Anyone have tips? Upgraded my gear to all rares, am now lvl 48. Still same thing. Get him to about 20% and he runs to his spawnpoint and completely resets the fight.
How do you beat this final mob!?
I started with my greatsword. It killed me about 6 times before I looked up this thread. Used the tactic listed here. Died about 10 more times. So frustrating.
I’m staying right on the boss. Not being hit by any projectiles. Anytime he performs a knockback, I roll out of the way of the incoming projectile and get right back on him. My problem is that once I get him to about 25%, he runs back to his spawnpoint and regenerates to full health. Eventually he burns down both the npcs with me (the ogre npc you’re escorting dies within about 10 secods of the fight starting so he’s useless anyway).
Anyone know if he is bugged? Resets every SINGLE time I fight him.
(also, I’m a lvl 45 Warrior in a mix of the cultural tier 1 and lvl 40+ quest greens)
I don’t see the Sylvari as having “sexuality” so much as finding someone they pair well with on a more mental/emotional level regardless of sex.
Devs have stated that the Sylvari do have genitalia but also that they lack all human/mammal organs. They also stated that Sylvari don’t have jaws for instance, but rather plant matter imitating a jaw. Basically all of their bodies are plant matter imitating human lifeforms but without the organs and bio functions.
I’d imagine they lack the organs needed for sexual intercourse while having plant matter that resembles what human genitalia looks like…but without any of the functionality.
Since Sylvari son’t breed, they have no need for sex. Their relationships are probably just strong emotional bonds they form with others of their species and since sexual intercourse is a non factor, they likely wouldn’t care what “sex” their partner was.
Since Sylvari are just plants imitating the look of humans, I’d bet that they really don’t even have two distinct sexes, rather one lifeform that can take on a feminine or masculine appearance.

the worlds first Charr
Turk Ashmaw – 0/10 If you are in the Ash legion saying that you are in the Ash warband, then you are saying that your character is in a Primus Warband. That ties your character into canon and basically tells everyone that your character is family with the Ash Legion Imperator
According to lore and naming guidelines I’ve read, the common warband name used in surnames can be the first or second part of the surname. And as for titles, the characters you create have a history as you begin playing them when they appear to be well beyond their adolescent years so according to your background, they could very well have earned a nickname in the 20-30+ years before we players pick them up.
I think it’s just that the all fours running looks so SLOW compared to other races running animations. In wow, I couldn’t play tauren until paladins were released since they had the run speed talent.
I initially thought charr looked stupid, but then messed with the customization and I’m now in love with them. And their story is GREAT.
My three year old daughter pointed out that charr look like beast from disney’s beauty and the beast. If you make a male charr with the forward/upward pointing horns and give him the correct fur color, you can basically make them identical to the beast.
My warrior us in iron legion. He uses greatsword and a rifle. I’be got a guardian in ash legion and a flamethrower engineer in blood legion. I don’t think classes should be excluded from specific legions because working independently, each legion will need specialists of all classes.
For instance, ash could use better guards and may need a heavy in certain situations to protect their less study scouts and assassins. Just like a ranged heavy legion would need melee classes between them and the enemy.
I like all of the above!
My Charr are named:
Skaar Redcannon (iron legion warrior) my 3yo daughter said he looked like Scar from the lion king, hence the first name.
Kurns the Broiler (blood legion engineer, flamethrower)
Turk Ashmaw (ash legion guardian)
I’ve never rolled a female in any mmo I’ve played. I’ve been playing since EQ in ‘97. I just rolled my first female toon ever last night. Female Charr look so kitten awesome! Sine if the faces look cute and feminine but still retain that dangerous mama tiger look that let’s you know to keep your distance.
Some if their faces (like the old alley cat missing a tooth and with cataracts are scardownright scary). I wish the male faces were as intimidating as the scary females.

I didn’t like Charr at first, though in every game I play I’m generally playing the more savage, bestial races. I gave Charr a try and deleted all but one of my Sylvari so I could make more Charr. They’re pretty awesome. I think it was setting a few of them in my first wvw that made me really want to roll one.
I’m also relatively new to gw2 so it took me a little while to get used to the guest system too. Basically aside from story quests, all quests are found in the game world and activate once you get within a certain range of the questgiver.
Look at your quest list in the top right corner of your screen. It’ll shoe you what level you should be to start that quest. If you need a few levels before you can resume your story quest, go out in the zone and complete the heart quests. While you’re doing those, complete Amy dynamic quests that pop up (sometimes you yourself can initiate these if you see an npc with a golden sun-like medallion over their heads.
Also unlock unexplored areas, complete skill challenges, find vistas, gather crafting materials, etc. It’ll all give you decent xp.
I certainly hope so. My human engineer is a gunslinger. Got a great duster. Now I just need the right hat.
