Just want to add to the growing list here. Have 100% world completion. Verdant gave me nothing on 100% completion.

Now i don’t really mind about rewards to be honest, except for the fact that you NEED the x-cache in order to complete your elite ascended weapon, so it’s kind of a devastating

I got pretty upset after finding out that fractals does NOT reset, meaning i’m stuck at lvl 1 and unable to find people to do fractals with because everyone is already at 2+

And lets face it; noone will ever do lvl 1 if they are paste it..noone.

The entire system design goes against everything this game was suppose to not be and i’m very disapointed.

Not even a cross server lfg tool is in place making this entire system even worse (if that is even possible)

Up till now it was my believe that they DID reset each week, making it so that it would always be easy to find people, because you could just wait for next reset and then start.

Dear anet, you have just completely fragmented your player base and lost tons of people with this move, i for one have no intentions of logging back into the game.

I actually concider everything NOT 60fps, laggy and not playable, i’d rather not play then play with less then 60fps. Just a few fps drops like from 60 →56 and i can feel it instantly. is also why i dont do wvw.

Building a somewhat decent gaming rig is not that expensive anymore, i remember just 3-5 years ago i’d have to sell my firstborn just to be able to run anything other then a spreadsheet.

Just to save anyone reading this the pain.. its STILL bugged ! (8th nov. 9:30 cet)

Actually the worst part for me is not the bug or even the storyline i’ve done it several times. however, i cant hide the storyline text up in the top right corner so i’m getting taunted in the face every.single.time i play :’(

do a refresh of the system and the problem is gone, did the same and np since, i still suspect that razer program to be the problem.

i have found 2 things myself:
1. use 304.79 driver.
2. turn off reflections.

I dunno if you run with Nvidia cards, but seriously the drivers they have put out have gone from bad to worse lately.

i have noticed a disturbing trend with Nvidia drivers lately though, the newer the driver, the worse the performance, at least for my 500 series cards.

i run with 2 × 570′s and it’s smooth sailing on win 8 (i use the 304.79 driver still) i’d blame nvidia and your 680

The keystroke problem is (likely) due to razer synapse, i uninstalled it (and a few other things) and i’ve had 0 problem since on win 8 pro 64bit.

I did the refresh system thingy in win 8 that pretty much revert it to default and the problem went away, and i only had a handfull of stuff installed.

alot of crashes is due to graphic drivers, especially the newest from nvidia is causing problems in several games, i’m still rocking the 304.79 driver since it gives far superior performance over any other driver

regarding the crash i think if you do a repair it should fix that, game seems to be missing some files.

I remember i had thise annoying lagspikes constantly, then i reinstalled windows and i had np, was pretty odd. was most likely because of firewall or something.

i have same problem and i’ve made post in every beta forum, regarding both minimap AND chatbox. the chatbox doesnt even exspand horizontal more then like 2cm its a tiny tiny box on a 1440p monitor is still annoying me greatly every day

I’m on win 8 as well and i have 0 problems, maybe its something else ? are you by any change using that razer synopse thingy ? i had problem with keytroke not registrering and after uninstall there is 0 problems.

Anyway i reverted back to a clean install and there is no problems, so your problem might as well be another driver as well. or that firewall rule didnt get added and so on

i’ve heard many with 680’s complain, i think it’s just as much a driver problem tbh.

Currently the only driver that gives me stable 60 fps is the 304.79 driver. the newer the driver the worse, i dunno what nvidia is doing each driver update but its not for the better, at least not on my 2 570’s

And turn of reflections, it completely ruins the fps, at least for me, can get 60 fps in LA as long as reflection is off – everything else on high.

Also something seems to be wrong with sli or my i5 2500k is to weak to feed gfx cards cause i’m rarely over 50% usage.

On a sidenote i highly recommend the samsung SA850T 1440p monitor its amazing xD

Concidering this is a gamebreaking bug, i’m surprised the fix is still not in. i’ve not had much time to play, but my ranger have been 80 at least a week now, and i’m still stuck at this mission for personal story

been playing on win 8 now for around a week and it works fine.

Got the same problem, i submitted a in-game report after repeating the story 2 times and getting stuck same place.

My theory is that thicaki is to devastated to go on after tikittas unfortunate dead and thereby making the entire story hanging in idle. kitten skritt’s!

Normally my FPS is at 30-60
never anything under that.. until this update

Use the 304.79 driver, it works the best with that card, i know cause my brother got it and are reporting success with stable 60 with “normal pve play” in general for the 500 series the 304.79 driver seems the best, got 2 570 myself and so far after trying like 8 different drivers the above mentioned one comes out the best.

Ok so this started actually way back, around a week after official release. I’ve played beta for maybe 100 hours with no problem inc. headstart.

Basicly its whenever the edges gets trickered, the red/green/black border on screen, it will send me from stable 60fps down to maybe 45 and game feels very sluggish, i then have to alt-tab out and wait 5-10 sec then maximize again and its back at 60 fps.

I got a feeling it might be related to sli, but i’ve not read anyone having this issue so far.
(i can’t really test it since 1 card only give me 40’ish fps cause i run in 1440p)

i’ve tried at least 8 drivers, from current and around 1 year back and its the same on all versions, i’ve defragged harddisk and reinstalled game and nothing fixes this.

I was hoping someone might have heard of this issue somewhere and if there might be a fix around for it.

Just to clarify; it has nothing to do with overall low performance, heating or old computer. (got the i5 2500k + 2 x gtx 570)

Well i got a i5 2500k as well and 2 × 570 cards running in 2560 × 1440p and i get stable 60 fps with v-sync. (up to around 50 players going crazy then it drops) sounds to me more like a driver problem, i’ve read of many that got problems with the 680

It still seems like very low fps for that system, without vsync you should be pulling like 100+ and at least 60fps stable with v-sync.

I can confirm what Death by Chickens.6902 wrote indeed does the trick.
After reaching first objective if you do not follow the path and take shortcut through that hut/jump over barricade it WILL bug, you must stay on the path otherwise treahern’s script dont continue. there is a green huge arrow on map you must follow that along the path and wait for attack from behind and then the barricade gets destroyed infront of you on the path and the script rolls on.
in short; reason it bugs is if you take shortcut through the hut and jump over barricade..it should be easy to fix this by completely blocking the barricades, so you are forced to wait on the path for the attack from behind.

I HAVE THE FIX (seriously)

Don’t listen to any other theories. This is it. I posted it in the other thread, but I want everyone to see. I guarantee this will work. The quest isn’t technically broken if you take your time. If you rush through this particular part though…

~ After searching the first objective for survivors, you need to actually fight the risen that spawn as you work your way to the 1st group of researchers. DO NOT just rush up the hill, ignoring the risen, to the next quest objective. I believe if the player (or more likely, Trahearne) are in combat when activating this step of the quest, it breaks the rest. ~

I played this mission properly on my necro. Took my time, killed everything. No problem. On my alt I tried to rush through, not fighting the risen between the first objective and the 1st group of researchers. Every single time the quest broke the same way – the 2nd team of researchers won’t follow. You know when you’ve done it right, because Trahearne should say, upon reaching the 1st group, “The next wave will face soldiers, not scholars” or something akin to that.

I’m gonna test your theory and report back shortly

It bugs out every single time. i’ve done this 3 times now and i’m NOT a happy person atm

I’ve submitted 3 bug reports now i’m not sure what else i can do to provide feedback

NO transmute stones are working currently inc HoM’s have posted several bug reports about it as well

i have submitted 2 bug reports for this mission now (yesterday) i was able to reproduce the same problem 2 times in a row, gixx and co. does not follow, so the next step with breaking down the wall does not start. and as i wrote i’ve repeated this 2 times in a row. will try it yet another time later today.

before the patch (yesterday) i did this on guardian and i had np with it.

Hello i just wanted to add to this post, since about a week ago, i started getting 3-5 secs lagspikes every 30-60 sec or so, it just hangs and then goes back to normal, i suspect it has something to do with raising the player cap or something ?

I played during all betas and all stress test + headstart without any problems. also i’ve had same very stable and fast landline for the last 4 years.

Edit: as some other mentions, time of day plays no role. its a constant 3-5 secs lag every min or so.
