment of GW2 imo,but again very unrewarding.Ascended gear made things worse I remember after karka event some big dev guy said they will be implementing ascended gear across all segments of game,lots of time passed and we dont have ascended in dungeons,or for karma(prices ridiculous).Basicly people like me that play WvW and dungeons and hate dailys and crafting have hard time getting ascended becouse we get no laurels for things we like to do.I have insane amounts of dungeon tokens,karma and BoH so Anet says:we dont value segments of game you like to play and rewards you colected,we value daily and monthly grinds,gold and farming in general.Whay would my time spent in dungeons and rewards I got worth less then time someone spent on getting laurels?GW2 as it is now is so undefined on its future that I figured its best to leave it until they decide what they want to do and where they want to go with GW2.I am playing Neverwinter for 3 months now.Its far worse game then GW2 in almost all segments of the game.but dungeons are very fun,with good design and rewarding so I am having a lot of fun in Neverwinter so far.So yea I can sugest to post maker try something else,there are lots of good MMOs out there you just have to find 1 that suits your game segments prefrencess.Its pointless to complain on forums becouse they are filled with “soldiers” and trolls constantly recycleing same type of phrases.Trust me find something else and watch what hapens here if they make some good changes you can come back.I personaly wait for dungeon redesign and ascended implementation across the board.Until then dont forget to have fun and avoid forums
I just love when I see:you need to dodge posts its now like a clasic trolling on all combat related threds.The truth is in open world pve and dungeons with zerker gear and max dmg builds you actualy dont need to dodge,exept for some crucial dodges you need to make no matter what gear set you have.Bunkers make dungeons and encounters in them much longer,which results in need of lot dodgeing,kiteing and cc to successfully complete them,but that style of play with lots of dodging and kiteing is what large number of players prefer as do I when I have time.Other thing that makes people go bunker and suport bunker idea is the fact they are scared of getting down in dungeons and the reaction of other players to them being downed.The irony is the more bunker you go the more aggro you will get lol,so where the zerker would save you bunker gets you all the attention.With curent system zerkers are the best for not just speed but also stress free runs,minimizing the encounter durations minimize the pressure group will take.Lets not forget WvW and PvP where situation is totaly difrent.Bunkers dominate the WvW and PvP,vigor is a must,dodgeing is esential,regen and kiteing key to victory.So to sumerize you dont have zerker only mindset,its more based on what area of game you play.

I have full zerk ranger 30 30 5 0 5 I run lb axe/warhorn. Autoattacks with lb are from 2.8-3.2k+ without might,number 2 skill on lb highest ending dmg 18k,no3 % more dmg,no5 high dmg aoe with cc and your arrows pierces targets,there is no chance any bow on any proffesion can beat lb on ranger in terms of dps + you have pet lol.Only thing you need to care for max dmg is range from which you fire you need long range for max dmg.
I think that adding an option to change stat set on armor and weapons would be a great improvment for the game. At this point we clutter ouer inv with multiple sets of armors,weapons and jewels, we need for difrent types of activities(wvw,pve,dungeons,farming…). I sugest you create a system much similar to skill change, with which we could change attribute sets on weapons,armor and jewels. Say I just finish dungeon on my warrior having full zerker set on and I wanna play some wvw, np I just change my armor,weapon and jewels to soldiers set and I am rdy for wvw. Unlocking attribute sets should be similar to appying runes and sigils, basicily you have option to destroy weapon,armor or jewel and unlock its stat set on armor,weapon or jewel you applyed it on(I have zerker ring on which I want to add soldiers attribute set.I buy ring from Grenth temple vendor which has soldiers attribute set.I destroy Grenth soldiers ring by applying it to my zerker ring, now my ring has both zerker and soldiers attribute sets I can change between whenever I want). I think this feature would bring much needed flexibility for gw2.
Robert what do you think about adding burst of like 8X Y dmg to ranger GS,where Y would be something in between guardian,warrior burst higher then guards burst lower then warriors burst.Personaly I think all melee weapons should have burst skill to compensate for the risk of melee range and that ranger GS deserves to have 1 to.So yea what do you think about it OP or OK?
I have nothing against MF in open world PVE,get as much as you can and farm as musch as you like.When it comes to dungeons I dont understand whay would you even run MF in dungeons,all loot from loot droping mobs in dungeons is junk(MF can hardly help with that)and MF is not affecting loot from chests.MF gear is power precision MF,so I cant understand whay people compare it to PVT,insted of PPT,PPC,PPCritdmg,so MF gear will not make you less durable,but you will be doing less dmg.Only way MF gear can make you less durable is if you use green or yellow rarity,in that case you will be less durable and you will do even less dmg(tbh I think lots of people run green mf gear its cheaper and has same MF stat,which in dungeon is a fail).MF gear has no place in dungeons imo no matter the rarity,MF brings little to none benifits for loot and penalizes the rest of team by devaluing time they have invested in particular instance.
Hello I like that ascended gear can be obtained outside fotm for laurels,but I cant understand the logic bahind their prices.Ascended amulets with higher stats cost 5days less then rings with lower stats O_o.I wonder is this some kind of overlook,or intended design to encourage people to do more fractals?
First I would like to thank you guys for creating an owerall amazing game.When I say owerall amazing I mean that 90% of curent GW2 content is amazing and needs no changes(that of course is my personal opinion),so I would like to express my opinions and ask few questions about the 10% of the game I think needs improvment or rework.
1.You created artisticly breathtaking world which is curently empty reason is simple its not as rewarding as high lvl areas(tho imo high lvl areas are not extremly rewarding to lol).I think that solution could be to make all areas reward players based on their lvl,but to adjust mobs and downscaling of players by improwing them so the dificulty of combat is roughly the same for lvl 80 players in orr as in starter areas.I already saw that you are working on a solution to this but it would be realy good to hear when exactly will these changes will come?
2.Ascended gear obtaining is quite limited atm and laurels prices are quite confusing,amulet with higher stats cost 5 days less so to speak then ring with lower stats O_o.When do you plan to put ascended gear in all parts of the game as was promised and do you plan to adjust laurel prices of rings and amulets to match basic logic?
3. More Stat and build flexibility is something I think would greatly improve curent gameplay.I was thinking of a model that allows you to put more stat combinations on every armor,weapon or jewel piece and they chande it as you need by click and select method.Acquiring could stay the same with new option to add stats by double clicking on desired piece of armor,weapon and/or jewel.It would be great to have the ability to change traits in Charater sheet, that would allow the creation of more complex dungeons and content in general posible.Do you plan to do something similar in the future?
4.I am seeing profession requirement latly warrior,mesmer and guardian in more and more LFMs for dungeons.I will try to explain whay and where is the problem on a COF p1.Lets take a berserkers warrior view on p1 in 2 difrent groups:1st group 4 zerker warriors and mesmer,1st boss dies during time warp,group runs to acolyte part mesmer helps with speed and stelth,mesmer ports group for gate part and last boss fight goes realy fast no 1 dies.
2nd group ouer zerker warrior and 4 random non mesmer,warrior or guardian professions.1st boss zerker warrior is close to death needs to switch to rifle/bow to stay alive(or starts GS walking around the boss which is lol moment),without stelth on runing part there is a slight chance that bridge group will not lose aggro which makes mess in acolyte room,boulder runing part some people die and it takes few runs to open the door,final boss ouer zerker warrior is dowend at least once if he is not switched to range.
So from this its not hard to conclude whay zerker warriors will love to run with mesmers and guards.mesmers can X2 the zerkers dps which improves zerkers survivability and is also helping speed and runing parts.
My question is do you have plans to rework dungeons or to improve some professions or maybe both to avoid profession tiers in the future?
5.GW2 is more and more unfrendly tawards new players,prices are going higher and higher,zones are empty and people ask for experiance more and more these days.If new player wants to get legendary weapon he/she will have the same chance at the forge and world drops(tho with higher prices even forge way will be lot more expensive thus unequal),but precursor and mats required will be unequaly more expensive then it was for same stuff at the begining of the game.Do you plan to do something about equal chances for obtaining high end items,becouse you know that people like cosmetics no matter when they started playing,disapointed players wont continue playing(without new players game could start to decilne)?

I think you actualy have great idea, but i would make it lets say 100g and rest scavanger hunt, that way precursor manipulation will end forever.
For people who defend curent situation with cheap phrases and dubious intentions at best keap up the good work of shoving how ridiculous curent situation is.
If A net planed to have small number of people with legendary weapons, whay not make precursors account bound?
People at A net have more info about game and its posible future progression then we can even dream of,they knew alpha testers and some beta players would use knowlage to their advantage,so whay not stop them by making precursors account bound? Let the speculation begin first tihing on my mind GEMS

My strong belif is that every player must have the same chance of getting precursor, no matter if started at lounch of the game a month later like I did,or one year from now.
If precursor is to follow RNG mystic forge then precursors must be account bound to preserve equal chance for everyone.
If scavanger hunt is the case to obtain precursor it needs not be account bound,becouse it is avaliable for all players equally and if someone feels like spending gold over time,matters not the main principal is preserved.
Leprekan dont concearn your self much about precursor I think problem will be solved in due time and its not a reason to quit great game
First I would like to say that I like and enjoy dungeons and that I find discussion so far quite interesting.
Now to suggestions:
1.Set all dungeons to lvl 80 and allow players from 1-80 to participate.
2.Make more tiers of difficulty: story,easy,normal and hard.
Story : I think story mod should not count as difficulty tier rather as a mod in which you casualy experiance the story of certain dungeon,it should not reward tokens.
Easy: This mod should be for low level,casual players.Low hp on trash mobs,mini bosses and bosses.little to none regarding mini bosses and bosses skills and mechanics.Minimal token and silver reward.
Normal: this mod should offer middle ground suitable for most people that run dungeons.Normal hp on trash mobs,few higher hp mobs with special skill.Mini bosses with special skills higher hp,bosses with higher hp and at least 3 phases each,Normal token and silver reward.
Hard: this mod should be for people seeking greater challange(vent,skype..).High hp for trash mobs,special trash mobs with special skills and high hp.Mini bosses with high hp and at least 2 phases mechanic,bosses with high hp and more then 3 RANDOM phases.Max token and silver reward.
3.Make tokens count allowing exchange for all types and tiers of gear, food also(flaming pizza in cof for example with bonuses that match dungeon theme).This will make leveling from 1-80 just doing dungeons posible becouse you can get all your weapons,armor and jewels in exchange for tokens.
4.Special skin sets for each dungeon very rare,and more skins in general,maybe even refresh of some existing skins.
And to summarize can you at least tell us which armor will new proffesion use light,medium or heavy
