Hello, one of the problems I’ve been facing for a very long time is that I’ll stop playing for a few months or a year and I’ll come back to find my builds would become obsolete because of balance changes.
I’ve never been one to go for ascended/legendary equipment, I always run with exotics but having to keep buying new sets of exotics and superior runes costs me a lot of karma/gold. I was wondering if perhaps I’m missing an easier way to acquire such equipment to keep up with the ever-changing meta?
I don’t raid or do dungeons, I strictly stick with PvE content or maybe dive into the Edge of the Mists for a little PvP. I usually use WvW or Fractal/Raid builds as a foundation to create PvE builds.

I have the bug too, facets keep turning off as soon as I activate them.
How good/useful would a celestial revenant be in PvE content/raids? I just unlocked the Bo but I don’t want to use it for DD, I’d like to give it to my revenant but it only has 3 stats to choose from (celestial, marauder, and minstrel).
Keep in mind you only need 35% to max boon duration with the herald.
I’m confused, is boon duration really important? Our F2 skill gives us a 50% increase in boon duration. :o
Now that I think about it, Glint does have that regeneration facet I could use. So I could stick with Shiro/Glint since that is revenants main DPS combination, but I could also use it as support through regen.
What would be some good runes for that and what kind of stat combination would I be looking for?
Oh I did not consider boon duration because I thought it wasn’t needed due to our F2 skill. Originally I did want to use ventari’s tablet because it seemed like a really cool playstyle but it seems mediocre from the responses here.
I wonder what my alternatives are.

Hello! I’d like to make a support revenant using the new Crusader stat (Power, toughness, ferocity and healing power).
Something that deals good damage but also has good healing, I suppose a hybrid of both worlds. However, I’m not sure how to go about this and I could use some help from the community.
Thank you
I already had to deal with crashes from the 32 bit client, which seemed to have be remedied in the 64 bit client but now I have to deal with these weird ping fluctuations in full map Dragon’s Stand meta events that can cause disconnects.
I grow tired of being robbed from doing these long meta events and not being able to get back in.
Sadly its still asking me to redownload the game, I guess I’m gonna have to.
Yea its making me redownload the game too and I don’t know why.
Not sure I correctly followed the instructions. I downloaded the GW2 64 bit beta client and dropped it into my GW2 data folder and started the application. But its downloading the entire game again. I’m not sure how to ‘’Update any shortcuts to the game to point to the new file instead.’’

So our map just killed the mouth of mordremoth and on my way up the final updraft to get to the reward chest my game kittening crashes. So I’m like ok, no big deal, I’ll just re-enter and join the map again through my party members. No. I’m met with this kittening error code:
All that work for kittening NOTHING.
I’m just an average player, with average playing time if any of that matters but I’ve been noticing a ’’trend’’ so to speak. While GW2 HoT sparks this thread, it’s not only GW2 that does this, but other games as well. However the focus here will be HoT’s Dragon Stand.
Now I’ve heard of several zergs beating this event chain but so far all zergs I have joined have not been successful. So my perspective is going to be a bit different. Usually what happens is the map chat degrades into an argument or debate, or just a down right brawl. This creates enemies amongst the community and people just leave.
I don’t know if it’s due to the difficulty of the content, or if developers are expecting too much from us players. But one thing is for sure, expecting teamwork and coordination from hundreds of random players to complete certain events in specific time frames is nigh impossible. Do-able yes, but nigh impossible. I don’t mind if some things require some strategy, but when things get too ‘’team work’’ heavy, it puts me off.

Well I made an Insignia on my tailor, but how do I discover it?
Oh I see, so does that mean I need to make a leatherworker to craft marauder gear?
Seems to be a lot of old information mixed with the new, so I’m a bit lost here.
Is it PvP only gear or can I obtain it in PvE and how?
Hello! I’m running a build on my ranger that relies on conditions to do damage, but I’m having a lot of trouble choosing a pet. To be more specific, it is a trapper ranger. I’m using a warthog right now for its forage skill.
Any recommendations would be appreciated
thank you!
I have a portal too but no beta slot or email. I sent in a ticket this morning, hoping to get a reply soon. Unfortunately I’ll be working soon
Hello, I was watching and looking at your build
I noticed the armor that was used in the build are rares. Is the [valkyrie] armor exclusive to rare armor?
Oh..I just realized I missed this part ‘’This is guide is not meant to be used for leveling, open world, sPvP or WvWvW.’’ I can’t believe I just noticed that >.< I just bought a whole berserker set and 6 ranger runes.
Ah I see, hmmm…I don’t remember doing any pvping.
Hello, its been quite some time since I last played guild wars 2 so I don’t know what’s new. I think I stopped playing sometime before the trait revamp.
My ranger uses dwayna runes but I forgot why. >.<
I made a typo and fixed it.
Ah, I didn’t know that and you seem upset with the new changes, I understand. Most of the pets got nerfed. So…
Something I stumbled across when playing with the new update. I run a regen build and with the +20% regen duration from dwayna runes and the +33% duration from traits equals to 53% longer duration. Stack this with the new grandmaster trait Natures Voice for 18 second regen and 10 second quickness, lower shout cooldown 20%, with ’’Guard’’ which now has a cool down of 11 seconds. It seems I can spam ’’Guard’’ to provide an endless source of regen and it stacks. I’m up to 1minute duration regen by spamming ’’Guard’’. Was this intended?

a 5/30/0/0/20 ranger build (Lvl 65 ranger)? Basically a Skirmishing Beastmaster. I normally play a melee ranger but I felt my damage was pitiful and my pet usually kept dying until I changed it into a carrion devourer which I felt was good synergy.
Recently I reset into that skirmishing beastmaster build and when I saw my pet jaguar critting for like 1k+ damage, right then I felt like I should be putting more focus on a beastmaster build.
So I’ve been looking on google for build insight but surprisingly didn’t find any info on a skirmishing beastmaster build. Without power though, I can’t melee can I? What are my options?
I wanted to do the harathi hinterlands runs since I saw videos of tons of people doing the event chains but…its been a ghost town here.
I was reading that farming for vials of blood was a good method to get money, I haven’t tried it yet, or if its even viable anymore. The guide might be old.
I noticed that in the TP, I couldn’t find any level 40 armor with Power/Precision, wonder if its the same for weapons.
Oh alright, thanks :o
Hello, I just reached level 40 and I assume this is a big point in the leveling process. Do I go buy those exotic weapons from the tier 1 karma shop? I could also use some armor, trading post I assume? >.<
I heard there is a nice event chain in Kessex hills that im ’’trying’’ to do but no one is here in this map right now. Any other leveling tips? I’m growing tired of going from map to map doing events and exploring, been doing that for about a week or two and I haven’t been getting a lot of levels.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, it just all seems so unappealing to me
and sadly I have a bad habit of not playing popular characters/classes which hinders me from having fun sometimes.
Hello, I am having trouble picking a class. Right now I main a male char warrior, lvl 36 I believe. The class is getting boring for me, as it doesn’t have anything appealing.
Um..I like melee but with a side of magic, but I also like range. I don’t mind going into battle up close but I also like to support.
Eh, I think I play too much Dark Souls.
I’m just level 31
Oh wow thank guys, this is very informative. I’ve been looking into tank builds for warrior but none of them really list what kind of armor I should be using. Is it Toughness and Vitality armors?
Hello, I finally made it to level 30 on my warrior and I’ve been hearing about these ‘’Ascalonian Catacombs’‘. It seems to be a whole different league and it all sounds very confusing. I just play the game by myself, should I even bother? I’ve been reading up on it and it sounds complicated, along with the different skills I need but I haven’t found any information about warrior builds for the catacombs.

Hello, I recently bought GW2 and I’ve been doing some research online, be it the forums, other sites or the wiki. I’m playing a charr warrior right now and I’m following this build:
http://guildwars2grandmaster.com/builds/warrior-dual-wielding-axes-critical-burst-dps/
Is it any good?
