Exotic and ascended don’t make that much difference stat-wise. You should also consider that most tanky builds have a means of dealing damage and mitigating it as well. You should consider changing your build a little and you might see some change in the positive direction if you add some defensive utilities or toughness/vitality into the mix.

To get ascended stuff faster, go to one of the living story maps that recently came out to farm unbound magic/whatever map specific currency. Fractals also net a huge load of ascended chests. I’ve had days where I’ve gotten two chests just by doing the tier 4 dailies, so take advantage of those. All in all though, no it’s really not tedious to get ascended gear because they’ve increased accessibility to it in the past few months. That’s just my opinion though. Good luck either way!

I personally think for newcomers to raids w3 (escort) and w4’s first two bosses are really great places to get started. People also do training runs pretty often and there are always raiding guilds to help too. I guess what I’m trying to say is at least make an effort to do them in their current state because they aren’t that difficult once you learn. Everyone can take part, it’s just a matter of how much they’re willing to put forth.

Let people do as they please Rushing isn’t always bad. I’ve been rushing about finishing this, that and the other for a 1.5 years in this game and never get burnt out. There’s always something to do and if you can’t find something, usually you can make somethign to do. To each their own.

I’m not sure if someone already asked this, but have you tried teleporting to friend? Didn’t want to read forty miles of text, so give it a go.

I can’t say with 100% certainty, but I’m pretty sure some gear for viper ranger is actually sinister. I may be wrong though because I don’t know the build well, but most viper sets call for some sinister gear. I’m sure you’ll get better responses, but in the mean time I wouldn’t worry too much and just grind out a ring, accessory, backpiece and amulet from Bloodstone Fen and Emberbay. That’s the easiest way for guaranteed vipers trinkets.

No, that’s not what I mean. I’m asking what I will need to craft the precursor armor once I use the set I get from the box. As in, I crafted my first set of legendary armor, now what materials will I need to crafted the precursor armor to make my second set.

I’m curious what it’ll take to craft secondary precursor envoy armor in terms of mats and I’m hoping the devs will drop that kind of info a bit before they release the armor sets. I’m thinking it’ll just be like normal ascended armor or at least hoping it’ll be that way.

For swamp, I found having an ele or two running x/f is amazing. Swirling winds is super powerful there coupled with the strong ranged cc. Bloomhunger isn’t too bad if you get the cc’s off and have projectile coverage!

AHEM… I would like a speedo for my male characters. If lord Faren can have one I should too!

I wonder if that could ever be a thing? I’d love to have it in gold for warmer color combinations.

Just my opinion about people saying things like, “you don’t want it lowered cause you already have 150.”

If I go to college for four years and get my bachelor’s degree, but you show up and decide that four years is too long and too tough, so they need to give you your degree in 3 years. That doesn’t sound very fair to me, but c’est la vie I suppose.

I was wondering if in the future or if I missed it, but is/will it be possible to craft the other experimental armors? They all have certain things I liked and would love to be able to craft them.

Oh yeah for sure, I hope they stay open to positive criticism that helps them build and make even better raiding experiences in the future. I should mention I was referring to the baseless, negative criticism. The people that aren’t really providing anything but their own hateful thoughts.

I really love them a lot. I thoroughly enjoyed wing 3 and I’m pretty curious where they’ll go with the next raid.

I know it’s tough having people bash/criticize the things you create and do, so I just wanted to say thank you to arenanet for making raids so enjoyable and beautiful as they are. (Mad kudos to the xera fight/look design!)

Hello, I’m looking for a raiding guild that will get me assimilated quickly into their group. I have several stipulations though.

1. I can’t rep 100%
2. I want actual clears.

I’m not posting this because I can’t clear or because PUG groups haven’t been great, but more so because wing 3 is coming out and I’d like a group that’s going to put their best foot forward and actually try to beat it. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

Hello and thank you for this thread! Of late, I don’t get to play as much anymore because of real life issues. I’d love a new character slot because characters are kind of the best part of this game. Ya know, making them, changing their clothes, etc. If anyone is ever feeling really nice I’d really appreciate one.

Every time I try to do certain missions in the story that require a lot of dying or even if it’s as simple as dying once from falling or whatever, I get “Network connection” error and booted to character select. This has been happening since I started playing Guild Wars 2. I’m not entirely sure why, but it only happens if I die.

Same issue for me. I didn’t realize it’d be such a nightmare to do and now trying to get anyone is borderline impossible. I’m in NA but on a lot throughout the day, so just whisper/mail me if you’d like to try it!

If anyone kind and experienced enough to help me complete this would do just that, I’d really appreciate it. It seems as though no one will join my group in lfg and I don’t have many friends. Any help would be great. PM in game if you can and don’t mind.

If people don’t like the game, that’s cool. If people do like it, that too is cool. But if you don’t wanna play then just don’t play. Who cares if it’s thriving or dying? Enjoy the game or go do something else if you’re not.

I’m in need of a guild that has active players that are looking to clear the raid. I’ve cleared it on my ele and my druid. My warrior is geared to do raids, however, I don’t play her as much as should to raid with her.

It’s a little bonkers that dungeons are still in the state they are. People still need to run them for tokens, but getting a group for anything besides AC… not likely. I would really appreciate adding any kind of incentive to them to bring players back to running them more than they are now.
