Why would anybody want to reclain Ascalon?What’s in there? A bunch of human tombs and ruins ,arid plains and the centre of Charr society.

What benefit whatsoever would anyone have to risk open war with the now diplomatic and friendly charr just to claim some wasteland?

Anyone who goes to war with the charr would lose far more than he would gain if he takes over Ascalon. Only some kitten would do that.And temporarily at that. Even if by some miracle the charr are defeated in a pitched battle and they retreat,later the cost of keeping Ascalon while under charr harassment and skirmishes would ruin any nation/faction/race or w/e.

Take coyotes. Where I live, regular coyote hunts isn’t allowed because it causes the female coyotes to produce more pups.

In the case of Sylvari: If you kill or persecute the salad people, then they will take root and multiply. Their bodies will eventually adapt and evolve, and they will become a stronger force than the humans, norn, and charr put together. Scarlet Briar was proof that there are geniuses in their group, and they will eventually rival the Asura anyways.

There are even recorded cases on the Tarnished Coast of Sylvari having intimate relations with members of the other races (esp. the Asura ). Earlier this year, a bunch of Asura got caught getting it on with their leafy friends. It’s been the talk in Rata Sum since the beginning of the year.

Knowing the Asura, I wouldn’t be surprised if they come up with a way make half plant / half Asura progeny. We did fight a sylvari / krait hybrid in the Nightmare Tower, so it’s not as far fetched as it sounds.

I love sylvari, they are tasty and full of vitamins,fibre and antioxidants.

Also the top part make a very beautiful home decoration.A sylvari-head plant in a flowerpot fits perfect in my room and it creates a foresty aroma.Heaven for my lungs and eyes.

That’s all very nice original poster, but i was under the impression that the human vibe is more like Victorian age or something, not medieval.Which is why a human Warrior looks kinda silly.Warriors are a province of Charr and Norn imo.

Human thief is just perfect.And also mesmer to an extent.

Thief, Necromancer and Guardian.
Guardians because lololololpaladinsololol.
Thief and Necromancer+ Mesmer cus their looks fit the 18 and 19th century vibe ,humans have in this game.

Lore wise , don’t know, still too new to the game to judge.

The original poster is suggesting to remove the things that make GW2 unique and make it just another WoW type clone.If most of the things that you mentioned are changed then the loyal Guild Wars 2 players will go away and you will be left with a volatile population average Joe mmo players.
I came here exactly to escape from all the things your ’’friends’’ miss from other mmos.
