Hello, so I’ve been playing as a condi druid (Viper) for the past month in T4 fractals and have been doing fairly well. However, when it comes to Aquatic, I’m not quite sure how to go about with underwater rotation and as a result I’ve been bringing my Necro instead since I’m confident in using her there.

Are there any tips on using the condi build underwater? Would I be better off just switching druid trait for something else entirely since glyphs don’t work underwater? Or is a condi ranger simply too ineffective to bring for a T4 Aquatic? And if it is viable, are there any suggested pets and utilities as well as rotation to use?

I’m having the same exact issue as well on my end after the patch. I was playing just fine last night, but now I’m even having trouble doing the simplest things like moving stuff around my inventory. Even using a waypoint can take ages. The lag is incomparable to the ones I’ve experienced before the patch and kind of makes it unplayable.

As stated in the first post, I’m trying to avoid 10% boon utilities which is why I’m not following the meta builds and asking advice on the 2 builds proposed.

I assumed when he said “I understand you want to avoid the expensive food” he meant utilities since boon food isn’t exactly expensive; which in turn confuses me about the builds he posted since they don’t hit the 100% boon mark.

Ah, thought I responded to this, but looking at the build you provided, it doesn’t look like you’d be getting 100% boon duration. 62% (gear and food) + 33% (Sig of Concentration) adds up to only 95%, am I not supposed to aim for 100%?

You can ignore the utility skills/traits, planning to use the Inspiration/Domination build in qT. Also note that I’m trying to avoid using 10% utilities with these builds so they aren’t exactly min-max meta. So with all that in mind I’ve come up with these two builds:

I’m sort of leaning towards the 2nd build because I feel like it would be a lot more lenient on the timing of boon sharing since I won’t have spam upon weapon swap with how it’s already at 100% boon duration. I’ve also been hearing a lot of people saying that Mesmer damage is pretty bad, but also been hearing that every little counts so I’m really not sure about which path to take. I already have a full comm armor set and have 6x leaderships ready to slot. As usual, thanks for the advice in advance!

Edit: Forgot to mention, but I believe I’ll be doing most of the tanking for the group.

Ah, should have mentioned you can completely ignore the skills on that build, was just editing the gear from someone else’s build to fit my needs haha. Thanks for the advice tho!

Note: I plan to use 2 Blood Ruby Bands attuning one and not the other. As for the leadership runes, I’m halfway there so it isn’t really an issue for acquisition. I know this isn’t exactly min-max, but wanted to know whether it would be performing decently in a raid scenario (Ignoring Superior Sigil of Concentration) before going ahead and making it.

So… are you saying that I should be going Monk Rune over Scholar? Or are you saying I should switch between them as necessary (which in my opinion seems more expensive in the long run). If you’re referring to Zealot Trinkets being expensive, I can just get them via Bloodstone Fen/Ember Bay (Have tons of rubies and petrified wood) which leaves a ring and an accessory to my discretion.

Also you mentioned jewelry as an alternative, but which stats did you have in mind (Cleric, Magi, Apoth, Zealot)?

Hello, so I was looking at metabattle builds (http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Druid_-_Power_Glyph_Buffer) and was wondering whether using Zealot as an alternative to the Berserker gear is a good idea? Would trading the ferocity for healing be a massive drop in dps? Or does that meta setup provide good enough heals for the usual PUG? I plan to use this build mostly for Fractals and Raids and kind of just want to build one set of ascended gear for now.

Hello, so with boon thieves gone I was wondering if using commander gear to buff allies in T4 fractals is worth doing? Or is the dps loss too massive for it to be worth doing?

Sigh… apparently you can only do this achievement on a character who has already finished the story. Been doing it on my other characters since they could still get rewards. Thought as long as the achievement wasn’t hidden anymore you could do it on any character.

Hello, so I’ve been trying to get this achievement for the past 2-3 hours and can’t seem to get it. I’ve safely escorted the two soldiers multiple times on several different characters (did it on my ele, guardian, and mesmer) and the game just won’t give me the achievement. I’ve done it without myself dying too. Are the soldiers just supposed to not be hit or something?

It’s especially frustrating since you have to wait through a 3 minute battle after safely escorting the soldiers to figure out if you get the achievement.

So I’ve been wanting to get rid of the lv80 booster to free up a shared inventory slot for a while. I plan to level both of them to max eventually and do 100% world completion. So, I guess my question would be: which class is more of a hassle to level up in the open world; doing personal stories and map completion for levels.

Note: if it factors in, I have a maxed level guardian, mesmer, and elementalist so far.

So I’ve been thinking of rolling a class from the Heavy Armor side and can’t really decide on which of the two to go with. So far I have a level 80 Mesmer and Elementalist and I wanted to try something that can actually take some direct damage without dying. Keeping in mind the recent “balancing” of classes, I wanted to know which of the two is in a better position for PvE, specifically for Fractals and Raids.

Thanks a lot! That was very informative! I made most of my gold by selling crafting material so I ended up having more than enough to just purchase the cheaper set. I did consider the temple armor set, but the amount of Karma required would take too long for me to accumulate; especially since it’s my first character.

So my first action after reaching level 80 is to gear myself. While looking in the TP I noticed that there are usually two equips that have the same exact stats, but with one valued significantly higher. For example, as an Elementalist I’m looking at the Zhed’s set and the berserker’s exalted set which have the same stat, but the latter is valued higher in TP. Is this because the latter is craftable? And if so, what makes it worth that much more?
