Suggestion: Fix Sword before PoF?

Well, remember that precision strike also chills. It makes sense to separate the targeting for small groups (which I personally aim for at the beginning of such encounters). Not something I would personally change about it.

Unrelenting assault definitely still has its issues though.

The Joy of Grinding (and other annoyances)

Oh yeah, Sanctum Scramble. Was last thing I needed for Glint’s Bastion.

I definitely raged, but bronze is really fairly obtainable once you know where you’re going and don’t kitten up your jumps (which seems to happen to me a lot).

I can be very very stubborn though, so this was something I pushed at for a couple of hours to eventually get a silver (of course didn’t have to, but couldn’t let myself leave until I got at least that…).

PVE Support build

I personally forewent healing for a mix of boon duration, tankiness and power (and something usable whilst playing solo).

So what I came up with was full soldier armour, full wanderer trinkets and zerk weapons with runes and sigils that give +83% boon duration with facet of nature and pretty respectable stats at 25 might (usually have 10 minimum).

I occasionally change a couple of things in the trait lines, but mainly use devastation, invocation and herald.

[PvE] Why should I chose Rev as my main?

in Revenant

Posted by: Celldrax.2849

Celldrax.2849

Rev suits my playstyle and I enjoy using it.

My build isn’t even meta. Though a lot of that would come down to being a solo player who just does PvE.

I think I found a decent balance though, so works for my needs.

Playing a toon of the opposite gender?

Through all my years of playing RPG’s, this is something I’ve never felt uneasy about.

I mean, I’m just playing a video game, and I generally like to have an even split of male and female to mix up my playing experience.

I don’t know what it is, but females just look more badas@ when they fight :P

Heh, and let’s be real, it’s reasons like this some of us guys might like to play a certain type of female character.

will you change main at pof ?

Considering I’ve only been playing for about 6 months, I haven’t even reached level 80 with most classes.

So yeah, I’ll be sticking with my Rev through the Crystal Desert.

Thoughts on decreasing waypoints

Celldrax.2849

As far as HoT and season 3 is concerned, I never had much issue with fewer waypoints.

Kitten Silverwastes though.

At least we’re getting mounts, so that map will become much less annoying than it already is (not that anyone ever does that kittening map, but will make it easier camping for the mastery points…).

Scarlet's Era & special items. Is this right?

I just feel bad that new players only get the items and can’t play the actual content.

This. No matter how many items from that time they’ll obtain, new players will never be able to get that feeling we had then.

I think complaints might be justified if was still possible to play season 1 (in which case, we wouldn’t even have these season 1 boxes).

But it isn’t. Those of us who joined the game late will never get to experience it as others have.

So yeah, just opened up my free box and got Scarlet’s Rainbow skin. Whatever…

New content for a game I enjoy.

I know, shocking.

You’re also getting those 4000 gems at a pretty good discount, so I figured why not.

Finally stopped being lazy and finished off mistwarden.

And it’s true, it really is hard to make a decent outfit for charr (mainly with vanilla stuff). Especially when sticking to a colour scheme.

At least the Rytlock armour obviously works pretty well.

The Mounts are Useless

Going past mobs? Why go past them when you can kill them? That’s how I got the 2 precursors that I have gotten were from killing mobs. One was in one Core and the other in Silverwastes, both just from going around and killing and harvesting everything on my way to do other things.

Eh, I only want to bother with the materials and enemies I need at that time when farming.

Sometimes I just want to get somewhere quickly, and that’s something mounts would be really useful for, especially the dailys.

And yes, I know people like to bring up “lol just waypoint”, but a waypoint won’t get you there any faster to those A to B points in between.

I’ll obviously take the closest WP to where I want to go, but then I’m saddling back up (because again, I just find mounts fun).

Mounts will be available in core Tyria, and this in itself is just awesome.

Large bodies of water with the Skimmer will no longer be an annoying obstacle (for the Rev at least), the Raptor breezes on past mobs, so traveling any distance from point A to B will become so much faster and less annoying.

Mounts are also just fun. It brings a new way to explore the world.

For glorious Raptor cavalry charges!

Maybe I’m just old-fashioned, but I don’t mind the identify mechanic.

I certainly think there’s room for refinement though. And I agree it’s a bit tedious keeping it behind a heart vendor.

Claw of Jormag "Out of Range"

Last two times doing this, during the first phase and before first stun of second phase (when he relocates), I haven’t been able to hit him at all because it says this for some reason (yes, have even gone well under what I know to be my max weapon range, which is 1200). But once CoJ relocates and we finish the first stun, it registers my hits as normal.

Now, I know a single player especially won’t do much DPS in a highly scaled group event, but it does affect life siphoning and combo abilities which makes things more frustrating.

Both times I was using a hammer Rev, and as far as I can tell it hasn’t affected other classes and has only started happening after the patch.

Good to see vengeful hammers no longer disappear by uneven terrain or by random invulnerables.

Very long overdue fix.

One less worry though not having to spam it over and over in combat…

+1 for this JP. It was a mini adventure to itself. Clear enough to be visible, absolutely fantastic checkpoint system, and a moody thing looming in the distance, daring to be climbed.

And yet, in spite of the praise, I have to agree to this. I’ll admit to getting mesmer’d through a chunk or two because the terrain is, as usual, bizarre one which pixels it considers go or no-go.

Well despite my initial frustrations, I’ve fully scaled it about 5 or 6 times now for some reason.

I guess I just wanted to get better at it (which I have). Though I still hate the 2nd checkpoint boat mast. So seemingly simple, yet sometimes…

Not to be ungrateful, but is anyone else having an issue with the Bitterfrost Frontier scroll dumping you at the entrance instead of the middle waypoint?

Huh, I’d say Anet changed the spawn point for some reason.

Wouldn’t really call it a helpful change as there’s literally nothing at the entrance to Bitterfrost…

I liked it. Though I utterly loathe the immediate section after checkpoint 2.

If there’s one thing that infuriates me about some jumping puzzles, it’s the sometimes finicky terrain that makes things much more frustrating than they really need to be.

I was always hoping for something like this. Gave me a reason to go back and buy the ones I didn’t have.

Bit annoying having to manually exit out of inventory each time you open it, but that’s still one shared slot instead of six.

I assume it was just a matter of timing, but I tried that -assetsrv, saw it was going to download almost 400000 files on me, noped out of there, clicked my regular shortcut and game seems to be all good now.

So hopefully that’s that.
