I’m currently looking for servers to transfer too. I have been on my server since launch and now its just time for a change. I am a commander with a little over a year and a half experience in defending and attacking with small numbers. I play mostly in NA prime time.

I think it is pretty much impossible for DB to be out of T3 next week. CD and YB are not going to put up any points this week worth mentioning and won’t move up. SI is on a massive free fall and probably going to hit T4. If DB falters mid-week and SI manages to pull some points mid-week that could change though.

Long term it is possible that DB ends up in T4 but only if SI is better than DB which doesn’t appear to be the case.

Ahh, ok. I haven’t check the rankings lately. Didn’t know if SI was going to drop down that far.

Well since paid transfers start..today lol, I guess my 2 cents doesn’t matter. But basically these guys hit it on the nose. We as a server just like to have fun. Recruiting only gathers bandwagoners. With no recruiting we have gathered the guilds that are in it for more then just winning. As a result we have a strong community and our play isn’t to shabby either

Our guilds communicate and work very well together. During oceanic time we have numerous guilds still on. At 4am NA central time I still have no problem finding dungeon groups in map chat. As far as Orr population, it’s good and growing. If anyone’s having problems with Balthazar just send a pm to another guild and 99% they will send some guys if not bring a Zerg. GL with whatever your decision is!

Kaineng is kitteny. If CD can hold their own against them for the first day or two..they will all start jumping ship before the 28th rolls around.

Everytime someone asks me what wvw is like on Dragonbrand, I always tell them that it’s usually with high morale and no one calling out or trolling Commanders for decisions they don’t agree with.

Suggestions are always welcome. But take insults to a whisper please and not do it via team/map/say. It’s understandable to disagree with commanders, but to publicly insult anyone (not just commanders) is uncalled for and honestly nobody wants to have their chat box full of 2 guys going back and fourth.

False, don’t lie and get people stuck in CD right before transfers become paid. CD can’t hold +200 for more then 3 hours durning the day. Meaning 1) either guilds are infact actually leaving. Or 2) you’ve given up. And if #2 is correct please log back on and stop giving your points to FA, please. /begs

I think our down times are a about the same. So I’m almost certain I’ll have to plan my heal skill 10 seconds in advanced.

This is a heads up(I’m doing this because I WANT good fights…each Server we faced all but gave up when they came on and the entire map was painted our color…they still “tried”…but with FAR less numbers…iow: I’m really not trying to “brag”.)

Don’t know what folks have told you, but Kaineng has -MAYBE- an hour of Downtime…and by that I mean…an hour where only EB is Queued. Whenever your “Slowest” hours are…make sure your people are prepared to hold what they have. I do NOT want to win via PvD again…I want us to earn this win or loss legitimately.

Meh, well your numbers will again be superior. BUT FA, also has superior numbers and we are holding our own I would say. I’ve logged numerous times this week and had outmanned buff. It’s something we’ve seen ALOT of on Dragonbrand. But we will go down swinging!

I don’t know when your down-times are, I know Kaineng has few, so my only suggestion is to try and plan around those to keep us out when there’s only a few of you on! Everyone gets mad when guilds transfer to another server. Just don’t worry about it trolls will be trolls. But it’s a shame about the paid transfers. Guilds leaving and joining is what made WvW so interesting. Now we can look forward to fighting the same opponents for months on end >_> (once the rankings get settled).

Apparently someone calling something what it is is a troll. How did guilds joining and leaving make it more interesting? If anything it made it less interesting and more boring.

When your up against (whoever) for the 10th week in a row and losing again. You’ll wish you could transfer or that a guild could transfer to you. So yes I would say the transfers have kept WvW from going stale.

I also don’t think you realize that the guy you were referring to has been on Kain. Since it was T8 (hardly a bandwagoner) and that he himself has no power in MAKING guilds come or go. You calling the server a “bandwagon server” would mean that you were in fact trolling the server. Just accept it as a part of guild wars 2 and move on.

We still haven’t reached a final decision yet. We are sad that we have to leave, but ultimately we want a great WvW environment. This week’s WvW in CD has just been very demoralising.

Hayden, if that’s the reason you’re thinking of leaving, would you reconsider? Remember the fun WvWs CD has had in the many weeks prior.

The community didn’t just change. We were never always #1, but we enjoyed great fights and learning from other servers we fought. Even when sieges took 4 hours, we continued on.

This week is an anomaly. CD was left to fight 2.5 servers, and rather than prolong the fight against near impossible odds – I think many felt the same and decided to just speed things along.

All those things you were looking for .. it’s already in CD, and I look forward to WvWing alongside you again!

And what do you think DB is doing? The “2.5 servers” your fighting are being fought by us as well. So that’s no excuse.

You could always try a NA server! DB is very active during your play time! Mag is also one you might want to look at although I’m not sure how their question are.

I think all servers are “recruiting” and all will have the “best community” according to them. Go with what suits your needs. If your wanting a server with a strong oceanic presence then check out Kan, DB, Mag or any of the t2 and above servers will have that. Sadly because of such short notice your stuck with the community you go with so choose wisely!

DB is my home and I love it. We now have a server forum up and also have a mumble that many of our guild get on to communicate. We are (as most) a very welcoming server! GL with your decision!

..is it just me or is [BT] everywhere? Good lord you guys can field some players. Of all the FA guilds I’ve seen them the most by far, kudos guys.

I spent a while in T1 on a another server and honestly grew to dislike the WvW atmosphere. To much yelling and complaining for anyone to actually enjoy the game. I guess up there they had really lost sight of just having fun and began to focus on winning and winning alone.

With that said, that’s not Dragonbrand. In transfering here (as we were still in the middle of our epic fall) out community grew very close. We learned just because you get a outmanned buff doesn’t mean you can’t take SM a time or two :P . We are a scrappy server who goes down swinging (if we go down at all). But most importantly we have fun and that’s what matters. I must say as a commander, that we all (commanders) make dumb decisions every now and then. But it’s nice to see a community that doesn’t hound you for that mistake. SHOULD some random person become angry, there are 10+ guys always willing to take up for you and man that’s a relief.

We would love transfers, but I think more then anything we want to keep that unity and friendly environment. Please keep that in mind before comming here xD !

Because I was inside SM for nearly 2hours yesterday (hiding while I was eating) I can personally say FA is doing a terrible job of sweeping. There was no gate down, you are correct. There was a Mesmer hiding >_>

But to answer your proposition I of course do not represent the server but I don’t see DB as a server accepting the offer. It’s been a ride to get back to the top and just because we might not hit T1 I don’t see everyone jumping ship. Of course you guys might get some of our fair weather players, but me and UhOh have entirely to much respect for the server to leave it. Even if we were to fall to T8 .

No I’ve learned what they are..just doesn’t make sense. After getting to inner SM and seeing CD had made It in earlier today. I basically told my guys, “ok leave the door, CD is going to come over here and attempted to wipe us.” And you did, TRY. In the middle of SM with FA attacking both of us from the inner wall. Granted our numbers were good enough we smacked the guys you sent and got back to work on the gate, but still.

New topic! Although it is hard to understand CD tactics at the moment.

FA honestly hasn’t surprised me. I expected them to out do CD with their new transfers and they have (up till now). It’s a great fight and there is no clear winner yet which is very exciting. I must say its hard to adjust from just rolling over everything to actually having resistance. I’ve had to dust off my tactics book a few times.

I must say I’ve loved the match up against Yaks and EB. All in all it’s been a clean match up. Of course you have the occasional hacker but you’ll find that anywhere. I’ve got huge respect for both servers.

Neither YB nor Ebay combined can field a late crew like Drag. Drag can field huge numbers no 3 maps, we’re lucky to field a decent team on 1 map late night but try to push on 2. Again…fighting a brick wall = wall wins so why do it?…Im going to enjoy the Drag/Kaineng matchup. Almost tempted to move an account just to watch the late night fights. Dont think Drag stands a chance on whats coming, but we’ll see.

We aren’t worrying about Kaineng until they get here.

Also I would point out you lost SM and your garrison to our NA crew. No night crew needed. We love those guys from the oceanic time zone and there’s no doubt they threw us on their back to get here. But personally I think our NA has been brought up to T4 material with our transfers. When we hold 90% of our BL and everything we in EB should own. With additional points from other BL. I haven’t seen below +200 in a while.

I would be offended at being left out but I spend the very vast majority of my time Commandering by organizing defense in DB BL, and I honestly think I might spend more time in wvw with my tag off than I do otherwise ;D

Yes En, you do. Seems like when I first began playing WvW you commanded a good bit ( pretty darn good too I might add). Honest mistake since I haven’t seen your tag in a while!!

EA has some great commanders with Edgar, Drakk, and Akhen (the ones I’ve seen in EBG the most lately)

WE and KREW (our newest brothers in arms xD) are very good as well. I haven’t many of their names yet but I know WE has Kappa The Kay and KREW always manages to take the BL before I can get there to see who was leading -.-

Anyways I think as a DB commander I can say the biggest Ty goes to those brave souls who follow us into battle! A good commander can work with small numbers, but only to a certain extent. So 10/10 to you guys!

Wow so EBG crashed for DB mid-siege of SM..inner gate was at 30 and falling FAST with 0 supply left. When are finally allowed to get back in 3 min later gate is fully repaired and all 4 of our rams are gone. Plus an additional 2 arrow carts that weren’t there.

Give some credit to EB too not like they are not helping in your little alliance. Maybe YB should of not turned down offer from EB to go 2v1 against DB this week so could of made up for NA morning DB capping. But alas some thought it was cheesy to do this and EB then went to DB to work with. Oh well suck is nature of WvWvW.

What offer?

There is no INTENTIONAL double team. DB focused on you because you were in 2nd. Now that your in 3rd we are TRYING to focus on suppressing EB. But when you continually treb SM, with a small Zerg to support, your asking to get rolled. So we have to bring our entire group to Durios or QL and retake the towers to destroy treb.

Now I’m not complaining, but when I run across map and steam roll your tower that you forced me to attack. You can bet I’m taking those camps and possibly another tower. So before you start complaining of double teams you should look at your tactics first. EB sees that we hit you and they come from the other side..we can’t help that. That’s just the other commander taking advantage of a opportunity.

On another note, this week has been great! I feel like the score should be even closer then it is ATM. Many great battles being fought. Keep it up!

There’s always been less than 10 of us in the EB Jump Puzzle. Maybe a few stragglers from other guilds, but still usually 10 people at max.

We fight like over 25 though, so thanks for the hidden compliment.

Camping on ledge outside th dark room with members to port you up when you get yanked down. 3 guys could take a zerg with the balistas you have up there. No compliment. You were beaten by 5 guys last night xD.

DH, a very respectable server as a whole, but to the guy that created a whole new account to spy on our commanders in your BL..really? You’ve been reported 100s of times..nothing done by Anet though.
