LMFAO what a bunch of whiny stick in the mud. Its a April fools joke which happens every year so get over it!
try unloosing those neck bolts a bit you may find you like it.Nyaaaaoooowwwwww up, up and away!!
All I asked for was a toggle. I really don’t think that’s “whining”.
Just a simple request, doesn’t have to be turned into a fight between those who like it and those who don’t.
If the option is there, then the ones that like it can leave it on, the ones that don’t can turn it off. Simple.
For me? Well, I guess I’ll just have to wait until Thursday to play again.
Please give us an option to turn events, like April Fools, off. It was cute at first but it makes the game unplayable, especially PvP and WvW.
Currently, the only way to change a hair accessory color is via a makeover kit. Not sure if this intentional or not, but it currently costs 350 gems (~$4.40 USD) to be able to do that. I can understand paying that to want to do a complete makeover, but just to be able to change your accessory color is a little high.
I suggest adding the accessory to the Dye Mode available via the character panel.
I seem to be losing audio after I speak to an NPC that takes me to the map screen or for a cut scene. I have to exit and re-enter the game to get it working again. Filed a bug report.
I checked my audio settings and they are fine.
This started with today’s update.
I was finally able to complete it with assistance from a level 71. But even he said he couldn’t solo it at his level.
All that says is “We know about it, we’re working on it, and we’ll get it fixed…eventually”.
Reports submitted. And it seems to be contagious because it’s starting to spread to other zones, and now it’s not only the DE’s that are breaking, some skill challenges aren’t working now either.
Oh, and as a side note, I was finally able to finish “Defend the Beach” by avoiding the beach itself and using ranged weapons to drag them further onshore. Took a while, though. I didn’t have to have any fighters or tacticians standing.
The quality of the story quests seems to degrade with time, as if they aren’t finished.
It certainly seems that way. I’ve had nothing problems with this quest line since the 30’s. And, as I progress, the bugs seem to get worse and worse. I actually had a shark chasing me down a tunnel in three inches of water. I had to have a level 71 help me with another storyline instance because it was impossible to do solo. And with this instance, I spent a good hour – if not more – trying to get it completed because it was bugged.
It seems that the higher I go in level, the events, the instances, the general terrain and everything else only gets worse and worse. Additionally, it seems like I’ve been in areas that aren’t even complete yet because I had NPC’s falling through floors, disappearing into walls…heck, I even had to restart one instance because my escort died and fell into a wall, and I was unable to revive him (and the sad part was that I was done with the instance).
Very frustrating to say the least. Game still needs a lot more polishing. Should have held off another month or two more IMHO.
P.S. I am a 47, near 48, Warrior with 45+ gear and weapons.
…my brains out.
“Set to Blow” has to be near to impossible to complete solo. I’ve tried all of the suggestions here and on other forums, and I cannot complete it.
First off, spawning 10-15 mobs on top of you at once in the beginning leads you dying about 5 times. Then, before you can even get them down, the #$%^(*& Queen spawns.
If you happen to get all of the spawns down, you’ll never get the queen down.
There isn’t enough move around to range the Queen, forget melee.
The NPC’s die like they are wet paper napkins.
Even if you have the NPC’s up, she seems to ALWAYS target you, even if you’re trying to rez.
All of the NPC’s always end up dying around the queen making it impossible to rez them.
She drops dots every few seconds making it nearly impossible to move around.
If you go two feet out of the small area you have to work in, she resets.
On top of that, she’s level 50, yet this is a level 47 instance, so I am already 3 levels behind her which means I will most likely be doing very little damage to her to begin with.
But, apparently others are having problems with it as well, and they are in their 50’s, 60’s and one was even a level 80.
I am trying to level up my Warrior in the Fields of Ruin but am finding it very difficult to do so because SO many events are broken there, some of which are affecting my storyline.
Please fix these events.
During the Norn storyline while talking to Eir Stegalkin, referring to the Jotun, she mentions something about how great the Jotun were and how arrogant they had become. Does anyone have that quote?
+1 for the restarts. There are some zones where there are multiple DE’s that are stuck or do not work at all. I saw a Champion continuously doing knockbacks in one spot yesterday, and you couldn’t get close to him because he would just knock you back. On top of that, he was stuck in one spot and would not move.
As far as the Ranger’s pets go, we need a way to stow them when we don’t want to use them. It seems if we 1) leave the water, 2) take fall damage or 3) are attacked, they pop up. There are times when we’re not going to want to be forced to deal with them (like in Dungeons), so it would be nice to be able to “turn them off” and keep them off when needed.
I don’t normally report bots, but when they start affecting my gameplay, then there’s a problem. For DAYS, bots have been sitting at the bridge in Kessex killing of waves of Tamini that spawn every few minutes.
They are making it impossible to get anything done there as there are so many of them that you don’t see the spawns until they are, literally, on top of you.
I’ve reported the bots many times, but the problem still persists day after day. The GM’s HAVE to know it’s going on. Makes you wonder if they even care…

No matter what profession or race I play, I always seem to find myself, for example, at level 25 fighting level 28 mobs. It seems I am ahead of myself in zones, yet I am below the zone’s recommended level by, sometimes, two to three levels.
I’m clearing the maps, I’m doing events, killing tons of mobs and I craft when I can (but am not a big fan of it), yet I still get stuck several levels below where I need to be and, like I said, it seems to happen on every character. I feel if I continue on, the level gap is going to continue to become wider and wider until the point that I am fighting level 80 mobs with my level 70 character.
Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
I’ve tried taking my character into other race’s zones, but I wouldn’t know were to start
Limit the number of items that can be ordered per account on the BLTC

I went to sell some 8 Slot Reinforced Bronze Boxes on the BLTC, and noticed that there was an order by ONE buyer for 223 of these things at the highest buyer price of 44 copper per unit. Seriously, who needs 223 8 Slot Reinforced Bronze Boxes?
Of course, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this. I’ve seen orders for other items that go into the thousands.
It’s obvious that people are just putting orders for hundreds or thousands of these and other items on the BLTC for two reasons:
1. To force the prices down and keep them down, and;
2. To “order” all of these units at the low prices so they can turn around and sell them at a higher price.
For that, I think there should be a limit to the number of items you can order on the BLTC.
So, I decided to jump in to PvP play the other day on my 30 Warrior.
After spending a bit of time there and ranking up, I decided to go to the Rank vendor and see what I could get.
Nothing.
Everything I looked at required that I be level 80 to use it.
So, what’s the sense in even playing in PvP or WvW before 80 if we can’t even acquire things to use unless we are 80?
I think that they just need to put better loot in the chests. The transformation things are pointless, as well as xp stuff for killing mobs because the normal xp is so small anyhow.
Agreed. The tonics are useless unless you’re in to role-playing, and I don’t even see role-players using them that much. The boosts are useless as well, we level up fast enough as it is.
If I am going to transitively pay real-world money to buy a key for a chest, there should be something more than the three pre-determined items we will get (two of which are useless, and the other of which is somewhat useable). Plus, there’s no “excitement” in opening them when you know you’re going to get a tonic, a boost and an item every time.
As for the keys issue, I’ve gotten a key from every chest I have opened. So I currently have five keys and no chests, but am sure the next chest will have another key.
