this happens to me often enough that I suspect you’re aware of the problem, so maybe this post is just to say it still exists? I think I explained it well in the short title, but basically knockbacks and pulls unto inclines are liable to send you airborne. I have not seen it happen to AI, only actual players. It happened to me in wvw recently (which I think is the funniest place for it to happen) and I’m going to share my recording of it. And an even older one I did months ago.

for what it’s worth, I completed the heart before all this bug thing went on. and after I fixed the story step, it didn’t matter I had completed the heart, I still could finish the story step.

your solution worked. my mistake was not starting a different story to quit. it seems you’re aware of what causes the problem so good luck with that, and thanks a bunch for helping.

SOLVED: I quit the story episode, started a different one, quit that, and restarted the current story episode.

How to replicate problem: disconnect, change overflow, go to character select during the dialogue with NPC. Doing any of this will stall the mission.

the story step “Sabotage Fort Evennia” cannot be progressed. I get disguise, and nothing else happens. i’ve included screenshots. i get disguise, Story Marker doesn’t move. i go into fort evennia, Story Marker doesn’t move. i log out and in again, Story Marker doesn’t move. i exit the story in story journal and restart it, Story Marker doesn’t move. i complain on forum, Story Marker doesn’t move.

hello

this may/will sound incredibly whiny, but is it not possible to improve matchmaking, so that i will play with people in my divisions? i’m low gold, but was just placed in bronze matches 3 games in a row. teammates told me so in team chat, and they played like it.

not even overwatch has this poor matchmaking.

dunno why this isn’t on your known issue tracker yet, but whatever. waypointing (while dead? dno) from hills will put you in a completely different borderland.

i was on green BL enemy hills, and after skill lag killed me and I waypointed, it put me in blue (home) BL. like, the starting citadel WP.

otherwise it’s a really fun game mode i’m glad you update so often.

While I fully get that you’re disappointed today, this is not about us shipping half an expansion pack.

I appreciate you take the time to not only read my garbage posts but also mention me by name, but you cannot escape that this has happened, and with work on new legendary being stopped the percentage drops even further. Obviously not the thread to resolve this, but if you could explain briefly why we should not care that:
*Dungeons were destroyed with the promise to work on fotm, and then fotm was abandoned (and ruined)
*Raids were promised, but as of now only two wings exist, and none shipped with HoT
*Guild Halls are abandoned, after putting existing guild features like +5 camps and other previous “free” upgrades behind huge gold barriers for seemingly no reason other than to prevent WvW players from realising there’s no content for them
*Only four new zones shipped with HoT, zones that require you to spend hours at a time for rewards, and with no solo play
*The inclusion of four new zones that are largely vertical, without any sort of improvement to the mini- or the normal map
*WvW was massively ruined with Desert BL, clearly showing how out of touch you are with this game mode, and then the promised rehaul of WvW was gutted
*Legendary armour was promised, but currently does not exist.
*Legendary weapons (16) were promised, but only 3 shipped with HoT, and 4 is all we’ll get for a long time

Look upon what you’ve done and tell me I’m not right to complain I was robbed with HoT.

I know you’ve ignored all my previous forum posts, but the problem persists. I’ll be playing when suddenly my skills don’t activate – they keep blinking but no action is performed. Then I’m forcefully disconnected. The launcher takes a while to log me in, if at all, and a bunch of error codes is thrown my way. The problem persists for an hour and a half usually, but up to several hours.

I’m from Far Shiverpeaks, playing in Denmark. Your EU servers are kitten. Even connecting to your website and forum takes a while.

Your EU servers are kitten. I’m sure you know my IP from these forum posts, and I’d like you to perhaps filter a different subsection of IPs to be affected by whatever update you’re doing to the servers during these hours.

In short, I cannot play the game in prime time, because your servers are kitten.

This happened while in SE. I had a disconnect at CM, but was able to reconnect. Now the client won’t even let me log in.

This happens most nights.

I complain every time, when I’m not tempbanned, in a desperate hope you’ll look into this issue, but I expect nothing, and I get nothing.

Edit:I am sporadically able to rejoin my party in SE, first time chat didn’t work but my skills did somewhat, forceful disconnect, and then I rejoined, chat works but my skill don’t. Forceful disconnect.

also despite the tempbanning and the increased flood timer on me, I will continue to complain, because even though you’re treating me the worst I’ve ever been treated by a video game company, I still like your game.

I suspect this is also why you’re ignoring the issue. Your servers are only kitten a few hours during EU prime, why say anything?

edit: I can make as many edits as I want! Since I can’t make any posts, this is what I will do to keep you updated on the issue.

edit: I have now made an anonymous request ticket, where it asked me to put in my real life name. I still expect nothing.

hahaha I know what’s going on, and so do you, Anet, and we both know you’re going to keep ignoring the problem and the customers affected by it; it’s only EU scum after all, right? Instead you’re doling out temp-bans from your support forum (how kittened is that) so it’ll seem like less of a problem.

My tempban has been lifted and I’m back to report it hasn’t helped the server issues at all. The game remains unplayable from around 6PM to 10-11PM GMT+1, and since banning me from the support forums (how kittened is that, anyway?) hasn’t helped, maybe it’s time to think outside the box. The issue has been well documented and I have no idea what information to add at this point, besides

also I was disconnected. I managed to sneak a peek at the Black Citadel on an alt, but that’s literally all that happened. I pressed all my skil buttons and they started blinking, and after nothing happened I signed out to retry. Then the usual failing to log in bullkitten that you’ve been ignoring since the 18th.

It’s not too late to make ANY sort of comment on this, by the way. Whoever is reading this and about to tempban me could just as easily make a quick post, I’m sure, explaining how my ticket is being looked into, OR ANYTHING AT ALL.

Now I’ve managed to get past the character selection screen, but I have little faith in how long it’ll last. Plus, the more I keep posting, and the kittentier my threads get, the more likely you are to stick a tempban on me, and that’s kittening all I have to hope for as way of confirmation ANYONE at Anet is giving the slightest attention to this, even just reading these kittenty threads! You know my account name, and I’d like you to refund all the dollaroonies I’ve spent on your kittenty virtual gems because by kittening God it’s been a waste.

This is an awful way to treat your customers, and it’s a shame you’re all too busy with taking swims in your video-game developer moneytank to acknowledge how many of your customers are being screwed over. This is right after I’m forcefully signed out, after a lot of skill lag and the 42:0:9001:4409 error code.

It’s super strange how this keeps happening roughly at the same time every night, and even more than super strange is how it’s been happening since the 18th so-called patch.

Maybe it’s time you communicated a little, Anet? Maybe go over what sort of data you put out with that so-called patch, or re-evaluate your server providers.

For the people keeping score at home, I can play now. It appears so, anyway. I’ll try to do guild missions, but I’m sure I’ll see you all tomorrow when the servers go to kitten again.

You already know all this stuff and what’s wrong, and I know I might as well yell into a well for all the chance the problems with the EU servers will be acknowledged, but I find it cathartic to post here and at least pretend you’re not ignoring me and everyone else victim of skill delay and being unable to log in.

But to reiterate, so you won’t tempban me again;
every night since the 18th Nov patch I’ve been unable to play for several hours. When it happens, and I’m in-game, my skills will not respond, and the only thing that works is chat. Then, at some point, I either try logging out and in or I’m forcefully logged out, I’ll be unable to log in for several hours. It’s becoming increasingly obvious from all the posts here that it’s not on our ISPs nor does it matter which world we’ve chosen.

The only thing that’s become clear is that it’s only EU players, which is well expected since you’ve treated us like a lower caste since day one, and by now seeing the servers fixed and the EU community apologised to is but a pipe dream.

Huge skill lag, disconnects followed by login screen of eternity followed by non-responsive skills while chat works fine followed by disconnects.

It’s still happening, and it’s been happening since the 18th Nov patch, and I have rarely felt so unwanted as a customer as I am feeling now. I’m happy someone’s taken the time to placate us with this “looking into the issue”, but that’s literally all that has been done.

When I finally do connect and I’m not given a bullkitten message about my router or firewall the game will soon become unplayable due to not only skill delay, but absolutely no skills at all – I’ll press ALL the buttons and they’ll just blink until I restart the game.

kitten off, I have no idea what a tracert is but it doesn’t appear it’s a program that came with my Guild Wars 2 install. What I do know, however, is I’m getting the same kittening error messages that everyone else has been getting since the 18th and the game is completely kittening unplayable. I managed to, just now, get bounty hunter only to get crashed out at rush.

Like everyone else I’m having skill-delay, endless loading screens, when I finally get past the launcher. And like everyone else I’m getting abso-fukittencking-lutely no red responses. It’s happening to people regardless of server, ISP or country of origin (except it’s only EU). It has been happening since the content-void patch of November 18th.

Isn’t it about time it was fixed? It should be clear by now that you cannot continue treating the EU players as a lower caste and you need to fix the servers.

I just booted GW2 via Steam (probably unrelated), and it runs somewhat smooth now. I can play, at any rate.

Messed around in TF2 for a while, but I’d so much rather play GW2. But noep, still stuck on the kittening loading screen. Error code 42.0.9001.4409 this time. This same kitten happened wednesday last week, and before the 18th November Great Disappointment Patch never at all.

And now I’m stuck on the Kessex Hills loading screen again. I don’t have high hopes for this one.

e: got through! skill delay right off the bat. game remains unplayable

Just now I managed to run around with my character for a few seconds before the skill delay hit me, this time up to 20 seconds of delay. Now I’m taunted by code 7:11:3:191:101. Pressing ‘OK’ doesn’t exit the game, or anything at all, I have to go into task manager and kill the process.

Now I got error code 7.1000.7006.462

oddly enough I still can’t play.

The usual kittening garbage. Happened on Seafarer’s Rest around 1700 and continues as of right now, 1820. Tried guesting to Far Shivpeaks, same kittening garbage.

When I do manage to get beyond the log-in screen, and when I do get beyond the character selection (after the ‘play’ button being greyed out for several minutes), and when I do get beyond the following loading screen, I’m met with up to 10s skill delay, making it in every way impossible to play.

Build 42115, error code 42.0.9001.4409 is what I’m looking at this very second, but it varies.
