Agree with this post.
I personally also bind turn left and right so my keys are WASD and QE with the last two being my strafe keys. I don’t know if I use them or not since I’ve PC games so long movement is just like second nature. Also I haven’t found many situations where I’ve needed to use anything other than my current binds. I’ve either been moving left or right or forwards and backwards on my engineer in WvW. If I need to mouse turn I assume I am just not tossing nades at that time.
the problem with rewards for the escort event is how to evaluate participation..
either you set the bar too low and ppl that just run by the yak eventually get a reward when it’s done..
or the rewards only trigger if enemies were within range of the yak, which would mean that you most of the time you spend 5 minutes escorting a yak, no one shows up to attack it, you don’t get a reward, ppl come back here to complain anyway.
The rewards should be comensurate to how long you escort it along it’s path. From the supply camp to the destination is full rewards and you diminish it from there.
Thing is, I’m curious as to whether the cause for the “noticeable presence” is actually because their numbers are making an effect, or because Mag/Yaks just didn’t field as many players.
It’s either this or we go back to the chest-thumping or whining that has become commonplace :P
Probably a bit of both. I’ve logged into WvW once this week on reset night. I am personally refraining from WvWvW to help ensure DB’s rise to T2 (not that one person makes that much difference). Nobody likess fighting outnumbered all the time or losing because most people on their server are asleep when the other server PvDs them down for points due to better coverage.
p.s. It also didn’t help that DB recently got an influx of transfers that stacked the population imbalance even more which I think shows in the discrepancy of this weeks score so far.

You get WXP for killing the dolyaks which, in most cases, is a lot easier. Yet nothing for escorting.. It just makes no sense to me.
I agree. I recently came back and was surprised at the rewards that were removed from WvWvW like Dolyak escorting.
Tell yourself that if it makes you feel better.
I’m telling you that to make you feel better, to be honest. I don’t need to feel better, we’re already winning the tier.
Except I don’t feel bad. You apparently felt bad from my original response and tried to deflect by saying that all servers have the same asian/oceanic population in an effort to put us on equal ground throughout the day in order to make your victory less hollow; which clearly isn’t true.
Everyone on DB can take credit for what DB has achieved, because everyone helped by one way or another.
And there is no such thing as an “Asian server”. Every server has more or less the same amount of Asiatic players, just that some of them are more into PvE or other aspects of the game.
Tell yourself that if it makes you feel better.
DB is all numbers little substance.
And Mag is all excuses little skill.
I looked at this and laughed:
http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/35/30Despite having the biggest NA presence, Mags were hardly in lead during NA prime time until Tuesday when DB eased up a bit, victory within the tier assured.
Says a lot about the skill (or lack, thereof) of the elite Mag NA zerg
Despite being the most skilled and swag presence, Mag has also been the most empathetic in the matchup, easing up since Friday, sensitive victory within the tier assured.
We wouldn’t want to harm the already bruised ego of NA DB, as the only players of the server who get mentioned are the SEA pvd zergbots.
Correct. I think it’s pretty funny how quick the DB NA players are to take credit for what their US time zone earlier morning crew does on what basically amounts to being on an asian server.
Zergs were never called armies don’t try to legitimize it more than the game already does.
Dear fool, I am not speaking just about this game. Armies are masses of people gathered together for the same belligerent purpose. kitten like you use the term as some sort of pejorative to describe enemies who have more numbers than you causing you to lose. Call it a zerg if you want but it’s a stupid and overused term used by people who are angry that they are outnumbered..
Technically I think “Army” implies some sort of organization is involved. Zerg is a more accurate term to describe the mindless 80 man masses that we see in WvW. Either way, a zerg is a zerg. If I’m rolling with 70 friendlies and stomping enemies, it’s still a zerg. And still boring.
Even when I’m winning in a zerg I find it so boring that I’d prefer to go solo, throwing myself into groups of 5 and seeing how many I can down before they kill me. Even that’s more interesting to me than rolling around mindlessly spamming skills and hoping you hit something.
Here’s the thing about people who call others “zergers”; they tend to have no idea how much organization and coordination is involved in the enemies movements because you can’t get close enough without becoming a target and have no idea about what is going on in their ventrilo/teamspeak/mumble comms. People who die to a mass of enemies just call it a zerg as a pejorative to make themselves feels better about losing as if somehow it makes it better because at least they and not the enemy was playing in an organized manner when they really don’t know.
Anyway I’m done arguing semantics. The purpose of my original post wasn’t to derail the thread.

I remember when zergs were called armies.
