So, I logged a ticket for this issue over the weekend and did some troublehooting with support.

I think the error code is a general error code for losing connection to the server, so even though we’re all getting this error, different users have different causes, which is why there hasn’t been a single fix.

My issue was fixed simply by connecting using a LAN cable rather than my wifi. No idea why I started losing packets over wireless all of a sudden, but in my case, it clearly is something on my end.

Getting same error about every 5-15 minutes, started happening today. Have tried rebooting my modem/router, did nothing to help.

Ridiculous that I had to wait more than a year and half for it, but I FINALLY got the helm I wanted (seriously, Anet…)

Yeah, wouldn’t hold my breath on a response from Anet if I were you. Not a single Anet employee has commented on any of the PvP-only skins issue in over a year of it being discussed on the forum.

I suppose there’s a minuscule chance they could use them for ascended armor skins when they come out, but I highly doubt it.

Same. I have an unused Dragon’s Jade staff skin that won’t allow me to post to the BLTC.

I think it’s more likely that because they can’t do this, they don’t give a crap.

The worst part is that I got the Stalwart helm as a random PvP item from an acheivement chest, just taunting me.

You know what’s especially annoying? They are going out their way to create a bunch of new skins… and still can’t be bothered to make these ones available! Of all the content they could add, this would have to among the easiest.

Add them already, Anet. It’s been almost a year already!

PvP to PvE transmutation stones/crystals. Want these so badly!

I’d just like to have this issue at least acknowledged by someone at Anet. I’ve been posting about the Stalwart helm since launch, and in all this time, not a single mention.

Very frustrating.

All I want is for PvE versions of the armors that are currently only available for PvP. It would be so easy to make them available, and yet I know they wont.

Sure, I knew the risks with RNG, so I’m not upset, but I think there was a reasonable expectation that the rich coffers would give a good chance at getting tickets, given the 2 tier coffer setup, or else why bother doing it?

I’m fully on-board with the boycott of chests going forward. NCSoft/Anet could have milked me on these things for years if they weren ’t so absolutely greedy about it in the early going.

I’m not even bothering with the regular coffers anymore, I just sell them on the TP for a decent profit to recover some of my losses.

Here’s my elementalist. She was my first character until I made a thief, but now she’s back to being my main. I like this armor combo quite a bit

I do agree, however, that account bound minis are a bad idea.

Dude seriously? What’s your malfunction here, you don’t have to buy anything to get anything. People wanting the gem store minis have a good chance to get them. People who want to get the 2 possible minis for the options. All you have to do is the Tixx dungeon once a day to get those mini’s and the mats to make them. Missed a day? There will be repeats that should allow you to get the ones you missed. But as for this claim that only the rich can have fun, seriously? I spent $20 on boxes and got 4 minis, kept the snowman and used the rest for Foostivoo. That was by choice.

As for mats being “ridiculous amounts of gold” that’s the playerbase setting those prices. And as I said above, do the run each day you have the mats to make 2 minis. Also there was no promise that each gift location would have a gift but that it had the potential to have a gift. The tonics are optional. The minis, optional. Is it a let down to not get an optional item? No. Its part of the game.

Overall the only scrooge I can tell around here is you. You’re just mad because you can’t get every little thing your way and as result you’re throwing a tantrum and degrading a wonderful Wintersday. The events are fun and frankly can’t wait to see what’s next.

Not even the entire point. Another point being the RNG, account-bound minis that were promised to be rare drops from mobs – yet I’ve yet to see anyone actually get one from a mob. Want a cool bell? Spend 300g. Want some cool items? Spend 500 gems. Want some gems? Pay over 2 gold for 100 gems. Yeah, most players even that save up don’t have that kind of cash lying around.

Not to mention you get 2 miniatures by playing the game – the other 3 are 350 gems each if you want them. The Quaggen? I luckily got mine, the other 3? Good luck. You’ll never be able to get an extra from a friend either since they’re account bound.

There’s a lot of “want, want, want”, but no “need”. Really, get over yourselves.

Honestly, I have enjoyed the hell out this event. Certainly more than Halloween. I’ll admit, I’ve spent about $40 in gems getting the fancy winter outfit, hat, earmuff and Foostivoo, so it’s a fair complaint that it’s virtually impossible for the average player to get all of that by converting in-game gold, but it’s all fluff. They still make some things free, and things like the hats don’t cost very much.

Seriously, it’s just fluff. Enjoy the stuff you can get. I still enjoyed Halloween even though getting the cool weapons and skins didn’t happen for me.

Re-adding the armor sets and missing armor pieces that were removed from PvE that are available in PvP, as karma rewards or dungeon rewards, and makeover kits
It doesn’t make sense to add brand new armor sets when there’s already a bunch (arguably some of the best) that have already been made that we can’t even get as it is.

Unfortunately, they are not currently available outside of PvP.

I can’t remember if gloves with the Stalwart name were one of the story rewards or not, but I do know that if they are, it doesn’t use the proper skin anyway.

I’ve definitely noticed an increase in dye drops, I think it’s great.

So what do you think the chances are that some of the new rewards found in the Lost shores are the armor sets available in the PvP locker that aren’t available in PvE?

You can get the chest piece as a story reward. After that, there are a few other story rewards that have the name “Stalwart”, but the actual skin is not the same (I think it’s plain studded leather, IIRC). The head piece is not available anywhere currently in PvE, and honestly who knows if Anet knows or even gives a crap.

I reported this issue 2 weeks after the game was released, but I guess it’s not a priority for them. It affects the Storm Eye and presumably the others as well.

Yeah, it would be really nice to have someone from Anet at least acknowledge that these pieces are not available…

you sure you have this hat, in PvE? If so, please post a screenshot along with the name, and if you can remember, how you got it. I want this head piece so badly!

Ok, this is the kind of confusion and misinformation that’s been driving me crazy the past couple of weeks.

Is it, or isn’t it?

My thief is only level 64 right now, so I haven’t gotten far enough to verify, but apparently the helm available from the lvl 73 reward is not the same one as shown in the picture, but is a pirate mask instead.

If someone with Anet happens to read this: Make this helm available in PvE, please.

I really wish Anet would say either way whether these missing armor sets are available for PvE, because it’s really frustrating. This set, the Commando medium set (helm), and there’s a really nice light armor set that looks perfect for female mesmers.

I pretty much just come to the forums hoping that one day someone will discover some recipe to create them in the mystic forge, which is frustrating as hell. Also, there’s a good chance even if someone does find a recipe, they’ll just horde it to themselves anyway.

Yeah, even the story reward items are called Commando.

Not thrilled with the options, but there is one set I actually really like the look of, which I’ve been going off on for the past couple days, that doesn’t even appear to be fully available for PvE…

Seriously, Commando’s Helm— the hat and mask is used for 2 PvP sets, and IMO looks the best of all the medium armor, and Anet doesn’t even make it available outside of the Mists? It’s not craftable, you can’t earn it, and it doesn’t appear to have dropped for anyone in over a month. Really?

Might as well ask here as well, but did you guys happen to get the proper Commando head piece with the hat at some point?

I’m also trying to find any info about this armor for my thief. Apparently, the chest, leggings and a few other pieces are given as story rewards in the late level 70’s, but the head piece you can get isn’t the same one as shown in the screenshot, which is also used for the PvP Stalwart set, of which there is even less info available for in PvE

Everything about this set is a confusing mess, and thanks to Anet’s april fool’s joke, it’s hard to find anything about it.

I had the same issue with the Storm Eye. I logged a ticket, and got a response saying to send a ticket in-game, which I did, but it specifically says not to expect a response when logging the in-game ticket. I don’t have a great deal of hope this will get fixed any time soon

There is a tricorn hat model, you can see it on a lot of Lionguard NPCs and you can preview it in the PvP locker (I think it’s called PvP Conquest Helm or something like that), but to my knowledge nobody has ever found a way to acquire it for PvE.

Indeed, it’s killing me that no one seems to know where to find this head piece.

Haven’t looked at it in the PvP vendor, but on one of the sites that show all the PvP armors, it looks like it’s used for 2 different PvPsets, Commando and Stalwart.
