Peaches are a karma item but they can be bought very cheaply in bulk for a few event’s worth of karma and will level you very quickly.
ETA: Of course, you have to get to the high-level area to actually obtain them, that may be more of an issue if you are still low-level.
Yeah, I’m not high enough to be able to actually travel through Fireheart Rise. I do have plenty of Karma for them though.
I was hoping there was an ingredient I could get from friends or buy from the TP.
Check the trading post for Raspberry Peach Compote, which can be used in Chef-350 ( Raspberry Peach Bar) creation.
Good idea! Thanks!

I have managed to get my cooking level above my adventuring level. At the point I’m at (360) all the guides mention peaches – which are a Karma item.
Is there something I can substitute that doesn’t need to be purchased with Karma? Something fairly efficient
I would be willing to purchase an extra tab that has space for all the discoverable ingredients (for all crafts) – it’s as much about organization as it is about available space.
I’ve already purchased three extra bank slots – they are full of cooking ingredients.
And I see no reason why they can’t make a slot appear for something once you have discovered it.
Alternately, I would be happy if I could put bags in the bank slots and put stuff in the bags (I come from EQ2 where you have limited bank slots, but you can put bags in each one to organize and increase space.)
While we are talking about cooking annoyances – I want to be able to sell the food to a merchant. As it is, I have 1 or 2 of lots of foods taking up space, and I could destroy it, but that makes me sad And you certainly can’t sell it on the trading post.
I think this is the cutest animation (Sorry, my video capturing skills suck)
Oh yes, I agree about the yellow ingredients – I’ve only come across a few and didn’t really know what was up with those.
mad ramblings of an insane chef
While I love the fact that I can discover recipes with ingredients in the collection/bank tab, I now have at least 45 “ingredients” that will not go into the collection tab and must be stored in inventory or the bank. These items are sub combines and serve no other purpose than to be an ingredient in another item.
It would be awesome that once one of these ingredient items was discovered a collection slot would open up for them.
Thank you!
I was really spoiled by the guild functions in EQ2. Many members of the guild I’m a member of came from EQ2, and we are really missing the following features:
Notification when a guild member logs in or completes some sort of achievement (leveling, receiving a title, other achievement, etc) – this could be an option that is controlled by both the leader and the member – in EQ2, each notification can be shown or suppressed on the guild level, and each member can opt out on a personal level. This would go a long way in promoting community.
Listing of members by character, not account. I was wanting to send someone a piece of gear, but I wanted to check to make sure they were the right level – but the last toon they had played was a baby alt – I couldn’t find their main toon anywhere, even on my contacts list.
You can’t sell karma items on the TP – they are account bound. I also noticed they increased the karma price – I believe it was 21, now it’s more like 35 – and I think I saw a 79…
But this change will make it much harder to level up now.
My bottleneck was level – I’m lvl 37 and 240 in cooking and need oranges now.
I wish they would have included in the status update the items they took off the cooking vendor – no need to give advanced notice, but at least tell us what you change after the fact.
