6-7. Everyone seemed to want to get on the roof

9-12: About an hour into the fight, I saw these. It was a moment of funny in a pretty heated battle. No idea who did it, but made me laugh.

“we would have needed more and more point difference to have a better evolution,” Of course you can gain evolution, it is just harder and harder, because GW use the Glicko rating system, you know, the one that we use in chess, and with the Glicko system, you are NOT supposed to match up against someone with a waaaaay lower rating, the system is designed to provide “balanced” matchups, we had it, but then, Anet changed it to Random to provide diversification, hit me up if you have any question regarding the rating system.

Nothing egotistical about it, it’s a point made and that’s all it is. I never began the slurs on whining remember – you did. In all it was a comment made on the style of gameplay noticed on Piken Borders yesterday before I logged off at 12.30. Sure people can play when they want, that’s only right and nobody is making a slur on them or anyone else. The point was though that bringing in that levels of numbers because they were being beaten is pretty kitten poor. I am all for number capping on sides to be honest. Some say it will work, some say it won’t. I am of the school of thought that not only will it curb skill lag by half it will also even out the WvW for playskills rather than who has more numbers at the end of the day. Who knows unless it happens – it may or it may not. Nobody can foretell the future.
But as for servers getting a bad name, well I kind of have to wince at that. There are a great many servers who do have a good reputation, its just unfortunate the ones who do not have; the same names recur a lot with the same accusations. That can’t be co-incidence. But yeah everyone has an opinion, lets leave it at that and hope Anet eventually sorts out the mess WvW is in.

I agree on what you have said, but the way you handle it is purely negative, you know better than me that what you are “pointing out” or “what you have seen in XY EB”, is negative, and you also know that saying it will just spread hatred and will not contribute by any mean to any of the 3 servers, so why ? This is not an issue, there are many players playing at differents timezones, there is only NA and EU servers but you should remember that there are other countries with different timezones too, this is not an “issue”, this is just an advantage a server gets from his players, if you dont have it, you shouldnt be mad about it, everyone, at any timezone, or at any lifestyle (I dunno there are people that wakes up at 3 in the morning, i’ve did that for a month when i was on internship for some reasons ), everyone deserves to play this game, and any negative statement about them is purely egoistic

What you dont get is that this is not about sportsmanship, let’s say SFR is server A and you are server B, server A have 100 guys that WANT to play WvW, server B only have 20, are you telling me that server A should sacrifice 80 of it’s players for the sake of server’s B fun ? This is just not possible, because now, WvW is tied with rewards, it is impossible for server A to get his players leaving for “fairness” if they could have been rewarded instead (Lootbags for everyone, wxp, karma etc… ) and you DONT have to judge them on this, because it is legitimate that they want rewards.

When we fought with Underworld bleed, it was a nice matchup thread besides UW bickering with UW politics and all that in game, and they did have one depressing commander who was pretty negative so maybe your on about him, but from our pov of fighting them and some other servers is that they had something good going on, with lots of potential. Their pug groups weren’t massive, but were the most organised I’ve seen and thus made them difficult/challenging despite them not being the size as most servers we fight. Maybe they don’t reach their full potential, maybe they burn out but so far I haven’t seen anyone match them per a person. True they only had the numbers to fight their own bl(that’s why they lower ranked) but who cares about PPT.

Yes, Underworld is great, the numbers are depressing, this is why i couldnt stay for long, it isnt a server for intensive WvWers that’s all. Everything you say here is purely subjective tho, judging server’s is absurd, these forum warrior guys should just learn to shut up and play, if you have something nice to say about the opposing server, it is welcome, if not, it is pointless to just come here and talk kitten/troll around servers. come on now I didn’t say you are the worse I just said similar to Jade Sea level… when you rely on numbers so much of course it will have a impact on fighting ability… where a Server like Augury just have a amazing fighting spirit forged through very competitive matchup’s and their attitude towards fights… and Underworld were the most organised pug’s I’ve seen from any server and considering ive got the most kills in TUP and played against almost every server… im in a pretty good and almost unique position to judge a server’s fighting ability from my time leading piken nights and time active on Aurora Glade.

cheers for the fights last night was fun, even though general numbers imbalance we like to test ourselves so much better than last week’s dead matchup, atleast your guarenteed some action although sometimes its a bit imbalanced population wise. That ain’t totally viz’s fault (they won’t do what we(some of our guilds) generally do in the lower tiers and not add in even fights) you could say its anet’s match making fault or the fairweathers which every server have who were a plenty last week against servers they know are lower then go hiding against bigger servers…

From what ive seen so far Viz i would put you similar to Jade sea, but still not as strong as servers like Augury Rock and Underworld in terms of fighting ability per a person… not the precious PPT

Not even joking. Lots of people transfered before the start of the summer for an easy faceroll karmatrain. Today the result pains those who have lived on Vizu for long : people not following commanders, highly debatable specs and general lack of vision and spirit.
SFR’s zerg is much much better. Deso’s zerg is better.

That’s why I said most. I know both SFR’s and Deso’s pugs are better than yours, but remember you are up against rank 9 and 13 servers.

Yup, a lot of players are only doing what in their head or even not playing in this matchup, I myself am used to WvW whenever i can, but i’m just taking a break this week, this is why the matchup system must be fixed, we even are losing points and will certainly lose the #1 spot despite the point difference, the matchup is quite boring, no offense to the opposing server’s of course.This kind of matchup is really bad for discipline, and we’ve seen that yesterday on viz EB :/

@Benjamin.6235 I was here on release, and the orb systems isnt the same, orbs were exploitable because you could ninja them, which was fairly easy with a thief or mesmer(or elementalist cant remember ) using some glitches to get to the orbs (The most exploited one was the bay one ). Anyway, they wouldnt have handled it the same way now that the game evolved this far i believe. I’m not defending this buff thingie anyway, just wondering why there is this much people that speak of this without actually testing it, chill down if it is really something that clears WvW of players, it will be fixed asap anyway.

Dranul, I’ll explain a bit why GvG being counterproductive is more interesting than everything else you pointed out, it’s quite simple, you CAN implement a solution for GvG, it is completely conceivable and dev’s already spoke on this, even if they stopped caring right after, 20 less ennemies or more is not contribution, one of the 20 will win the GVG, and could have, maybe, had an impact on the game, guilds ARE meant to fight on WvW, but they are meant to fight in a such way that will make their server the best. As for you last point, i know that guilds will get bored of zerg farming etc, i am not against GvG, just read my posts again.As for names of guilds, you may just ask on your server’s, i only know my server’s guild and i dont plan to denounce names, sorry.

What is the point, that necessitates a manditory buff. Why does the buff become worthless If there was the option to temporarily disable it? Surely the point is simply to give an advantage to your server, but if I wouldn’t begrudge someone if they wanted to disable the buff for a quick duel. I wouldn’t say the GvG community shows no consideration to the WvW community, they just want to get their own separate platform in order to stop these arguments. And there are also a lot of players in these GvG guilds with hundreds of siege blueprints (For example I know ME has hundreds of each blueprint in the Gbank for everyone to use let alone what each player carries on person) so I’m not sure about this point your making. And yes GvG players do take up queues but there’s nothing they can do about it, and you say we do it for fun (which is true) so who would be so ignorant to deny gamers fun? It’s quite stupid.

I didnt say this, i told on my first post that i am quite neutral regarding this new buff and the GvG stuff, i am just telling that GvG, actually, is poor design (By players, because there is anything we can do about it ), GvG is indeed lots of fun, but it is egoistic in regards of the really involved WvW players. My point is not GvG being good or bad, i am mostly trying to tell you guys that you should stop asking for GvG QoL/Optimisation changes, and focus on doing some real GvG mode petitions, because GvG in its actual states could (And it depends on the guilds/servers ) hurt the WvW scene.

It’s not that we are calibrating WvW around anything it’s that anet are implementing these changes while not considering the impacts it could have on the GvG community (or they are and ignoring them) either way the obsidian sanctum will most likely be the only solution but it’s not a good one because of the queues and the terrain.

Also moving down to lower tiers is not a good option either because these guilds still run WvW every day and the lower tiers will be boring. It will take a lot of cooperation between guilds to move everyone down the ladder in order to have some even fights.

Guys, stop whining, i know i’m going to get rocks thrown at me, but i’m just trying to be honest.First of all, even though we’ve seen previews of the buff system, we have never tested it ourselves, dont kitten on something you have never had the occasion to try, i highly doubt that servers will go for the 3 buffs, or maybe just the first week, secondly, wvw was never about fair fights, what about the upleveled people ? What about people who can afford high cost/effective food ? What about level 300+ people with power/cond dmg/vitality buffs from Wxp ranks ? What about people that can afford ascended thingies and some peoples staying on a mix of rare/exos ? What about the gold cost on omega’s making it much easier to stack/do golem ops on server’s with some rich people in ? Seriously guys, if you want balance, go to sPvp, if you’re whining for the GvG, GvG is quite bad for the wvw community point wise, so it’s against WvW rules anyway, even though i enjoy it and many people do, if it’s for the GvG, wait for a GvG mode, we will eventually get it, the game is evolving at a fast pace, so yeah trust me, we’ll get it. Anyway, i hope i made my point, dont hate on me for just saying what is WvW, wvw is war, if you can get victory, you have to, by any means. Good luck and have fun everyone.

I am really sorry for all those coky viz player’s saying you can’t beat us, congrats to both SFR and deso, desolation was great those last nights, and SFR just showed why they are #2, i really thought SFR would win this matchup, and that could still happen, congrats to you guys, you have really high WvW committement and implication and your guild’s coverage is pretty scary(We need some more guilds on viz it seems ), well, at last, congratulation to vizunah, i have been scared by how we caught up, 3 days ago i wouldnt have imagined that we could catch up to SFR. Anyway, i just wanted to point out that,at last, this game is not about daycapping or nightcapping, that’s not how you make points, you really only can win when you have high committement, when you get your players implicated, when the server’s players are involved on WvW, and that is why i congratulate vizunah players, they really knew when to come by, and they believed in a comeback, I really hope we win this matchup, means a lot to me.

So much rage going on this thread, you guys just need to accept, VS actually plays the game as it is designed, you know, if you dont like that, you could just suggest some WvW improvement ideas to Anet, it’s their game anyway, seems like people can’t accept that a server THAT is actually playing the game wins. You know, WvW is just like war, ANYTHING could be used to win, anything, even spies are considered a good tool on war, and i think that applies to WvW as well, cheating is, of course, not part of that, as Anet clearly stated that it is bannable. Anyway, just stop the drama guys, earn some more self respect and stop whining, that was a relatively good week for all 3 of us, i think everyone learnt at least something useful this week, and that is a blessing for us all.
