I know that everyone has been bothered by the seemingly unresolvable bugs that the latest LS update has spawned, both tied to the living story itself (e.g Knights not rewarding the player upon defeat) and not (e.g gifts of exploration not being properly awarded to people who have completed the map’s exploration). However, the last LS update left a very pleasant taste on me thanks to a very simple and tiny detail.
So, a big thanks for the utterly A-MA-ZING music theme for the final showdown taking place onto the Breachmaker. It’s elaborate, epic, and mindblowing. I absolutely love how it changes depending on the phase you’re currently into. My personal favorite part is the final phase when fighting the Ultraviolet Hologram.
Music has been a very solid element of Guild Wars 2 to begin with, and it’s my firm belief that this time the composers really surpassed themselves. I’m cherising this little battle theme, and placing it in my heart among some of the greatest battle themes in the gaming history, especially those featured in popular RPGs like the Final Fantasy franchise (e.g Dancing Mad, Terra’s Theme, FFVII battle theme etc).
