One of the thing that GW2 is doing worse than GW1, in my opinion,, is how the story is narrated. Even if I like the story very much, the idea that the personal story and the first part of the living story can not be replayed is quite bad, because after a while a lose the thread of it and have to check the forums to understand what was actually happening. At least in GW1 I could rerun the coop, and check the story as much time as I wanted. Here is simply impossible. Anyway, this is not the point of my topic.

What I want to ask here is some points that I do not clearly get in the first part of the living story.
In particular the various relationships between scarlet allied. Molten alliance, toxic alliance, aetherblade, alredy existed or Scarlet united them together. And why they are all helping Scarlet awaking a dragon? I think they were not aware of what scarlet was doing? I can understand for krait and dredge, but also the inquests?

In conclusion, I have a bit of confusion in my mind about the political situation of the various tribes of tyria, in relationship with Scarlet. Can someone give me a resume of what actually happened?

You forget the very lower dps of hammer and mace, against 4, 5 or 6 summons hiting, cc, dealing condition, and protecting the foe. All then ready to face the first one that enter in roon.

Hammer warrior can pump a lot of DPS if well used, just its a steady output without the peaks that the greatsword have. In this map I am using my hammer war, and having a lot of fun!

I really like the new map and I would not change anything. It forces us to change our builds and playstyle and to use some skill or elites that were since now almost useless. It is completely part of tpvp in my opinion. It is not matter of skill alone, also of tactics and smartness. I think every map should be part of tpvp, even spirit watch, that was very fun, even if difficult to play. However I suggest to introduce some way to balance the maps and make gimmick builds less usable. The idea around Heroes Ascent was perfect. A series of different maps, which taken alone were easy to abuse, but you had to think at the team as a whole, and the team should have worked for all the maps, and not only for the first one. Something similar can not be achieved in gw2, because you can easily reroll even in the middle of the game. But if ANET can find a way to reintroduce that variety in game, and create more complicate tournaments, not based on a single map alone for 3 days, it would be much more interesting for all of us having many different objectives and maps.

I was willing to taking a break from GW2, a part from spvp with my friends, and the fact I am forced to play in order to finish the living story events made me really upset. It is very frustrating to be forced to log in and play, even if you are not in the mood to do it. I finished and enjoyed the F&F event, but I wasnt able to play and finish southstone cove stuff. I wanted to play other game, and just do spvp in GW2, (and this is what I did, in fact), but now I missed achievements and other stuffs. I dont like to be forced to play, and this produce the opposite effect, instead of making me log in to play, it makes me abandon the game. Also because, when I log, I would like to pvp or complete some dungeon, and instead I feel forced to do repetitive and boring things, because, otherwise, I am left behind. The result is that I can not play the game at my pace, and I have the feeling of losing important part of it, just because the time I can dedicate to GW2 is limited and I can not do everything in the game.
I really would like that ALL the events could come back in some way. Maybe make them temporary, some months an event come back, another month another one. Or give us the possibility to replay them, in some way. I dont like the idea of not seing the content because I can not or I want not play in a particular part of the year.

At the present moment a big part of the game is not replayable, I refer to the personal story and to temporary content like karkas and flame and frost. Why do not render this mission replayable, of course with some mofications?
For story, for example, you can not change your past decision, of course. The path you took is the path you will replay every time.
Karka event have to be different, maybe it can be transformed in a 10-15 people istanced raid (I would love to kill again the big karka, it was quite intense, and it was a good boss fight design, once you get rid of the lag)
You can add some rewards if you replay all the story, or scale up all mission to lvl 80, or add the story books like in gw1, that once completed gives you a lot of karma or materials or whatever.
For flame and frost, you can repeat the 3 istanced mission. You can change the rewards, and keeep unique rewards and title only for those who completed when it was live, but in this way also new characters and players have the time to enjoy the newly added content.

I would prefer this solution, instead of adding the dungeon only to fractals. What do you think?

I will be puzzled if the dungeon will disappeared without any traces after the 12th of may. I hope it will stay in some way… Like a fractal, as it was mentioned, but I expected it to stay like a regular dungeon with added explorable path and a new set of armor skins… It is very interesting to have one time only events, however in the long run, if everything new in the living story disappears we will have an end game made of very old dungeons, and the newcomers dont have any way to know what happened to tyria between the beginning of the game and the day we are now.

At the moment we have 6 maps, 5 if you exclude capricorn that no one likes. A sort of Random Arena with a long title to work towards could be very feasible. We know that in pvp the prestige is the most important part of the game. Winning in tournament should be more rewarding then winning in random pick up, and there should be no prestige in losing… Just this kind of changes could improve a lot our playing experience!

I have this brilliant idea for revamping spvp, that is introducing heroes ascent. The idea is the following.
Since we have several map many team could start from the same one (e.g. foefire) and the winner team goes to the following map, while the other have to restart from scratch. Each map gives you some points and there will be a rank progressing with the point. The best team will face each other in the last avaialable map.

Out of the joke: why cant we revamp the HA scheme in GW2? It worked well, they just need to build up some rank that are linked to the victories and not only to an mindless farm of random matches. Even the Random Arena Scheme could work well in GW2: people stay in arena until they lose, or they reach 10 wins, at the end of which they recieve some reward. Add some very long title to work towards and it would be a better time sink that 1 map tournament.

I think the pvp is much better now that in GW1, the only thing that is completely lacking is some kind of competition that shows how good you are. The title and the spammable animals, linked to the rank, are not enough, because they can be obtained even losing. At the moment if you stay in pick up pvp, you can achieve the same points winning or losing, and this is anything but competition!

I do not like the idea that every tournament match should be ranked. We do not have the possibility to test the team, nor to introduce new people to pvp, without the risk of losing position in the ladder. We need absolutely a form of unranked organized pvp to test team builds (not only the random pickup)

Hello, I completed GWAMM title in Guild Wars 1, however I can not select it in GW2, in no way. Can someone tell me what is the problem? Every other achievement I unlocked in GW1 through hall of monuments is working correctly. Help

Two different crashing issues

I have the same problem since some days ago. Windows crashes and reboot, or crashes and stay down. I have an NVDIA 550 Ti graphic card. Installed last drivers, but it seems it did not work. I did not test any other game, since I only play at GW2 at the moment, but maybe is time to return to other games. Some official news on this?
