After a few re-customization attempts, finally got the look I wanted for necro sylvari. Just in time for that flower backpack too. I like how the flower glows matches her own glow. And if it weren’t for the scythe, no one would have guessed she was a necro.

I just want to suggest something along the lines of putting a 140 char limit..or less status update beside your name on the guild roster. The idea is to inform the guild what you’re up to or planning to do even if you’re not online. E.g. I open the guild roster, and beside my name would be something like: “Planning to Temple of Balthazar at X date, Y time, give me a message if interested”.

Guild announcements are limited to guild officers and contain only so much info. I don’t know, maybe it’s a bad idea, but I just want to throw this in for consideration.

Obviously we could just put up our own guild tweet account, but I was wondering if it might be more convenient to integrate this into the guild panel.

Another way if you don’t have the crafting materials available on hand (or the necessary skill level to craft decent gear), is to switch starting zones. Since all zones scale your character, do full map completion for zones that match your armor level. This worked great for me especially when I was starting out and had no money. When I completed the Queensdale Map,. I went to Caledon Forest, then Metrica Province, etc. Good way to gather up crafting materials and money which you could use to either level crafting or buy TP. At this stage in the game, a lot of gear below 80 can be bought for cheap. I’d advise against getting rares though. Green items will do just fine.

I change gear every 15 or 20 levels. But once I hit level 70, I stop getting gear until I’m 80.

I can access GW1.
I play from Manila, Philippines with Bayantel as my ISP Provider.
I usually play 6-10 AM PST. Sometimes 5PM-9PM PST.

I occasionally get Error 7 and disconnects, but this happens whenever I try to go to Cursed Shores map.

Same stuff happening to me. What’s irritating is that for my friends, everything’s fine. I’m the only one seeing error 42:1000:9001:4081:101 every time I try to make a group or whisper someone.

I certainly hope ANET is reading THIS particular post. OP is spot on.

Because it helps fight elitism. Imagine the following scenariio:

Player 1: LF1M Arah Path 3.
Player 2: I’ll join.
Player 1: <invites player>
Player 1: <inspects player>
Player 1: Your gear / spec sucks. Sorry.
Player 1: <kicks player>

This is a common problem in WoW. The geared get better geared. It will revolve around gear and spec rather than GW2’s shining point of skill based play.
If they allow that then they should allow dps meters too. And start to be more like WoW,which is a sstrategy that has never worked for any mmo competing with wow.

Already lagging, and getting kicked at the loading screen with 7:11:3:189:101
This is one is very odd though. I can log in my main character fine, and I can fight just fine. But communication is totally lagged. i.e. /guild /party /whisper and even the friend list is lagging. But hey at least I can fight and do /say right?

I have a lot of character slots, and all of them are filled. I cannot log into any of them save for my main. If I log in an alt, the loading screen will take forever and then show me 7:11:3:189:101. What gives?
